Hi, are all the special edition iterations of the Wrangler Unlimited Sport (willys freedom etc) the same residual or are they each different? Can I please have the residual for 24/15 and 36/15 for sport and, if different, the Sport S, Willy's, and Freedom. I assume MF is the standard that's been posted on here. I am in CA. Thank you!

Yes. (See attached). Some information on my deal - 36/15k in FL on a 16 JWU Sport S: (Also see attached) 1. CC is giving 71% with .0235 (Best I MF could find anywhere). 2. MSRP $37110 3. $1910 off. (I was told this was dealer "cost".) 4. $0 down @ $463 / month (I was told elsewhere that Ally is giving 78% but with .0325.) Comments?
I'm close - $450/mo assuming 7% tax.
Probably as good as you're going to see. These are insanely popular.
--- I think you are right about my earlier post being a good deal. In a previous deal that I walked away from (attached below), I was only able to get $385 with $3,000 down on $36,960. And, no offer from this local dealer at all for 0 down so it's nice that the other dealer put all the numbers on one sheet (the deal I took was from a "mega" dealer). ---
A couple of questions please. Can you special order a new Jeep Wrangler Sport if you intend to lease it and still be eligible for lease incentives and is there a way of making a one time lease payment?

No idea about the ordering part, but I don't think Wranglers have lease incentives, anyway, do they?
Chrysler Capital may have a single-pay lease program, but we don't have any information on it.
Hi Please tell me RV for 2016 Wrangler Unlimited (4doors), for 36/10 for Freedom, Sahara, Willys Wheeler W and Rubicon trims. I believe the MF is still the standard MF (.002). Thanks a lot. Keep up the good work!

Hi, I thought all variations of Sport i.e. (Sport S, Willy, Freedom) etc have the same residual. Freedom and Willys like you said have a RV of 72%, just wondering if RV for sport s should be 72% or not. This is for the unlimited right. Thanks.

Sorry, unlimited sport s does have a 36/10 residual of 72%

Did I read correctly above that the lower models (Sport, Willys) have a ~72% RV while the higher end Sahara, Rubi, and Rubi HR all have 63-64%?
Also, when do order banks open for 2017 and can you confirm the addition of LED headlights as standard on the Sahara and up models for next year? Thank you!

That's correct and typical for most make/models. Higher trim lines have lower percentage residuals.

No info on standard equipment.
I know that residuals for higher trims are lower. But I have seen a difference of may be 2-4% in residuals among trims but 9% is crazy. A 40k Sport S will cost you like $100/month less than a $40k Sahara just because of that difference in residual.

And yet jeep is leasing or selling every one they make, regardless of trim level.

great forum. thank you all for your help.
could you please tell me the MF and residual on:
Wrangler Sport and Black Bear w/ automatic transmission
Wrangler Unlimited Sport and Black Bear w/ automatic transmission
I'm in NYC and looking for 36/12 or 36/10
Thanks in advance!
I had a friend of a friend in a NYC Chrysler dealer who wouldn't get too far into detail without me walking in the door but offered:
2016 wrangler unlimited sport 24s package 35,620 sticker and selling 36 mo / 12 k miles 78% residual $340/mo tax first month and fees up front rounded to 2,000
i know its vague and there's no wiggling or negotiating involved, but does that seem accurate? Seems like it would be standard MF.
78% would seem to make it impossible to purchase at lease end, am I right?

With those prices, and assuming a .00200 MF, I get $344/mo before tax.
However, the only residual on the Sport that is 78% is for 24/10.
So, something seems off on the quote; the 24 month payment with the same numbers is $453/mo
MSRP 40265 Selling Price 39000 (This is the initial quote, I can try to negotiate) Residual 72% MF .0019 Term 36
- Fees - Total 985.27 (Breakdown as below) L&T fees - 221 Acq fee 595 Doc Fee 169.27
- State/County tax is 9.5% - Total $1813.68 - USE tax for Chicago residents another 9% (The $ amount was not disclosed on the quote)
With 1502.54 due at delivery (which is 1000 down + first payment 502.54) Monthly payment comes out to be $502.54
Now here are my questions for you Michaell:
My math shows, before tax payment of 406.78/month
State/County tax 9.5% of 406.78 = $38.64/month State/County tax 9.5% of downpayment ($1000) = $2.64/month Total State/County tax = $41.28/month ($1486.08 for term of lease vs $1813.68 as quoted)
Use tax 9% of $406.78 = $36.61/month (The $ amount was not disclosed on the quote)
Total payment = $484.67
They quoted $502.54 with 1000 down and first payment. Am I doing anything wrong here?
Also, shouldn't the acquisition fee be waived?
I just want to make sure my calculation are correct, especially the taxes before I try to negotiate any further.

Rather than guess, ask them to explain their tax quote. Because that seems to be the whole difference between what you estimate and what they quote.
We show an acquisition fee waiver, but that may not be nationwide.

I took your advice and this is what I was told.
In addition to, on monthly payment, taxes are also paid on 1. Acq fee 2. Doc fee. 3. Manufacturer Cap cost reduction 4. Customer Cap cost reduction.
Most manufacturer cap cost reduction are taxable. So if you get a holiday credit of $2000, you pay tax on that. If you pay $1000 down, you pay tax on that as well.
I had no idea this is how taxes were calculated. Live and Learn
