Sat in the new 2017 E again, man that nav screen is big.

When I hear the car name "E", I immediately think Jaguar XKE. Must be an age thing B)

Spotted (2) new F-Pace Jags and a new Ridgeline yesterday.

A couple of employees from our Detroilet office came in this week, both of them driving new Chevy Cruze rentals. Decent looking car, looks very similar to a Kia Forte.

Speaking of Kia, spotted (2) new Sportage SUV's as well. The nose is, um... Special...

The more patient you are, the cheaper they are going to get. I'll expect to see QP's in the same pit as BMW 7-series eventually. Potentially, cars like this can depreciate to....well....zero...(meaning scrap value)...if they have any needs at all.

Saw a Model X in Kent WA today, probably not a common sight there yet.
  • fushigifushigi Member Posts: 1,459
Saw my first F-Pace in the wild the other day. Smaller than I thought it would be. And as someone who wants some U in their CUV, it appeared the cargo door was somewhat narrow. I like the look but don't think I'd spring for one even if it was in my price range.

I think it's an X3 or Q5 competitor. Looks really good, if you are into the CUV thing.

I doubt the cargo door on most of those will see more than a couple bags of $10/loaf bread from Whole Foods.
  • Mr_ShiftrightMr_Shiftright Member Posts: 64,481
Or a large bag of organic kale chips. Need help out with that?

Oh, is the bread on sale at Whole Foods? ;)

On the way to work today, a shiny, new, black Porsche 911 Turbo Convertible. Ohhhh, pretty.

Saw a Model X with dealer plates, and have noticed a few new Cruze lately, I think all rentals.

Two car carriers full of Teslas on the freeway yesterday. One in the morning on the way to the office. Another in the afternoon on the way back. Looks like the X is at full production now.

All destined for Bellevue, no doubt.
  • laurasdadalaurasdada Member Posts: 5,196
I was behind a car carrier full of Teslas last night, probably heading to the store in my 'hood. It couldn't hold a lane, bobbing and weaving between the two (of four total) right lanes. Needless to say, I got in the far left, turned the volume knob to 11 and passed the drunken sailor. I wonder if the car carrier was using one of the Tesla's Autopilot features?!

The X is not an attractive automobile. YMMV.

Black Model X in the workplace parking garage this afternoon - odd color for an egg.

Not the newest, but a pearl white S550 coupe, they are still an elegant eye-catcher.

driving around, a new Cruz. Looks nice in person. was a dark red, which was also attractive.

Saw a new Volt and maybe the second Caddy XT6 I have seen on the road. Maybe unfortunately, it had livery plates. Not new but unusual, also saw an Equus and K900, which I suppose are XT6 competitors.

Looks like there's no getting away from the 'iPad glued to the dash' look. Wonder how it handles all the reflections...

That's very nice. Though I still need to be convinced that mid-brown goes with black.

Could be the XTS, lots of those in livery service. The XT5 will be out soon, I guess.

Haven't driven the new Volt but plan to. From what I've read so far, the engine is much improved, the ride is quite comfy and the handling is good as long as you don't get silly about it.

Right you are, I didn't click on '2017' on Caddy's shopping list of models, but they're in stock near me. Haven't seen one yet..
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,462
Oops CT6, that's it. Still can't believe the base engine is a 4.

I like the brown/black in the Volt pic. Would like to test one too.

Saw my first Nissan Leaf ever this morning.

Cars & Coffee on Sat. Lexus showcased the new LC500.

    Stunning in person.

What's that MSRP? A bit north of $100K?
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,462
100K with 250K worth of styling. At least it's a coupe and not yet another attempted competitor to the SL. I'm not sure what the LC competes with, 6er maybe.

2016 Buick Cascada, Premium in Flip Chip Silver Metallic. Realtor friend of ours traded her miled-up Infiniti for it and put it on a lease so she could write it off. She loves it but lives out our way on the gravel and has been careful driving back and forth since it has Band-Aid tires on it. (P245/40R20 tires).

    MSRP is $37,385 on these.

You're a minivan man Stever, have you seen a new Pacifica yet? I see all kinds of ads for them, but haven't actually noticed one on the road.
  • fintailfintail Member Posts: 58,462
    Saw a grille-less Model S today
  • berriberri Member Posts: 10,165

No, and I really want to go see one, if just to satisfy my curiosity.

We still intend to downside. One of these years....

I wonder if I've seen Pacificas that I didn't realize were new--I mistook them for another model.

Hm, there's 12 in stock at one of our local dealers. Already seeing a $1,500 incentive.

Could be I've seen one or two too without realizing what they were.

The only reason I identified the first one I saw, a white one, was because I watch the line of cars going through the drive-thru at our ChickFilA. It looked a little smaller and better than the Sienna and Odyssey.

Otherwise if I'd met it on a road at 35 mph, I wouldn't have ID'd it.

I've only seen the Pacifica in Jim Gaffigan commercials.

Well you guys aren't Chrysler dealers...if it wasn't for the Pacifica, they'd have to pay the rent selling 200s and 300s. Grim.....
  • stickguystickguy Member Posts: 53,439
I parked next to one today. Very distinctive. You won't mistake it for another minivan.

Also saw a new Boxster. Sharp looking.
