Can't really say. We need the MSRP and adjusted cap cost in order to tell you.

Never had a lease before, so reading through and trying to learn the lingo. What does MSD stand for? I think I've picked up it's a way for the dealer to make money, accurate?

MSD is multiple security deposit, and it allows you to 'buy down' the MF on the lease. Each security deposit is the amount of each payment rounded up to the next highest $50, and for Lexus each one reduces the MF by .00008. A max of 9 SD are allowed.

The best part is that the money you pledge for MSD is returned to you at the end of the lease.

$1k lease incentive
Texas sales tax reduced to 1%
$392/mo with TT&L down

Solid deal - the overages are adding about $36/mo to your payment, so in truth it's closer to $356/mo.

Payments were calculated at $430 per month (which I couldn't figure out how to recreate on the edmunds lease calculator so I am confused).

Using $42,124 as the cap cost, I get $501/mo.

Find out how much of the $5000 is being used for cap reduction.

MSRP 42283. CAP 38580. Somehow the payment still seemed really high $499 (could only talk them down to $480). $0 drive off, first month complimentary payment. Missing something in my calculation (I get $445)?

I confirm the .00070 MF and 60% residual for 36/10.

Using your prices, I get $412/mo plus tax.

Find out the true adjusted cap cost - if this is $0 due at signing, then the acquisition fee and other costs are being added in.
