I saw a Cruze hatch today too at the Chevy dealer. Red, RS. not bad looking (didn't sit inside). but stickered over 29K. ouch.

though not as bad as the Tucson at the Hyundai dealer that was over 35 large.

    cars got awful expensive.

Hi there Marco. Welcome to the board! Are you a Chronic Car Buyer? What's in your stable now? When is the last time you punched your CCBA card (bought or leased a new or used car)?

some random thoughts from wandering through the dealers waiting to get my car serviced (that was a good deal. $41 including tax, for oil change, rotation, multi point inspection, fluid top ups, and a wash).

Nissan, nothing there interested me. did not care for the interiors.

Toyota, did not bother going in.

Chevy, saw the aforementioned Cruze. Not a bad looking package, will take a look at one when the time comes

Acura, I really like the ILX. with Premium, has a lot of good equipment (pretty much everything I want) and nice interior. very comfy seats. Will get a long look if I want a compact sedan and not on a cheapskate budget!

BMW, saw a nice white over terra cotta 228i. Nice interior, great seats. Would not mind one, though pretty useless back seat. Not cheap though, so a CPO would be way to go.

Honda, I do like the civic. surprisingly roomy. Nice interior. No sticks to look at of course, but I suspect that would be fine in the interior). Only concern, I don't think I would be happy with the manual drivers seat. Just can't get any tilt on it. Really need the power seat, but that means no stick. So, we shall see once it comes time to drive.

Now the CRV, liked that seat. Sucker tilted so far back I was practically staring at the ceiling. Can't wait to see the new design.

also loved the Accord coupe. that had really nice seats too. plenty roomy. could be fun with the stick. If I was buying now, would be high on the list. Good cost/benefit ratio!

really want to see the new model CRV. Floated the idea to the wife about upgrading from the RDX to one of those, and making that the primary car. Had to assure her of course that it would still be hers! Might have to work on that plan. Though she did put 2 and 2 together, to figure out that next year there might be a new RDX out too. That won't be in any budget though that I can imagine.

well, the Honda keeps adding HP. so isn't going to be slow.

and at this point, the RDX is getting to be so antiquated it might be in the Smithsonian soon, next to the Delmont tube B&W TVs. My Sonata is some much better with infotainment stuff, and safety gear.

My theory is that he wants to give Rob Siegel some competition.

For those who don't read Roundel, Rob is one of the best writers they have on staff, but he's a hoarder -- he has something like a dozen different BMWs stored all over the place in the Boston area. That said, I take a lot of pleasure from reading his articles in Roundel and weekly in the online posting.

I agree it has to be an i3. Maybe a 320i (or whatever the cheapest ICE car is to lease), less the employee discount, but I don't see that as roadburner's preferred flavor of BMW.

Rob is a genuinely nice guy. I've told Rob that I often use him as a defense- when my wife questions how many cars we have I always say, "But I'm still not as bad as Rob." And he does keep his cars in good shape.

What is "two-stage unlocking"? If that only means that you have to press the fob twice, I'm gonna start laughing.

i owned a 2012 EX35 for a couple of years..but mine had more options than this one does. by default, the fob is programmed for when you are within a specific proximity from the vehicle, it can automatically unlock for you. or at least the way the dealer programmed mine it worked like that.

or press unlock on fob once opens driver side door only, press twice to unlock whole car.

it's been a good couple of years but that's the only things i could imagine it even being

i enjoyed the car for what it is worth. i only traded it in when i had the opportunity to lease a RX and save $100/mo on payments and get a larger car with more/newer tech at that.

That blue new Honda Civic EX-L hatch sold within a few days was told, very nice vehicle. Sat in the new Elantra the other day and was quite impressed, think my oldest will be purchasing one of these within a year or two since this is what she originally wanted back in 2009. A mini-Sonata in every sense of the word and suspect Hyundai will sell a boat load of these.
Talked with the better half again and she's on board with me getting the extended warranty but only through 90K miles. She says that once I get close to those miles, I'm going to want to swap out into something else...and she's probably right. As much as I do want to get a MB, either the CLA or GLA, really isn't logical to do it, best just to keep the Golf. Still driving great with nothing to speak of except getting new blades up front. Figure by the end of 2017 when I hope to retire, again, it'll have around 40K on the clock. So just best to keep it as the second vehicle. Figure the wife will have something different by then if the A3 starts to have any issues. As long as it stays as flawless as it is now, she'll keep it. And that works for me!

@sandman_6472 Nice Golf you have. I have alwas also liked them since I was an kid. Rode in an frends while back pryer jen tho. Had the D S G trans. Love how it sort of mimicks an manuall trans when starting off. Like the way the D S G behaves a lot mor than an C V T trans. My mom has the 2016 Maxima. and my younger brother baught an used 2013 Altima back in May. Sister has an leesed Sentria. Does not like it. Will try to bring it back early next September To get sumthing elce To slow and with that C V T sounds Harabal. Like it will blow up and fall apart lol.

From reading my posts, everyone knows how much I love my Golf though mine has the regular auto tranny. It just does everything right and the great mpg's is just the icing on the cake! For me to even consider an extended warranty means I want to keep the vehicle for awhile.
Doc changed my meds almost 2 weeks ago and it's been a rough ride. I don't do well with most pain meds to begin with and was pretty sick for a few days until we got things in the right dose. My kid was able to use her knowledge as a newly graduated pharmacist and recommended an action plan that was the exact one that my pain doc came up with. Seems to be working as the last couple of days have left me more awake and my tummy has been able to eat regular meals.

Welcome Marco! I'm from the Midwest region. I drive a 2011 Kia Soul with a 5-speed stick. I just passed 74,000 miles on it so won't be needing another car for a while yet, but, if I did, I really like the looks of Kia's new Rio hatch for the 2018 model year. I would select a small size 4-cyl gas engine with the 5-speed transmission to move the little baby around.

Is that Ford T-Bird yours by your nickname there? Nice car! Of the American cars I usually prefer Ford.

Something else for QB. a little pricey (maybe a lot?) for a 2011, but miles are low. I like this. And fully well admit that I completely lost track of which GM model they were cloning at the time. I know the 9-7 was a trailblazer. what the heck, can't be much of a market for these. lowball, and see what happens.
