No info on that.
I asked my salesman and he said they do . $1000 college graduate rebate. Hopefully I get it! I should qualify.

Why do I feel I just got blindsided by my dealer? 1. This year I didn't have the time to research as I have previously, with this forum for our BMW's. And now I don't know......so here's the scenario.
We usually order two vehicles in March. But salesman called me and said there's a jump ahead program where we don't have to pay two months payments. My husband said see what the numbers look like. As always, we only want the premium package, cold weather package, heated front and rear seats, and heated steering wheel.
Initially we wanted the 12k. They gave us a price of $449. Sounded good, I agreed. (I didn't research this). At delivery, my husband and I realized that we don't use the 12K (the lease we were giving back was 12k and we only put in 29,859K) so we asked to go 10k.
Then they convinced us the run flat tire insurance, which jumped from $1,200 to $1,600+, (is that negotiable?) and an interior insurance for $499. ( I didn't want the interior insurance because that was free for the 2014 X3 that we still currently have.) After much conversation, and convincing we decided to accept it. Only because the interior is a light beige. (btw- never again will we go with a beige, light interior) Bottom line our monthly payment jumped to $502.00). That's really high! I feel they didn't do much for us. Question is, what should our monthly payment have been? I don't know the MF or Residual. I don't know if they used our BMW loyalty - ? ? ? ? ?
Oh, and the other 328xi that we picked up this week is the same as ours, except for the color. (black) We again had a $449 payment with 12k (same vehicle as the beige interior). My daughter also didn't use up her 12k miles on her old vehicle (23,000 total). She asked to change to 10k. Her monthly payment is $436.00.
I don't know the MF or residual for either. Again, I didn't do my research here as I have always done. And the jump ahead program.......two months no payments. Our 1st payment is due April.
The dealer also told us to call BMW Financial and ask them if we get any credit for the miles we never used. Is that accurate?

I calculate taxes on the payments of about $1750. Adding that to the selling price for a CAP cost of $49000 results in a payment of about $597/mo. That's really close to their $601/mo. Shouldn't be anything else in the CAP cost, because they are showing the other costs as being paid upfront.
1) Looks good. You are over 7% under MSRP, before deducting the $1000 rebate. No markups to the money factor or extraneous charges that I can see.
2) It's convoluted, because the rebate has to be taxed. It's added once, but it's subtracted twice. Once in the selling price of the car, and again as a credit on amount due at signing. You are definitely not giving it back.
3) Only way to move it lower is to ask for a lower selling price. Not sure they have any room, but you can ask.

Thank you so much.
The extra cost insurance packages are just killing you. Is it negotiable? Sure, decline and they cost nothing, which is what I would do.
Going from 12K/yr to 10K/yr raises the residual by 1%, which saves $13-$15/mo.
Not doing the research can be expensive. I can't tell you what your monthly payment should have been, because you really don't have any of the details or numbers.
I have heard of credit for unused miles from BMWFS, but I don't have any details. I would do as your dealer suggested and call them. But, doing a pull-ahead program may have negated that.

Great! Thanks for the feedback.
If I sign now, i'm signing at the current MF and Residuals. What happens if the MF decreases or the Residual increases by the time I pick up the car? (I was given an estimated 8-10 week build time) Am I stuck at the worse rates or can I get the better rates?

Rates can be locked until the end of April. If rates are better in April, you can take advantage of that, then. But, get this in writing from your dealer, as it is at their discretion (make sure you specify base rates).
@kyfdx , thank you for your reply. I'm looking at the paper work now. The MSRP was $46,595. and the sale price given was $41,340.93. Not including the stupid $599.99 for the interior "Environmental Protection", the $1,699 for the Rim & Tire Protection, and the Aquisition fee of $925.00. Total of all this is $44,564.92 . Originally, it was 12k @$449.00 . Now it shot up to $514.oo . What I didn't like was that my daughter also bought the same exact car but different color,(same day) her original payments for 12k miles 36 months was also $449.00. She wanted 10k and now her monthly payment is $436.00. That's a $78 difference that we are paying. I thought that the dealer was going to give us a great deal for both vehicles, knowing that another vehicle #3 would be in the horizon this time next year. That's 3 vehicles. What do you think?

A cautionary tale of what can happen when you don't do your homework. Dealers only talk about loyalty, not practice it.
Hi - Is it too early to know what will happen to MF and residuals for March 2016? I have a dealer telling me to act on a deal now because according to him, residuals will go down and MF go up in March. I'm pretty sure this is a sales tactic but wanted to be sure in case you knew of something dramatic on the horizon. I am assuming that there will be some type of loyalty programs in March. Thanks in advance.

The dealers do not know what will happen to the numbers next month any more than we do.

Thanks. I thought so as well. Was just making sure that for some reason 2016 MY 328i were not drastically losing value all of a sudden. Oh the games they play.

I'm not saying the residual value won't go down next month; I'm saying I don't know if they will.
Do the fees below all look legit? Nothing large outside of the expected acq and dmv, just hoping they aren;t trying to nickel and dime me. Pretty sure the lease price of $549 on an MSRP of $49,495 is solid:

they are letting me put 5 MSDs of $500 each to reduce the MF to .00097 which would make my payment including the tax be $487
My question is: Is there any value of me putting any money down to reduce the cap cost at this point after I do the $2500 worth for 5 MSDs? I would like the monthly payment to be lower but not sure if that's the way to do it because I would be pre-paying some of the lease right?

We do not recommend making a down payment on a lease .. it doesn't change the total cash outlay, and the down payment money would be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

I appreciate any help as this is my first time leasing. I was given the following offer in so-cal. It's for a 2016 320i, 36 month\15k lease. I asked about putting a deposit down to lower my payment and was asked to put 3,600 down and 2,800 would be returned. The 1k build out was added to discount. The payment would be 376. The info is as follows:

Is this California? Sales tax on a lease is applied to the monthly payment, not all up front.
36/15 lease numbers for the 2016 320i are .00132 and 61%, with $1000 option allowance.
Thoughts on deal? I know I should eliminate the Cap Reduction. How about sales price, etc? Is there any lease cash in March? Thanks!
.00135 MF and 61% residual is correct. There is a $1500 lease allowance
You are about 6% off MSRP before subtracting the lease cash. That's decent. Not sure if you have any more room or not. With the numbers given and $1500 CCR, I get $597/mo.+tax., which looks pretty close.

Originally, it was 12k @$449.00 . Now it shot up to $514.oo

During February 2016.
thank you, great forum.
If it's a demo or loaner vehicle that hasn't been titled, then new car lease rates would apply, subject to adjustment for the miles.

$517/month including tax in NC for a 36/10 lease.
they are letting me put 5 MSDs of $500 each to reduce the MF to .00097 which would make my payment including the tax be $487
My question is: Is there any value of me putting any money down to reduce the cap cost at this point after I do the $2500 worth for 5 MSDs? I would like the monthly payment to be lower but not sure if that's the way to do it because I would be pre-paying some of the lease right?
Thanks in advance.

We don't track selling prices, so I don't know if there is more of a discount available.

You are about 6% off MSRP before subtracting the lease cash. That's decent. Not sure if you have any more room or not. With the numbers given and $1500 CCR, I get $597/mo.+tax., which looks pretty close.

Also, is there any sort of markup on MF for European Delivery beyond base MF?
I know the MF is adjusted for ED, but can't remember the actual figure.
