Not quite as vintage as a Prelude, but an S2000 with 13k miles? Given it’s a 2004 with those few miles, I think it’s actually not crazily priced. This was shared with me from a high school friend who works at the dealership.
Ya'll feel free to Monday Morning Quarterback and tell me how I did: 2012 Infiniti G37, 71k, Bose, sunroof, parking sensors, no nav, clean CarFax White with ivory interior Clean condition but it's obvious they didn't detail it when they took it in - jack was laying loose in the trunk along with a set of Duralast brake pads still in the box, no Armor All on the tires, etc. Has some chips and scratches which have been touched up. Headlights need to be buffed. None of those are deal breakers. Decent looking tires (I think they're Yokohamas). It'll look great after a detail.
Asking price was $12,987 plus TTL. TMV $12,736. They came down to $12,786 (plus $489 doc fee :@ ) and said that was all they could do. I took it. They do include three oil changes and one tire rotation within the first 12 months, so that's something. That does mean a 100 mile roundtrip, but it's also an excuse to tour some of the wineries and distilleries in the Frankfort / Versailles area when I'm using them. 60 month financing at 5%, effective rate 5.48% after the bank's $165 prepaid finance charge--supposedly the rate was slightly higher because of its age. I think I did okay.
That's a very old symbol of the city of Milano, where Alfa was founded. The red cross comes from the time of the Crusades and the snake is apparently the family emblem of the Viscontis, a noble Milanese family. No one is quite sure what the snake means, but probably something like vanquishing one's enemies. That used to be the Saracens but I guess now it's BMW.
BMW browsing tonight. This one, I love this one. No clue if the price is good or bad, but it is snazzy looking. And yes, I am the one guy that does not mind the styling (and I am a sucker for hatchbacks like this). Seems loaded too, just missing BLIS I think.
The one I drove was a 2013, so they don't come any later than that!
Oh, the 135i has a bad rep? That's good to know. But a 128i still doesn't solve my problem. Those with a manual transmission are also quite rare. I did find one in my area---but it's white (of course).
The later 135i are the good ones. N55 instead of N54. I noticed a bunch of old ladies in Sonoma driving 1-Series convertibles. Don't you want a coupe?
Seriously, that would be a great car for where you live.
with a stick, and coming out of a Mini, seems that the 128 should be plenty powerful and entertaining for you Shifty. save a bunch of money too! and probably fewer issues to worry about.
Date went extremely well, but ended earlier than I would have liked due to scheduling issues, hence, I had time to run to the dealer that had the G37 before they closed.
And yes, it's RWD. Forgot how much power it had and caused the traction control to kick in when I was accelerating to get on the interstate. This is one of the few vehicles I've driven in recent memory where the automatic transmission will let the engine rev fairly high, even at light or moderate throttle application.

No it isn't; it has all three mirrors- and presumably all can be adjusted properly...

You Luddites don't know what you are missing. Even with correctly adjusted mirrors (which I have) it is still a very useful extra warning to have. And no mirrors can duplicate rear cross path detection when you are billboarded by a couple of trucks. It's not like useless features such as cruise control, because you already have that too (your right foot).

Yes, a coupe, definitely. So late 2010 on up, to avoid the dreaded N54.
I think I'm narrowing my choice to a late 2010 on up coupe version of this car, although I wouldn't necessarily reject the convertible if the deal was really good. The Royal We are trying to avoid the N54 engine, which I forgot was produced even up to 2010.

Congratulations on the punch, it looks very nice, and I think you're really going to enjoy owning one. Gives me a strong urge to find one just to see if I'll fit.
But I will say, on the financing, you really really need to join a credit union.
OK! Wiki has misled me I guess. I'd be sure to check under the hood!
Almost every 135i coupe will have the M-Sport package. It's very, very rare to see one without it. Also, HID lighting is standard. Plus, stick-shifts are common with that model.
@Mr_Shiftright I agree with your impressions of the C30 Auto. I'd still keep your eye out for a stick in your area to drive one. I drove the auto first and it was "fine" but once I drove the manual it was a totally different car.
The Touareg is in the shop for a few warranty fixes so I get to drive the C30 for a couple of days.
My wife drove my Q7 a bit last week and a lot over this past weekend, and now she wants something like it.
Don't know if it's this week, this month, or next Spring, or somewhere in between, but it looks like that will be happening at some point.
Likely candidates are the Q5/SQ5, though she's also looked at pretty much every other SUV in that class as well.
Pricing on the Audi e tron quattro will be released in exactly one week, with deposits (refundable) being accepted at that point. Since she had one of the upcoming VW electronic vehicles in mind, that may be an ideal move, depending on pricing of course.
So the other issue is, the Polestar and Golf R may be on their way out depending on the direction she goes. There's been a lot of talk regarding folks eyeing those vehicles - this could turn out to be premature, but figured it may be appropriate to guage any legitimate interest.

attractive diesel 3 series. Love this color. Loaded, just missing sport seats sadly. But steep miles. At least price reflects that.
