    It sounds like a lot of dealers aren't even aware of this right now. I have to wonder if they're (1) breaking the bad news in F&I or if (2) BMWFS is going to be kicking back leases.

    These new rules are going to catch everybody short, I suspect.

    Probably right. All I can think is BMWFS is offering additional backend money now to compensate for this, unless they're hoping to discourage leasing on these. Only reason I can think that I ended up with 25% off MSRP.

    I was thinking the same thing. Generous incentives to the dealer, to make up for the lower residual.

    When do the Feb numbers come out?

    I just got offered this deal on a 2017 X1 AWD with sunroof and driver assist package, Glacial Silver/black sensa/fineline trim with pearl accent 12/36 lease. But still waiting on an answer about the money down. Can't tell if that is the actual drive off cost or will more fees be added to bring it well over $2500. Easier for me to attach image. Seems I can do better on the interest. MSRP 40,090. I asked if they just had the same with premium package instead of add-on sunroof and driver assist which would be a $750 difference and the answer was yes but MSRP is 45,550??? How does a base price of $35,100 go up $10k when adding $3950 in options? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My fiance wants this car from which ever dealer by Sunday!
