Mike, did your price include the "Doc" fee as well? I have found many dealers charging several hundred dollars for that one.
  • ct_driverct_driver Member Posts: 5
Quoted 32,650 for TL with NAV via a SW CT internet manager earlier today.

    So they are getting better....
  • jaymar88jaymar88 Member Posts: 7
Did you finance with 4.9% and does that include the 1000 cash incentive?

I got a quote from John Mckay at Tustin for 32,120 including the 4.9 financing. He said they wouldn't combine the financing and the 1000 incentive. Minus the financing, it would be 31,120 + fees.

What was your total price OTD? TIA :)
  • jaymar88jaymar88 Member Posts: 7
Is that financed or cash? I'm going to Tustin on Sat to pick one up and would love to walk away with that price as well.

Did you get an extended warranty?
  • dgrazdadgrazda Member Posts: 18
I spoke with Tustin this week and there were extremely clear that these 2 incentives could be combined. Are you certain they are now saying "no". Something must have changed if that is the case.
  • gonein60secgonein60sec Member Posts: 56
Stopped by a local dealer in NY LI area today and he mentioned that quote he provided me included the recent dealer incentive with $500 going to customer and $500 to dealership. Have you ever heard of this? Sounds like BS to me. Another NJ dealer provided me an updated quote from the one he provided me a month back and his updated quote was about $850 less than the original quote. What is everyone elses experience?

Try Smithtown Acura. Internet Mgr. Don't know about financing combo though, as I am interested in leasing the car. Good Luck.

Look at post number 6384. Helped a friend buy a TL w/ Nav for 31,120 including dest. Also I was able to get my friend the 4.9% financing for 5 years from Honda. This deal was from Tustin Acura.

Madison, WI is where I'm checking. The first price that was quoted to me w/o navi was $31,999. After I sent an offer back to him for $30,480, he came back with $31,440, and not willing to budge another dime. I'm curious how all these other people are getting these great prices? Is it more competition in bigger cities? He also told me that you cannot combine the financing and the $1000 dealer incentive.
  • kennyg8kennyg8 Member Posts: 225
Mike, thanks for the info. The deal sounds outrageously and incredibly good!!! Based on the quoted price of $30,850 (with no other fees), the dealer would make little money on the car, unless the deal is contingent on getting dealing financing or trade-in, such that the dealer can get some profit on the backend.

The $1k savings is tempting, but unless I receive documented commitment from the dealer, I try to avoid travelling 5 to 6 hours (roundtrip) and not finalizing the deal.

Can you disclose the dealers' names and email addresses (and the quoted prices you rec'd)?

    Thanks.

gonein60, did you get a quote from Rallye Acura for auto with nav? If so, what is the price? Seems like jms8090 is a no show.
  • mikejones1mikejones1 Member Posts: 21
Yes that included the DOC fee. The only additional was TAX and TAGS. I called the internet manager expecting to hear that the phone was ringing off the hook but she said only a couple people called her regarding the price 30,950... I don't know what people are waiting for. It's not going to get much better then 30,950 for a 2006 Acura TL with NAVI!!

Oh well.. one can only bring water to the horse... :)

Yikes.. Sorry mods... Lets try this again.

Yes I received this through an email quote from internet sales. I had to go back and forth a few times to get this so I'm not sure you will get the same thing right away.

Just to keep the mods happy here is the info again..

30,950 2006 Acura TL with Navigation.
    Sussman Acura, PA

I can't list her name or email. So just ask for the internet manager.

    Good Luck!

Man.. That is one SWEET deal!!

I wish somone in So cal could swing that!!

    Here are quotes I got:

Hoehn Acura 33,124 w/ 4.9 for 60 mos; 32,124 in lieu of financing
Ball Acura 32,120 no 4.9 financing (I'm guessing they applied the 1k rebate)
Mission Viejo (Norm Reeves) 31,895 (1000 dealer incentive applied)

BTW, These are prices in San Diego and Orange County
  • kennyg8kennyg8 Member Posts: 225
Thanks for the info, Mike. It is not hard to google Sussman Acura's contact info. I'll also shop around this weekend in my area NYC/LI and see how close I get to that sweet price.
  • mikejones1mikejones1 Member Posts: 21
Well since Southern Cali keeps leading the pack on great prices... I have a feeling toward the end of August we'll see another drop in price. And I also think Acura will allow both the incentive and special financing for a few days at the end of the month again like they did in July.

