Drive off 919.62 (1st month, taxes, fees, registration, tire fee,etc) but I rolled it into payments.

Monthly was $255 taxes included sign and drive. Includes 8 oil changes that should cover lease term.
I'm really happy with the car and deal. Amazing sales people I dealt with.

What is the net cap cost, if taxes and other fees are being rolled into the lease?

I called a second dealer and they want to offer me $324 per month with first payment and dmv at signing. Neither dealer will release net cap cost but say the rebates are 3,000.

You don't want to negotiate on the monthly payment on a lease; too much opportunity for the dealer to slip stuff in that you don't want or need.

You want to negotiate the lowest selling price and ensure that the dealer isn't marking up the money factor - that's how you get the best lease payment.

If I add the tax, DMV and acquisition fees to the selling price, I get a payment of $367/mo. Their quote is way too high.

Find out what the net cap cost is from the dealer, and how they arrived at that number.

I'm showing .00017 and 48% for 36/15 on the 2016 Trailhawk.

Based on the numbers I have so far, how do you get $367/month? I am still learning how this works, but here's how I calculated things:

$29,223 selling price
+ $1,091 tax
+ $500 acquisition
+ $517 DMV fees
= $31,331 total (net cap cost?)

- $17,217 residual
= $14,113 depreciation

divided by 36 months = $392/month, exclusive of finance charges. Then,

$31,331 net cap cost
+ $17,217 depreciation
= $48,548
x .0011 money factor
= $53.40/month in finance charges

$392 + $53.40 = $445/month total lease payment

Can you check my calculations and let me know where I'm messing this up? Thanks!

OK, I see the issue. Your MF is way too high. I've got a MF of .00017 (3 zeros), so the monthly finance charge is a teeny tiny $8.25/mo.

I also messed up the math on the net cap cost ... so, I get just over $400/mo

Nope, we have great credit and the dealer hasn't even run our credit yet, that's just the money factor he gave me. The dealer must be marking it up then?

Chrysler Finance allows a markup of .00042 max; this could be a lease from a different bank, which we won't be able to confirm.
