I saw a bug in my garden tonight about that color.

    Looked better than the car.

Tell us us what you were doing at the Honda dealer? Was one of the MINIs in for service?

(that Honda dealer is between the MINI dealer and the BMW dealer from the same ownership group)

With the truck, I can just trailer around the Dodge and never actually finish it. ;b

Thanks for asking, @sda. It is a steady work in progress. Intake, carb, electric fan, auxiliary gauges all complete and functioning. The AC is all in place; however, I am still experiencing overheating problems, so I have not charged the AC nor put the belt on yet. I do not possess a timing light, so one is on its way to my house so I can make sure that is set correctly (can cause excess heat when it is not). I have also ordered an all aluminum 3-row radiator and new water pump and hoses. All should be here this week.

My son had a baseball game not far from the dealerships, and since I drop him off an hour early for warmup, figured I'd check out the new Si.

Would love to see some pictures (if you document these things).  You are correct about the timing.  When I had my 79 Continental, it overheated for seemingly no apparent reason and adjusting the timing back to spec stopped it.

Is that the one across from the Infiniti dealer and Alfa/Fiat/Maserati dealer?

That color is a bit much for me. I think the new Civic is overstyled but it doesn't bother me as much as some. Personally if they had stopped the red lens of the tail lights from going up and over so far I could probably like it.

I almost bought a Challenger R/T in that color. For some reason my wife has noticed the new Civic and commented that she really likes them. That should make it easier to raise the possibility of getting a Civic Type R. Right now I'm waiting for a full road test; if it can't run the quarter in under 13.5 seconds and hit 100 in 11 seconds or so I'm really not interested.

    Yup - same green.

I'm not saying it'd be a smart move, but if I happen upon a Type R as sticker, I could see myself getting one just for the experience. Probably would hold its value pretty well too.

Even Schomp has a $10k ADM on their Type R (on-line, I don't think it's in yet). Mile High Honda has one at MSRP on the website, though I suspect that may just be to get someone in the door.

    Whoa, whoa, whoa.

@jpp5862 and I were looking at your next car last Saturday - the MX-5 RF. We both believe you'll pick up a year old one before the end of the calendar year....

The Type-R will be unobtainable for anything approaching MSRP for a while - gotta clear out the pent up fanboi backlog first.

So, the Miata this fall, then a gently used Type-R in 2018.

See, we can help you out.

On one hand, I feel a bit guilty because I have almost no need of the utility of such a vehicle. But, it is at a point where it kind of does not matter because it is no more wasteful than my relatively dainty Infiniti. It is technically MORE efficient and, to boot, does not require premium. So I moved up to a full-size truck and it will cost me less to move it down the road! And of course I am gaining a tremendous amount of interior space and comfort. Perception may be that it is wasteful but reality is quite different. Think I could fit all that on a bumper sticker? Haha.

I would be curious to hear if your real-world gas mileage figures are indeed similar to what the Infinity delivered.

It seems that their was a brief Infinity affiliation in the CCBA forum, but that didn't last, as not many trends can in here. Still, it seems the love for Infinity was more of a fling than true love

The daughter wants a QX50 (not 30, as I previously assumed). She particularly wants the feature with the 360 degree camera.

But, she's gonna wait for the MINI to be paid off - three more years.

Heck, I'm likely to get a replacement car for the Jetta before then.

I'm kinda digging this (though they'd have to come off that price by a few grand):

My wife is going out of town this weekend and I don't have the kids.  A lot of time on my hands - @Jpp5862 and @michaell, I may need an intervention.

I hate that I can't figure out BMWs anymore. Is that a base model with all the packages tacked on or did it start as a MOdern, Sport, M Sport, or what?

If a base, $25k is about the moon on it. They do push $22k for automatic versions at CA auctions, but as low as $18k in other regions. I'm sure options is part of that difference, too.
