2016 Honda Civic Lease Questions

OK, the new Civic has been available for a week or so now. Time to start posting some numbers. Looking at an LX or EX in Texas, 36 months and 12,000 miles a year. I think I've seen the residual should be 65%.

I know Honda isn't going to do any incentives on a brand new car, but any chance next months numbers will be any better than they are now? My current lease is up at the end of December, so I'm probably not going to be able to wait for the incentives to start showing up.

We don't have any numbers for the 2016 Civic. Sorry.

The current program for all other models is scheduled to run through the end of the year, so seems unlikely they would add incentives or improvements in December (but not impossible).

That's where I saw the 65% residual. I called a dealer and verified it. They also said they were surprised that the 39 month lease has the same residual and were positive that would end after the end of December.

Honda will do this from time to time --- make the 39 month residual the same as the 36 month residual.

  • Does anyone know if MFs from 2015 model are still relevant? Trying to get an idea of what to expect when I go in and talk numbers tomorrow. SoCal specifically.

.00022 MF, with $1200 or $1450 lease cash, depending on sedan/coupe and trim.

    Which one?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I am looking to lease a 2016 Touring and I'm wondering if MFs for 2015 and 2016 models are similar or if the MF is model year dependent.

2016 Touring is 58% for 36/15 and probably a .00165 MF (standard Honda rate).

Wow, that's a lot higher than some of the 2015 MFs. Will credit rating make a difference or is it higher simply because its a new model?

MF is higher because it's a new model. Many of the new Honda products are using that MF as well (HR-V, CR-V other than LX trim, Pilot).

Where can I get more info on the lease cash and bonus lease cash? I'm not seeing it in the Edmunds Incentives & Rebates section.

It's a dealer incentive, so you won't see it anywhere.

Is it only for specific models and year or for all 2015 and 2016 Hondas? Thanks.

It's specific to model and year, just like all the other lease variables.

What is the best purchase deal I can get this month in Miami, FL., for a 2016 Honda Civic EX w/ auto Transmission?

  • is the residual calculated off the List Price? Or Sale Price?

Residual is calculated off the bottom line number of the window sticker (MSRP + options + destination).
