2016 3.8 AWD Sig 36/12 and 36/15 lease cash, residual and MF in Twin Cities MN please? Thank you! Also, is there info on mileage overage cost/mi for 36/12?
.00027 MF and 56%/54% residual. $3750 lease cash
I don't have information on Hyundai's over mileage charges.
If you go over the allotted miles, it's .20 per mile.
(ask me how I know this...)
OK, I'll bite. How do you know this?
By the way, I couldn't close a deal in July so decided to wait for August numbers. Any idea when you might get those for my previous request?
Because I am 33 months into a 36 month lease and am currently over my allotted mileage by 3000. Trying to use my wife's car as much as possible to minimize the damage.
August numbers on AWD - .00027 and 56% for 36/12. Subtract 2% for 15K. $3750 lease cash.
Hmmm, apparently there is no change from last month.
Have you looked into what your car is worth right now against what the pay off is? On the off chance that it's worth more or close to your payoff amount right now even with the mileage overage, you could probably negotiate a trade-in on a new lease without too much pain.

I've looked .. about $3000 upside down at the moment.
And, there is the possibility that I'll simply turn my car in and not replace it at the end of the lease. I work from home and there is often a car here (wife and daughter commute together 95% of the time) for those occasions where I need to have one.
could you guys see this deal if it's a decent deal or not?
2016 Genesis 3.8 sedan AWD

We show .00027 MF and 57% residual for 36/10. $3750 lease cash
If the selling price was the CAP cost, I get $403/mo.+tax
But, we don't know your fees, taxes, etc, etc.. So, hard to compare.

Well, if you might not re-up on a new lease, then that's a different story. Plus Uber/Lyft can cover the other 5%. But still, it doesn't hurt to ask though.
I know it's YMMV, but I emailed my dealer on a car that was estimated at $30K max in the Real World Trade Values thread where my payoff was $32.9K, so ~($3K) negative equity. I got $33.5K early trade-in credit on a new lease.
I'd done 4 leases with this GM and told him that I wanted to get a new lease on a better-equipped car with less mileage than my current lease (I was way under mileage on a 15K/yr lease). He gave me a '16 quote with the same monthly payment as before with the trade-in credit cancelling my negative equity on the old car sight unseen. (And the selling price on the new car was more than fair, so it wasn't like he just played around with the numbers.) He flat out said that since I was a loyal customer, he just wanted to make sure I was happy.
Yes, there are car dealers who value customer relationships.

tough one. There have been very few comps out in CA, which is often its own little market. Over here on my side of the country, it might be $28k. It COULD stretch to $30k in CA, but I wouldn't bet on it.

My local Hyundai dealer also values relationships ... I'm sure they'd work very hard to get me into a new vehicle at a decent price. I'm just realistic about the value of my current car as a trade.
Being a moderator on these forums for the past few years has desensitized me about the buying / leasing process. It's just a business transaction.

No numbers on the "Genesis" brand vehicles yet.
Thanks. So I just need to go by what the dealer is giving me? 56% residual and 0.0005 Money Factor since I lease a BMW say there is a competitor offer of 1k. The MSRP is 42500 and the quote I got it 1k down and 499 a month (including the 8.5% CA tax rolled in) for 36 month, 10k mile lease. I dont have the the sheet so cannot recall the actual selling price.

The dealer can't adjust the residual, so you don't have to worry about that part of it. It's set by the bank.
MSRP 42350 with taxes, acquisition total 43910 rebates, credits 4500 (including 1000 competitor offer as I have a BMW lease) down payment 1000 cap cost reduction 5000, first payment 499 adjusted cap cost - 38910 Residual 23716 Payment 456.51+43.37 taxes = $499.98
I think the deals will get better and they will reduce the selling price and people will do better ...the cars just came in and there were only a handful in a few dealerships in bay area and I needed a car asap. Hope I did not do too bad.
Can anyone provide the residual they are using for their 48 month leases? I am assuming 10,000 miles per year. Here in NJ, they are running a deal zero down, $359 a month plus tax for a base AWD Genesis for 48 months and I am curious as to what their residual being used is. I asked for a 36 month lease payment and it came in much higher (and it was a loaner/demo) as well and the payment is higher which seems bizarre to me.
What would the 36 months, 10K per year residual and MF be on a base model and then one with the signature package both AWD? Thanks. Also, it appears they are doing 39 month contracts too......... what would the residual and MF on the 39 month contract be? Thanks!

Congrats! And yes, as more inventory arrives - and Hyundai clears out the remaining 2016 Genesis' - the deals should get better.

