Could it have been a rental? I see them quite frequently around Denver.
Maybe, but I'm thinking it was a local. Three passengers and they looked a bit college-ish. The university is on the right in this snap and they turned left into the student housing/shopping kind of area.
By the plate frame, I doubt it is a rental. Maybe an ex-rental, although I am sure someone bought one (actually, there was one in my old workplace parking garage).
Speaking of that garage, saw a new unplated A5 cabrio there today.
The other factor is that we don't have scheduled air service here. We do have a couple of busy rental agencies, but I think the inventory is less than someplace of a similar size with some flights coming in. The airport rentals around here probably have Texas plates (although the rental I got last month had Colorado plates on it).
A study in silver. Sighted yesterday - Cadillac ELR. Silver. Sales failure aside, this is a good looking car. I'm sure it would be better in another color. Second sighting - New Prius. Silver. First one I've seen. Ugh. Lee. And I'm afraid to think that silver is probably one of the better colors for it. Avoid airport taxis, if possible soon.
New Elantra at the Hyundai store, a mini Sonata. A GLA, my favorite and multiple CLA's which are doing well down here in South Florida. Live very close to our local MB store and see a lot out on test drives. South Florida, like California I suspect, is a very car conscious area and with dismal public transport, owning a vehicle is almost mandatory. And with the great economy and car sales at all time highs, lots of new iron on our roads!

It's interesting - I'm in SoCal but work a lot in the Bay Area. In Southern Cal we see a lot of everything, except perhaps US-nameplate sedans. In the Bay Area, a disproportionately large number of Teslas, Prii, Leafs, the new BMW electric, etc. Kind of interesting.
San Francisco is a small city---kind of a toy city a rich man might buy his kid for Christmas. So an electric car makes more sense here. In L.A., people drive 100 miles for a good taco.

Agreed, but the Bay Area is the entire peninsula down to Silicon Valley, plus the east bay. My sightings pertain to the entire area from SFO down to San Jose.
That's more wide open than a large metropolis, that's true, but still pretty dense. SFO to San Jose is only 35 miles. Even a Nissan Leaf can do that round trip. I don't know about southern Cal, but in the South Bay / East Bay corridor I do see a lot of charging stations in shopping centers. It's very "groovy/greenie" up here.
There was a silver ELR at the New England Auto Show. No information near it, no kiosk, plaques, nothing. Just the ELR plugged in to a facsimile charging station. Have they killed it? I thought they skipped the 2015 model to bring out an improved '16, at a lower price. But, with yesterday's Volt mechanicals. Still gonna be a tough sell at $65k, if it is still with us.

New ML350 with I think factory installed runningboard lights? Nice looking SUV but those lights are super-tacky. They look like something from Home Depot.
Ok, so we have 3 confirmed sales of the 500L now. More than I thought...
Oh, just kidding. Sales figures for January 2016 show 389 sold in the U.S., and 18 in Canada.
With all the different vehicles Fiat sells, you'd think they'd have something better to bring over than the 500L. 389 sold in the US in Jan.? Why bother?
at the shop rite, a new Pilot parked next to a new Edge. Liked them both. Very sharp looking. Really like what they did to the Edge. Should have sat in one at the car show!
You should probably sit in that Edge. Seems to be more than a little bitching about Ford moving to short seat bottoms, so you'd definitely want to check that out on it.
yeah, I consider a short seat bottom a deal breaker. So would certainly have to sit in one. Though we are not in the market for anything like an edge even with the next purchase, so it was really just "sightseeing"
Just in conversation with the better half, seems like she's not thinking long term for her A3 as she did with her Mazda, she even mentioned the four year mark meaning that's when she thinks it might be time for something either Korean or Japanese. Quite understandable as she's not as happy as I am with our vehicles, that old appliance thinking creeping back in I suspect. Cars just don't mean that much to her, and never had. I, on the other hand, tried to convince her otherwise, that we need to take a more real time view at that time. If things are fine, why rock the boat. But she brought up the cost of repairs, etc., things I hadn't thought about since things are all good right now. Again I said, let's wait till that time comes and see where we're at, then go from there. Just want to enjoy these first couple years of ownership, before the need for new tires and such.

Not new but odd. We live in a neighborhood that you access by a long, dead-end paved road up against the Organ Mountains. You can't go over the mountains even on foot, because it's fenced and guarded by the folks at White Sands Missile Range. Most all the side roads are gravel.
So last night coming home we got behind a semi-sized car carrier with six newer used SUVs and sedans on it. I was tempted to follow it but he was doing 30 in a 45 and so I passed him. If he's a neighborhood curbstoner, he's sure got the rig for it.
Bit surpised that I counted/spotted (8) different new Prius's this weekend. Gotta say in some colors the styling is not as offensive as I would have thought. From a side view, the nose and hood have a similar profile to a Mazda RX-8 and the tail certainly won't be mistaken for anything else...
My neighbor got a new MB GLE, I believe it replaced a current gen Explorer. Another neighbor got a new Mitsubushi Outlander (with "100 new improvements") which looks to have replaced a GM C Terrain. It definitely is an improvement in styling , those Terrains are the fugliest new vehicle on the road IMO, especially in base trim which he had...
Also spotted a ton of new Tacomas, including one that was wearing tires you would see on a jacked up F-250.
Lastly, the wife and I visited an Audi dealer this weekend to take a look around. We are really interested in the Q3 which is just the right size for her and the reviews say it's one of the most fun to drive vehicles in the class (GLA/X1/NX) but at 41g for a modestly loaded model, I think we'll just look at the X1 for the same coin.

On the road today - new Civic, GLE coupe (probably the same car I saw the other day), GLC, 2x Murano - one a rental.

I thought that was the Huracan? $400k+ for the Aventador, $250k+ for the Huracan?

At first I figured he'd gotten off the Interstate and the GPS steered him wrong, but when he made the turn into our area, I assumed he wasn't lost.