Problem is that the good selection of colors and options is becoming less and less every day. I guess if your only thing is Price then wait till the end. Otherwise quickly find the exact car you are looking for and go for it!!!

Actually, I posted a page back. Try Smithtown Acura and their Internet mgr. Thanks.

I have been corresponding with the Internet Sales Manager at Buerkle Acura of Brooklyn Park, MN and I have been able to negotiate the price of a 06 TL auto w/navi for $32,248 (plus TTL). This price is with the $1000 factory to dealer incentive already applied. No extras are being offered (pro pack, etc.) and I can't use the low financing. Is this a good deal for Minnesota?
  • kennyg8kennyg8 Member Posts: 225
JMS8090, sorry I didn't see your earlier post on the previous page. I will try Smithtown this weekend. Thanks!!
  • dgrazdadgrazda Member Posts: 18
I spoke with Tustin Acura yesterday and confirmed that both low financing and dealer rebate cannot be used together. This seems extrememly odd that Acura would reduce the incentives to buy as the year is closed out, but apparently they have no problems playing games here. In the end it may not be a huge deal since I believe that both incentives will come back again, or something else will improve....way too many TLs gathering dust out there for them not to do something.
  • jaymar88jaymar88 Member Posts: 7
Same response I got. I'm just going to wait it out till the end of the month and see what they can do then. Its tought cause I'm really impatient.

I sent an email to Keyes Acura in Van Nuys, CA with a link to this site with unconfirmed proof that people were getting the TL with Nav.

Just got this e-mail from them this morning.

"We have the car and will do 30800 with mudguards and wheel lock. when did you want to come get it?"
  • gonein60secgonein60sec Member Posts: 56
jms8090, thanks. I've sent in a quote request to Smithtown. I didn't think really think about including dealers in Suffolk county, but there is no reason I shouldn't.
  • gonein60secgonein60sec Member Posts: 56
    kennyg8,
Rallye gave me a quote of $32,319, but this only includes half of the $1,000 incentive, which is BS. I'm sure the full incentive can be attained with some negotiating to bring it down to what jms8090 got from Smithtown.
  • potofgoldpotofgold Member Posts: 11
bgk99 - I assume this does not include tax and tags. Does this include destination?

I have a BIG REQUEST for everyone posting here. Please indicate what is included in the price.

This was we can make this an excellent tool for getting the best price anywhere.

My name is ..., Internet Manager for Acura of Escondido. I received your information in regards to the pricing you received from Tustin Acura. The price they quoted you is well below invoice. If that deal is still available you should take it ASAP. If you would like to keep your business local and not make the drive up to Tustin I can get close to your price. I call sell you a 2006 TL with Navigation for 32,338.42 plus fees, which comes to $35,170.89. That price includes destination, splash guards, wheel locks, and trunk tray. If you have any questions, please call me at the number below.

A lot of people here are posting TL w/Navi prices such as $30,800, $30,950 etc. These are all prices quoted by dealers with $1000 incentives that you get if you don't apply for 2.9% APR financing. Sussman Acura in Philly gives $30,950 quote as soon as you email the delearship. NJ quotes are pretty close too. MD quotes are on higher side. NoVA quotes are so so.

I checked with 20+ dealership and I think in East coast you can get TL w/ Navi for an asking price of $32k +/- $300.00 easily with all prices inclusive except tags and taxes.

What do you all think about what I said?

    Thanx.

