    The money factor is high, because VW doesn't feel the need to subsidize the lease with a lower money factor.  GTI's tend to hold their value much better than regular VWs.  So if you can swing the payment, you might be better off with the 0.9% APR financing.  After three years (the period in which you would have leased) you will most likely have equity in the car.  Even though your monthly payments will be higher, you will not have to pay a bank fees to start off the lease.  If you want you can turn around and roll that equity into another purchase three years down the road.

    Bummer. Was hoping for a downward trend in MF since sales were so bad last month for VW. Guess the GTI is the only thing selling right now!

    Exactly, VWoA is not having trouble moving GTI's, just pretty much everything else. I would expect to see an increase in the loyalty/conquest dealer cash at some point.

    Big drop in money factor as well as residual and $1K lease cash.  I wonder how it will affect the lease payment.

    What are the MF and residuals for the 2016 GTI 4-door manual w/performance pack in both the S & SE trims? In Georgia. Right now, VW is offering $1000 loyalty cash. True Car has the 4-door S w/pp at 25K in GA. Given the popularity of the GTI, is this feasible?

    By the way, with all due respect, the 69% residual on 36/12 doesn't seem right. It would lead to monthly payments far below the best deals I've ever heard of on any GTI. Did you possibly mean 59%?

    Thank you! Perhaps you might give me some advice. I was thinking of adding my mom as a cosigner on the credit application. I have good credit, but she has excellent credit, so I thought that would help me keep a low MF. The flip-side is that I have a job, but she's retired, so she won't be able to show much income (unless retirement funds count), and I worry that that would hurt rather than help in the end. I would appreciate any input on the matter!

    Sorry, don't have any advice for you on that matter. Are you concerned that your credit score won't qualify you for the top tier MF?

    Currently VW is offering $1,000 loyalty incentive and $750 incentive for leases. Any word on whether those incentives will drop off considerably in Jan or Feb? Also, anyone aware whether the MF and residuals will be less favorable in January/February than they are now?

    Loyalty incentive has already changed three times since they started it, so there is no telling where it will go.

    Generally, residuals drop over the course of the year, while money factors get better, to maintain the same lease payment offers. (but, it might not happen that way)

    Looking for the current rates on the following.
    2 door GTI in S and SE trim both with perf pkg
    manual
    lowest miles. 10K per year I believe
    24 months then the next term (30, 33 or 36month?)
    money factor and residuals
    any lease cash in December or any other incentives?
