I'm from Louisiana and I went as far away as Idaho. That was the first deal I posted on the $60k truck. The transport charges were just too much to make that worthwhile, about $1600. The truck I ended up getting is in Missouri. They are shipping another truck down here in the next few days and I can likely piggy back on that truck for less. The shipping quote I got was only about $675 and more than made the deal worth the trouble.

The best quote I got down in Louisiana for a truck that was $1000 cheaper than the one I am getting was $587/mo for a 39mo/10k lease.

Any chance you can tell me which dealer in Missouri gave you that deal? I'm looking at leasing a Denali or SLT and am starting to seriously shop around an email dealerships. I live in MO so it'd be great to know if there's a dealer in my own backyard that seems to beat everyone else. Thanks!

The dealership I bought from in Missouri was Mayse GMC. They were very helpful and have been a breeze to work with.

Looking at leasing a 2016 GMC Sierra Denali. The MSRP is $52,952 and a purchase price of $48,215. What would the estimated payment be with $2,000 out of pocket on a 36 month and 12k per year milage based on the current residuals and money factors assuming great credit? I am new to this and wonder if this is something where all dealers use the same money factors and residuals?

    .00149 MF and 70% residual (assuming 4WD)

$437/mo.+tax, assuming your $2000 goes to 1st payment, fees and taxes.

Denali is only $53K? I thought they were up around $60K?

Current MF and Residuals for 2016 sierra 1500 denali shortbed 4x4 for Greensburg, Pa 15601 for 3 years 12k per year ?

Getting quoted 549.00 per month with basically 4 k down and then almost another 1k towards first months payment an fees so we'll just say 5k total. Tax is 6% plus he said another 3% usage fee for 9% tax total. MSRP for truck is $58,865.00 but with my supplier pricing it drops down to 54,972.00. Does this seem right? It seems like the payment is high for the money being put down or maybe im wrong? Let me know if you need any further info to clear up the deal. Thanks

    .00149 and 72% for 36/12.

Using your prices, I calculate a payment of $539/mo with tax.

We do not recommend making a down payment on a lease - if the truck is stolen or totaled, you lose that money. Only first payment and bank and government fees should be paid at signing.

Now with your calculations of $539/mo is that with no down payment or is that using my figures of almost 5 K down?

I do not want to put any down and for some reason thought the payments would be alot closer to what they are now with 5 k total. Not sure what the differences are for some of the other people on here getting killer deals with only 2k or less down. I was in the low 600s/mo with roughly 2500 down. I must be missing a bigger piece of the puzzle here? Any insight?

My calculations were using the prices supplied. Every $1000 down would reduce the pre-tax payment about $28/mo.

Confirm the adjusted capitalized cost with the dealer - may be some hidden fees in there. Also, dealer can mark up the MF for more profit.

This is my first attempt at leasing. Is there a secret to getting the money factor listed? I have top tier credit and received .00179 and .00191 today at two different dealers. Is their perhaps a GMC dealer in Denver that is better to deal with?

    Thank you.

You get them to provide the adjusted cap cost, then you run the numbers yourself. You politely but firmly explain to the dealers that you won't sign a deal with an inflated MF.

I'm in Denver, but have never shopped GMC. What dealers did you visit?

I negotiated cap cost, not nearly as good a price as others have received. The MF came from Johnson Auto Plaza in Brighton and King GMC in Longmont respectively. I'm wondering what's in it for the Dealer to inflate the MF?

no secret, just tell them straight up, you would like the GMCs' tier 1 credit MF/RV. if it's higher than what's being quoted to you from this site, you ask why and if they still don't, you move on to another dealer that would. I'd generally look for a dealer that would have the MOST inventory. Volume dealers may be more motivated...

Money factor is higher, too, which is a negative.

Then, you have to factor in rebates and discounts. If you can get the same percentage off of the Denali, then it's probably going to be cheaper.

Hello again. Please check my numbers here to see if i'm in the ball park of calculating myself correctly.

2016 Denali 1500 4x4 Crew Cab Short Bed
Greensburg, Pa 15601 and you said 0.00149 and 72% I believe in my other post
lease will be 3 years/36k miles

    MSRP - 59920
Adj Cap - 56206 simply my supplier pricing discount. No rebates or incentives that I know of other than 1k consumer purchase cash that im not sure I get on a lease deal?
6% sales tax plus 3% usage tax for a total 9% tax on lease

Im coming up with around 555/mo base no money down with tax/interest included. Id still obviously have first months payment an fees extra but im just curious if my calculations are correct. Dealer is trying to give me same payment but with roughly 4k down and then fees. Leads me to believe they are holding on me somewhere or hiding money. Are my calculations correct/close?

    Thank you!

I get $557/mo with tax using your prices, so pretty close.

Ask the dealer what the $4K at signing covers - some of it are the necessary up front costs of first payment, acquisition fee, DMV costs and the like.

The rest may be cap reduction to account for a possible markup of the MF.

Thank you for your response! I just got off the phone with my dealer an found out where he was gouging me when I laid all the numbers out. He was quoting me my numbers with a money factor inflated 2 points to basically 5.5% instead of the 3.5% that it roughly is, now mind you we never ran any credit checks yet so he just did this on his own! When I called him out on it he tried the usual line of "well you must be informed wrong, the number is 5.5% not 3.5%. They eventually ended up admitting that there was 2 points worth of room there but that was there "only place to make money" and I would not get it at "cost". Looks like its time to try another dealer. Thanks for all the help guys!

Another question. Is it not common to get the base MF on these lease deals? The way he talked you'd of thought I was out of my mind for expecting 3.5% and he said there was no way I was getting that.

It's important to remember that dealers are in the business of making money. With leases, there are two ways for them to accomplish this:

    1) Mark up the MF
    2) Not provide as much of a discount from sticker

You, of course, want the base MF and a healthy discount. But, you can't fault the dealer for holding firm on one or the other.

You are correct to keep shopping. It only takes one dealer to meet your numbers.

    .00149 MF and 70% residual

Would need to know MSRP and CAP cost to calculate a payment.

$432/mo.+tax, assuming selling price is the CAP cost.

Subtract 2% from 36/15 residual for 39/15. MF is .00149.

You mind my asking which dealership? Smail? I'm in the market as well and live in North Huntingdon. Smail tried to mark up the MF on another vehicle I leased from them, to no avail. You should shoot for invoice price on the cap cost, period. I won't pay a dime over invoice, and I didn't on my other vehicle from them. Let me know. Thanks.

.00085 MF and 61% residual. $250 lease cash

To calculate a payment, we need the MSRP and selling price and/or adjusted CAP cost.

The payment will can vary greatly, based upon the selling price you negotiate.