    Rex

What I think is that Sussman is probably now being deluged with requests that can be used against more local dealers...
  • kennyg8kennyg8 Member Posts: 225
Thanks, gonein60. I heard Rallye is a big volume dealer, and believe that it may give a lower price than an average dealership. Based on what you told me, that is not quite true. Perhaps its location may have something to do with price, being that it is in an expensive locale on the North Shore. I also heard Rallye provides good post-sale services; perhaps to appease its more affluent Acura clients in the neighboring towns.
  • gonein60secgonein60sec Member Posts: 56
No problem kennyg8, thats what this board is about. The salesman said that they are still getting 2006 models as production won't stop until mid-Sept. The 2007 models are usually in sometime in late October.
  • gonein60secgonein60sec Member Posts: 56
    jms8090,
Requested a quote from Smithtown Acura and they didn't come back with the same quote you got. Their quote to me was $32,250 for TL w/Nav an $30,250 w/o Nav which was pretty much the same as Rallye and Manhattan. I'll need to get more recent quotes from Valley Stream and Island Acura as well as Paragon Acura in Queens.
  • jms8090jms8090 Member Posts: 30
Guys: Interesting story here regarding where you buy in LI. I purchased my 2003 TLS from Rallye in July of 2003 for 300 above invoice. I too thought that due to the locale of the dealership, they would not wish to compete on price. I was wrong. Walked in to buy car and walked out with the deal that was given to me over Internet. I can't complain.
When I went to purchase an MDX, Rallye was WAY off in what they wanted to charge me and then to add insult, they low balled my trade in. Smithtown Acura was fare and everything went smoothly. Of course, I wish that I was in the market for a 2006 MDX, as they are being blown out according to the message boards! The days of over invoice for those puppies are over.
  • jms8090jms8090 Member Posts: 30
Well, it comes down to this: perhaps I was given a lower price as I had purchased my MDX there? Repeast customers has some leverage? I'm sure that if you are serious, they will have some room to negotiate. Are you serious about buying the car? I'd say make an offer or wait until September 6, as the incentive will probably change.
  • boikoboiko Member Posts: 82
With all of these prices being posted, it's sometime difficult to know which place is really giving you the best deal.

So I guess one way to look at it is...which dealer is quoting the lowest cost (including destination charge) for an 06 TL w/NAV or without NAV..and still allows you to finance (24 or 36 month) @ their 2.9% rate. That might be a dead giveaway as to who might have the best price. Tax and License is on a per state basis, so leave that out.. There have been some really rock bottom quotes mentioned here, but in many cases that is because they are taking incentive money from other parts of the deal..

So if they quote you a great price and it includes destination charges, and they still allow you to finance @ 2.9% - you might be getting a very good deal indeed.
  • gonein60secgonein60sec Member Posts: 56
Just noticed on the Acura website that the Destination Charge for the 2006 TL increased by $55 to $670 from the previous $615.

I guess the price of gas affects us in more ways than we would have even thought! :(

'21 Dark Blue/Black Audi A7 PHEV (mine); '22 White/Beige BMW X3 (hers); '20 Estoril Blue/Oyster BMW M240xi 'Vert (Ours, read: hers in 'vert weather; mine during Nor'easters...)

  • buckeyebillbuckeyebill Member Posts: 14
Speaking of gas cost, in mixed driving w/AC on, I am getting 26 MPG and with it off, 28 MPG. If I drive a constant 65 mph in highway driving, I am getting 30 MPG or more. This surpasses what I had expected from the TL-this is an automatic by the way.
  • 06tl06tl Member Posts: 4
I think you are right on. I did the same thing with less dealers and really dug in for the best price. it came down to this: 30k w/out nav, 32k with nav. I took it w/out for 30k plus trunk, locks, mud g... I had to pay reg/Title fees under 200 bucks. anyone do better than this price for an 06?

also- I bought a portable garmen nav which i love.

I got an email quote from Radley Acura in VA (The one at Columbia Pike) this is what the internet sales manager gave me
This is for a 2006 TL Automatic/with Navi

    Your Price......... $31995

This quote includes all fees except sales tax, license fees, destination and $245 processing Fee.

    is this good??
  • motts24motts24 Member Posts: 4
I would take the drive up to Philly, dealers here are quoting under 31,500 with + tax & tags
  • loantl06loantl06 Member Posts: 2
I bought the 06 TL/Automatic/no Nav/with Wheel Locks for $28535 ($29150 with destination charge) and 2.9% Financing at the end of July. The cool thing is, I got to this price in less than 10 minutes after talking to the manager. It always better to buy at the end of the month. Out of the door price was $30,433. All the internet quotes I received was way above the final deal I got. I bought from the saleman on the floor. He was very pleasant to deal with. He actually threw in a little gift for us after we already closed the deal. I also tried to get quotes from the Intenet but the internet manager at this dearship was not very nice to deal with.

