For what it's worth, my local dealership here in Pittsburgh emailed me some May figures for the 2016 Denali: "the residual went from 73% last month to 71% and the rate changed to 4.68 for 10K/36 mo."

I'm eagerly awaiting verification from you guys for the May numbers. And when you do, can you please also let me know the 2016 SLT 1500 crewcab short bed 4x4 numbers for the same 10K/36mo?

Also, do you know if the extra money incentives offered with the GM supplier program is allowed to be used on leases? I'm showing an extra $3500 to $4500 extra off the supplier price for the SLT, but it could be for purchases only...Thanks!

Don't know.. but, they all have "purchase" next to them. That would make me guess that you can't.

My mistake...MF is actually .00155...3.72% for the Denali, 10K, 36 Mo. I just rechecked my email.

And for the 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4x4 crew cab SLT 4x4, same lease period/miles, numbers quoted were:
36 month / 10,000 miles a year
$250 lease cash
62% residual
0.00085 money factor (2.04%)

What state and tax rate is this?

Confirm the cap cost number - does that include all the fees that you're aren't paying for up front?

State is FL so tax on the payment is 6.5%.
The only fee is tag transfer which is $250.
Originally they said $973 down which included the acquisition fee but I stated I wanted to make first moth payment only so he said he would eat it.

$483 plus 6.5% tax is about $514/mo.

The pre-tax difference in our calculations works out to about $1900 in the cap cost.

We don't have the May numbers, but using your numbers, I get $576/mo.+tax with that CAP cost... so, not far off.

The dealer can't change the residual, but this is May, not April, so they may have changed.

I just got this quote from a local dealer here in Wisconsin. Seems like a rip off compare to some of the numbers am seeing here. I think at that point I might as well purchase the truck at $48500.

Yikes, $699/mo does seem like a high payment.

Unfortunately, we don't have any of the lease numbers for GMC this month, so we can't tell you if the dealer is marking up the MF or not.

Yikes, $699/mo does seem like a high payment. Unfortunately, we don't have any of the lease numbers for GMC this month, so we can't tell you if the dealer is marking up the MF or not.

Thanks. I'll keep trying to get a better quote. Also they would not tell me what the money factor was even though I asked. Because with the numbers I provided you guys with I came out with a payment in the $500s not sure where they're getting $699 from.

You mind my asking which dealership? Smail? I'm in the market as well and live in North Huntingdon. Smail tried to mark up the MF on another vehicle I leased from them, to no avail. You should shoot for invoice price on the cap cost, period. I won't pay a dime over invoice, and I didn't on my other vehicle from them. Let me know. Thanks.

Your are correct about it being that dealership. Needless to say I ended up going with another dealership about 2 hours away that gave me everything I asked for. Base MF rate and supplier pricing (obviously left some money on the table there vs invoice, lesson learned for next time). Plus matched the trade without even seeing it, which ended up cutting me a nice check to put in the bank. Ended up using A. CRIVELLI GMC up in Franklin/Reno Pa. They made it so easy it wasn't even funny! Ended up with a Stone Blue Denali with black 22s. These guys were right about shopping around as I almost just scrapped the idea and kept my original truck.

I've been a long-time reader, and thought since May numbers weren't released that I'd contribute what I've learned. I am in Indiana and am negotiating now for a 2016 Sierra Denali. The one I'm looking at has the 6.2L engine in it. Here's the current offer I have on the table -- I'm still trying to work the cap cost down a little further:

MSRP: $59,910
Cap Cost: $53,810
Term: 36 months
Mileage: 15K/year
Residual: 66%
Money Factor: .00125
Pre-Tax Payment: $513.06
After-7%-Tax Payment: $548.97
Due at signing: $513.06 + $35 (tax on $500 incentive)

I still am surprised to be looking at a Denali - I really just wanted a lower-end Crew Cab Sierra, but even on a truck that stickers at around $48K (SLE with Value package), the payment was $30-40 higher because the residual percentage was only 58%. It's crazy, but I won't complain about the extra bells and whistles for less money!

No information of that sort. Good deals are available at several times during the year.
