I think I'm guilty of blinking, and missing an @breld punch. What's this V60 Polestar in your ownership list, and is it the wagon or sedan? I see Volvo is finally getting serious about performance by putting non-skinny 245 tires on it, (they used to put skinny tires even on Polestar trims). 3,900 lbs must be a load though (sedan slightly less than that, the wagon slightly more).

The old S60r/V70r could be had with 235/40/18 tires. Not great, but not bad considering my G35x and even my Mustang GT (!!) came with 215s

I had my second colonoscopy a week or so ago, and it was a piece of cake. The prep was only a quart and a half twice (night before, morning of) and the medication I got prior to the procedure worked well. The whole thing was much less of an ordeal than the first one was 10 or 12 years ago.
Just had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy a month ago. The preparation is definitely much less of an ordeal than it was ten years ago.

What year Mustang GT did you have with 215s? Mine would have come standard with 235s, but had 19" wheel option with 245s from the factory, and I installed 255s when I replaced them.

This. The two best, IMHO, are the MiraLax prep or the Osmoprep. MiraLax is just powder that has no taste mixed in with Gatorade. The Osmoprep is just pills - horsepills - but pills.

I get to do it in 2 weeks. Honestly don't remember what I bought to take, or if any different than 5 years ago. But back then, it was no big deal. Only hassle was having to get up at something like 3 AM to take the last dose!
then again, I used to find Barium shakes kinda tasty, so might not want to base it on me.

I hate all that stuff. Since my battle with the big C ten years ago I’ve had to drink that white stuff for the contrast test more times than I can count.
I was looking at the lease deals on S90s and went to Volvo's configurator to build one. Here are the color selections: Black White Silver Grey Black Tan Baby blue Brown
So, five shades of the expected black/grey/white, two shades of brown, and a pale blue color. Pretty lame. I think you can probably get more variety on a Chevy Cobalt.

did not realize that we were having the same experience exactly 10 years ago. Glad that I have not needed a scan for many years. But still better than the alternative.

Only now have I been able to the CT scans every other year. It was yearly before. Didn’t realize you had a bout with it too.
Just made payment 18 on the Elantra. Officially half way through. Just turned 8800 miles on the way home from the Phillies game.
Im thinking mid summer next year is when the shopping will begin. I’d really like to scour Swap a lease and find a deal with under two years left. I’m also thinking I’ll be going up a size to a Sonata or Camry.
that half way point is huge. Nice thing about a lease! Since I bought the Elantra, I got a 5 year loan (no intention of paying that long though) so a long time before the 1/2, and when you get to the end you don't give it back.
The Jetta now has only 2 payments left. About 28K on that one now I think. In serious discussions with the daughter about what to do about that. She is more than happy to take over the Elantra. I just have to figure out all the details to see what makes the most sense. If we don't renew with VW I have to pay the turn in fee, and not sure if I have to pay much to transfer the Hyundai into her name. I got time to figure it all out. And we have plans to do another round of test drives.
if I do sell it, I have to eventually replace it, so back to the dilemma of deciding what to get. new or used, cheap or nice, buy or lease!
On the 2019 Jetta, if anyone cares, they released pricing on it yesterday. Starts at right around $19-20k, about $23k for an SE and $25k for an SEL. There's also a premium model for a couple grand more. And the obligatory VW R-line model for about $800 over the SE.
A nice suite of safety tech is standard across the board, other than on the base S model (to which it can be added). SE comes with a pano sunroof. SEL comes with the virtual cockpit and a newly available "Beats" stereo.
I think it's a 90% chance we'll replace my stepdaughter's Jetta with this new Jetta. Coming out of the VW lease, I assume it'll be easiest and most cost-efficient to stick with the brand, and she likes the Jetta. No real reason to search too hard for other options.

We got the Polestar last November to replace my wife’s MB GLC. It showed up locally - a 2016 with low miles and what we considered a fair price.
I haven’t driven one of the newer ones with the 4 cylinder, but I can’t imagine liking it more than the exhaust note in the inline 6.
....if I do sell it, I have to eventually replace it, so back to the dilemma of deciding what to get. new or used, cheap or nice, buy or lease!
Well, those are some wide parameters. In terms of the vehicle itself do you have any thoughts of what you might want? And how much do you like your Elantra Sport so far?
Also I think my dad possibly would be looking for a new ride we do wrong this year too and getting rid of his current Sinatra think it has Fulsher 200,000 miles on it still running good drives a lot back-and-forth to the Bronx in to Long Island to see his girlfriend in New Jersey every weekend

Yes, narrowing it down is always my problem. I actually like the he Elantra a lot. Would not mind a bit more luxury to go with the performance aspects, but that costs $. The spirt is a great value. The one thing I don’t like is not having the power seat out of the GT. with that it would be almost perfect.
I like the size and the zoom, and having responsive handling. Thinking an S60, on a killer lease deal, might be a good upgrade. Just as fast, similar dimensions, way nicer seats and fancier stereo.

I think white and non metallic black are the only Volvo colors that aren't an extra cost option.

Not Polestar, but could be interesting... are there substantial cons to a 3-year old ride (almost 4 actually) with such low mileage?

I would think the S60r would compete more with the G35 or 37 Sport "S" model, which probably had wider tires than the X model/trim.
Also, isn't the Volvo more expensive than either of those other options?

Not sure what expense has to do with it. I would think intentions are more important. Certainly we can agree the stock tires on my Stang were simply ridiculous.

T6 R-Design is sort of a Polestar-lite; looks like a pretty nice car. Polestar tune will bump it to 325hp and 355 lb/ft of torque. Which is nice...
According to all the specs I have seen, 325/355 was stock trim for that turbo-6. Found a Polestar review showing 345 and 369 for that tune. Either way, plenty of horses to get in plenty of trouble.
Most of the T5s I've seen advertised are the Premier trim, rather than Platinum, unfortunately. Still, making me trigger-happy, but I'm still holding out to get the Jetta paid off before replacing the V70.
Now I see where my confusion is coming from. The T6 R-Design came with the Polestar tune already installed, which is where the 325/355 comes from. The actual V60 Polestar model has the increased 345/369 output. I don't think you can get a further tune for the R-Design to the higher numbers. Still, it's plenty of motor, and I like the passing power a lot. The transmission is a little lazy, but putting it in sport mode mostly cures that.
Platinums are hard to find. I had to look past a lot of Premiers to find mine.
Punch to report. Gonna get beat-up over this one. Attention bullies, roll up your sleeves and prepare to beat the crud outta me over this one. Keep in mind, it’s a third car, city street cruiser/appliance, and (gulp) please be gentle.
Q50 leases are getting awfully cheap in the NJ/CT area. Looks like we are in the mid 200s with first month, DMV, and MSDs at signing for a 3.0T Q50. A lot of car for the money. Even less if you qualify for Infiniti VPP.

Mrs. Carnaught wanted this. The new appliance car that will be a grocery-getter is......(bending over witharms overhead, grimacing)......an ‘18 Prius IV, hypersonic red.
For what it is, it’s actually a hoot to drive, plus I won’t mind getting up to 54 mpg. If we ending up using it more than the Lincoln MKC, that could go?? Couple of pics. ahead.
Congrats! I haven’t ever driven one so I’d be interested in your impressions. I don’t even know what makes it a IV as opposed to any other number. Nice interior, more than one usually expects from a Toyota.
@carnaught, I think for a grocery getter for the wife, the Prius is a great choice. No need to be ashamed. Lots of technology in that car, and the red looks great.