    Hey gang,

I've been working with an internet sales person at Vandergriff Acura here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The last price he gave me was around $35,000. That is the total out the door price, with TT&L, destination, everything. The accessories included are Ipod connector, window tint, theft guard, wheel locks, and floor mats. The purchase price of the car was $32,200. I thought that was kind of high, considering we are on the downslope of the year. Do you all think that prices on '06 models will go down once the '07s are released? Do you all think this is a good deal, or can I find something better?
  • liferulesliferules Member Posts: 531
My take is that this is a pretty darn good price, especially with the additions (Ipod, etc). The awesome prices are only being had in SoCal. For DFW, this is good and IMO, prices will not go down as inventory drops on the '06's when the '07's come out.

Its a fine art of waiting long enough to get the good deals but if you wait too long, then the '06's will become more scarce and dealers can be more finicky with prices...

Hey everyone - went to TWO dealerships today and they are almost exactly the same - Keyes in Van Nuys, CA and 101 West in Calabasas, CA

Spoke with both floor managers. Both offered free Mud guards and Wheel locks on a White 06 TL with Nav - Sticker price $35,326 and a $615 destination charge)

Showed them my research from HERE (thank you all) and BOTH said $30,800 + TTL was their "bottom line" and they "wouldn't make a dime". "They're just moving units, and that's fine". Both said I would have to take from their stock and they wouldn't trade with other Acura dealers if they didn't have the color I wanted.

Both admit their lease rates stink. The 2.9% to BUY the vehicle is in effect but both said you could NOT combine the $1,000.00 with the 2.9% - I mentioned that Tustin WAS offering the $1,000 and they BOTH said (paraphraing) "If you can get it, take it. They're losing money"

The residual rate and money factors they are using:
    66% for 2 years
    56% for 3 years

    .00205 for 36 months
    .00398 for 24 months
    but...
Acura 101 did say they are using a new bank (Merchantile) which is offering .00195 for the 3 year lease only

    Bank/lease fees
    $795.00 for 3 years
    $595.00 for 2 years

Basically, the lease in Los Angeles (with just a 1st month payment and 12,000 miles per year) would be
    36 months = $429.00 plus tax = $464.00
    24 months = $561.00 plus tax = $608.00

They also mentioned they didn't think the lease rates would get any better for Labor day. They were both pretty honest (one thought I was a car broker), but they ARE car salesmen.

    Can anybody beat this?
  • gonein60secgonein60sec Member Posts: 56
    kennyg8,
Did you visit Smithtown Acura? What did they quote you? All the LI dealers as well as Manhattan Acura seem within spitting distance with each other. The best quotes I have received so far are from NJ dealers.
  • leon2002leon2002 Member Posts: 2
I am from central CT but traveled to NY Curry Acura (in Scarsdale) for 2 hours as they have given me the best price on Acura TL Auto with NAVI. Here is the deal: $31,795, including destination and mudguards. Plus CT State Tax and about $60 in dealer fees (by the way, CT dealer fees are $200 to $250 more). I have called several CT dealerships: in Norwalk, as well as Schaller in Manchester, Avon Acura and Morande Acura. They all said the price (with destination but befor TTL and dealer fees) will be $32.8 -32.9 and this is with $1000 incentive (they said I can not use both financing and $1000). Called Curry Acura (worked with a Russian Internet Manager - his name on Curry Acura website). Very straight forward, almost no negotiation - good price right from the beginning. Travelled there on Saturday, the car and paperwork was ready. And they also gave me 4.9% financing for 60 months. Very pleasant experience.
  • kennyg8kennyg8 Member Posts: 225
goinein60, I did not go to Smithtown this weekend because I had to run some errands in the City. I only stopped by Valley Stream Acura, and they quoted $32.3k for an auto with Nav. Looks like the dealers within 20 miles of the City are very close in price. I have yet to venture to Westchester or NJ. I heard Paragon Acura is bad, but I have no personal experience with them. I stopped by Rallye last month before the incentive for the TL was in effect, and I believe they quoted me $33.3k.

End of the month sounds look. The only drawback is in color/combo selection.
  • kennyg8kennyg8 Member Posts: 225
Leon, looks like you got a pretty good deal. I believe the guy with a Russian name used to work for Paragon Acura, but I believe he may be a Russian Jew. I don't care about nationality, just want an honest and decent deal :) Curry is about 15 miles from me, I just need to cross the Whitestone Bridge and I'll get there in 20 minutes. I may stop by there next weekend.