Its a rebadge and bundling of options. All the safety technologies are standard in base which is what I wanted. I do not use the sunroof thought the upgraded audio would have been good but did not want to pay for Premium. The Hyundai logo in the back is gone and its all Genesis branding and G80 for the model moniker. The other difference I saw on the window sticker was they include 3 year complimentary maintenance, and also 3 year complimentary valet. Do not see any other difference from the 2016. I could not find many 2016s with the dealers around my area. There were 2015 5.0 models that were being discounted $10k but not many 2016s around to negotiate.

We price our cars more aggressively than anyone out there. Other dealers will often sell their car for more and then have a lower money factor, so you end up paying more in the long run. I understand that you are trying to get teh best deal, but ultimately you are going to buy from the dealer that is going to give you the best Monthly Payment. With the rarity and limited availability of these cars I would love to earn your business.
My payments are the same as what I quoted you previously, which option works better for you?

Not being scammed, you just have a dealer that doesn't want to negotiate the details. Which leaves open the possibility that you won't know exactly what you are paying for.
Have you shopped around to see if you can get a lower payment?

Thanks, I Bought My Last 2 Cars, Leasing Has My Head Spinning
Question on tax. Looking at a $46,200 Genesis and it will be titled in NJ. I got the lease estimate from one dealer. The selling price will be around 41,400 before rebates ($3750 + $1000) and then other fees like bank fee, doc fee, etc. 3 year lease, 10K per month.
I know it's hard to calculate exact tax, but the lease sheet shows taxes of $1800. I think that's really high. Based on previous leases we've done on similar priced cars in the past, taxes were around $1200.

Am I missing something?
Take the total of pre-tax payments (36 times $XXX), add the rebates, add the bank fee.. multiply total by 7%.

.00010 MF and 55% residual. $3750 lease cash for the V6 model.
Thanks! My dealer said he can't see the $3750 lease cash, how do I give him that info?
Hmmm. Lease cash is a factory to dealer incentive. Dealer can choose to pass it along to the customer.
Apparently, your dealer is choosing to keep it.
Find another dealer.
Yes agree. Dealers in the Atlanta area are not willing to budge anything significant on the MSRP. I wonder how others on the thread get such good discount on the MSRP.
What Are The Numbers For August 2016 RWD 36/12 In Arizona, Thanks
.00010 MF and 55% residual. $3750 lease cash for the V6 model.
Thanks! My dealer said he can't see the $3750 lease cash, how do I give him that info?

I have no problem travelling. I found a dealer in Arizona who had a couple listed for $10k Msrp..but when they send you a quote..they take 3k off MSRP and add-on all sorts of fees etc. . I don't know how that works.

Went into the dealership and this is what they told me. These numbers were from the sales manager.

And, there is the possibility that I'll simply turn my car in and not replace it at the end of the lease. I work from home and there is often a car here (wife and daughter commute together 95% of the time) for those occasions where I need to have one.

I know it's YMMV, but I got $33.5K early trade-in credit on this where my payoff was $32.9K: tough one.

MSRP 42350
with taxes, acquisition total 43910
rebates, credits 4500 (including 1000 competitor offer as I have a BMW lease)
down payment 1000
cap cost reduction 5000, first payment 499
adjusted cap cost - 38910
Residual 23716
Payment 456.51+43.37 taxes = $499.98
I think the deals will get better and they will reduce the selling price and people will do better ...the cars just came in and there were only a handful in a few dealerships in bay area and I needed a car asap. Hope I did not do too bad.
What would the 36 months, 10K per year residual and MF be on a base model and then one with the signature package both AWD? Thanks. Also, it appears they are doing 39 month contracts too......... what would the residual and MF on the 39 month contract be? Thanks!
Is this a brand new car or simply a rebadge of the existing Genesis?

We price our cars more aggressively than anyone out there. Other dealers will often sell their car for more and then have a lower money factor, so you end up paying more in the long run. I understand that you are trying to get teh best deal, but ultimately you are going to buy from the dealer that is going to give you the best Monthly Payment. With the rarity and limited availability of these cars I would love to earn your business.
My payments are the same as what I quoted you previously, which option works better for you?

Which leaves open the possibility that you won't know exactly what you are paying for.
Have you shopped around to see if you can get a lower payment?

I know it's hard to calculate exact tax, but the lease sheet shows taxes of $1800. I think that's really high. Based on previous leases we've done on similar priced cars in the past, taxes were around $1200.
Am I missing something?

We don't receive mid-month updates, very often. If they have changed since the first of the month, we probably wouldn't know.
