No incentive info from Chrysler capital.

There is incentive money available to the dealer for 3rd party bank-sourced leases - these sweeten the deal for the customer.

If you monitor the inventory, you might be able to score a better deal next month. That said, if you're looking for a particular trim and color combo, those might be gone before you get serious. And, there's no information that says the lease numbers will be better or worse next month.

Thanks for the info. I'm a bit new to this car leasing thing so have a few basic questions. Why does the MF differ so much between car type and models?. I got numbers from Edmunds on for example a Jeep Compass Latitude and Sport that were 10 times more? (MF was .00010 and .00001) Also from what I have read I multiple this by 2400 to get the interest rate on the lease ? It that right ?

Depends on how badly marketing wants to move the existing inventory.

Yes, multiply by 2400 to get an interest rate - but, the MF decimal value is better for calculations of the lease payment.

The difference between .00001 (.024%) and .00010 (.24%) really isn't that big. Both represent almost free money.

I have a dealer trying get me to lease with a company called Cal or Kal leasing. Apparently it's a 39 month lease at 12k miles. The payments are significantly lower than going with chrysler, ally or us bank and the numbers don't add up. I also understand a 39 month lease for a Jeep is probably not a good idea. Any thoughts?

Never heard of this company, so can't help you with the numbers.

Agreed that a 39 month term through Chrysler Capital is a bad idea.

Was told I need to include Customer Preferred Package 27L ($4,000) to get some of the features I wanted (e.g. V6, sunroof, etc.) Can someone please tell me what else is included in Customer Preferred Package 27L? Also, any update on money factor and residual for a 36 month, 15,000 mile lease would be highly appreciated, if available.

MSRP: $28,290
Trade Incentive: $26,100
Trade Payoff: $28,427
Negative Equity: $2,327
Rebates/Incentives: $6,250
NET CAP COST: $25,806

Residual Value: 50% or $14,145
Money Factor: .00140
39 Months/12k miles

Final Payment (including tax) : 387.05


They juiced up the trade in value because technically i have closer to 5-6k negative equity (bad original lease set construction). They're using a company called "Cal Automotive". The issue is my wife has a massive disparity between her Transunion and Experian credit scores (568 versus 710). My question is first, is this a decent deal? and second, would it make sense to see if Chrysler Capital would use the higher experian score of 710 for Tier 1 rates ?

The money factor is a lot lower with Chrysler Capital, but the residual is lower as well, and you won't qualify for most of those rebates.

Generally, the dealer's computer compares the programs and spits out the one with the lowest payment.

If you truly have $5-$6K of negative equity, then yeah, that looks like a decent deal.
