I would be better off with the current CPO I think with miles limits.

One good thing about us possibly following my kid and moving to the Orlando area, her garage has no lip so I could get a full size on the right side of the garage with no issue. They have the hot water heater in front of that space but it's tucked into a cozy corner so it doesn't intrude on the garage space. A very good idea which helps make both sides of the garage able to hold two full size vehicles. As much as I like the new Civic, think the ILX would be a better fit for me. Not sure the other half would be real happy if I came home tomorrow with a new vehicle, but sure would be fun. And really, the ILX is the first vehicle in awhile to really peak my interest. Just wonder with the new 2019's already in the showroom, how much they'd be willing to deal on a left over 2018 model? Might start searching just for the hell of it and bet I could make a decent deal the last week of 2018, say on the 31st about 5 pm before the festivities begin. Even though I never take a vehicle home the same day, for the right deal, I'd overlook that and drive it off their lot before the end of 2018 and just come back for any missed prep work. But only for a killer deal!!

The Gran Touring model may be a bit ungainly, but it sure is functional, not only with the hatch, but with loads of rear seat room. Don’t seem to see to many 6 cylinder versions of it.

That's why I've got to find a vehicle that makes me feel the same way the Golf does. Funny, within 5 minutes into my first test drive, I knew that it was gonna be my next new vehicle. I just knew. Took me about a week to finally do something as I went and tried a couple other vehicles. But once the A3 came home, I just knew it was just a matter of time. She got hers on December 2nd I think and decided that by the end of the month, if I still felt the same about it, I'd just swap out of the Tucson and be done with it. Within a week I think, I went back for a test drive and had to have it. And that was a Wednesday. Had my CarMax appraisal in hand and decided to make it happen. And when we were a $1000 dollars off, I showed my salesguy the sheet from CarMax and he finally agreed to match. And the rest is history.

I know when I started driving part time back in 2013, made sure I had access to my iPod as not every rental has Sirius/XM in them. As long as they've got an aux input or a port for my other cord, I'm all set. And if worse comes to worse, there's always FM radio. Luckily, I've got XM in the Golf so the many future trips I will be taking to Orlando will go by quickly. The music really makes the time go quicker and the 2 hour, 15 minute drive just flies by. And with Stick's help, can also set the iPod or my iPhone up to listen. As long as they keep the price of my XM subscription where it is now, I'll stay. If they increase it much, I can always live without it if need be. I know at work, some of the new fleet is coming in without having Sirius/XM already connected. I'd hope they'd be giving the major rental companies a very good deal to have them in so many rentals right now.

Luckily, for my next vehicle, I've raised my cash outlay to $25K plus trade-in. Now if I could get 0% financing, then I'd just put down a fraction and do that. With the Golf, I was at $20K cash but since then, prices have gone up but so has the kind of vehicles I'd now consider seriously. And after next year, doubt I'll be driving all that much and even if we do start to travel more by car, will have both vehicles to use to keep the miles down. So a comfortable seat will be a deciding factor after the overall size of the vehicle. Thinking that 182" is the longest I'd want to go for even though that doesn't include the new Camry. Call me nuts, but I really like the looks of the "LE" version and also the way it drives. I drove a new Avalon the other evening and it felt just very Camrylike to me, though nicer. I was really blown away by how the Avalon drove! Super smooth and couldn't even feel the shift points even though I saw them happen on the tach. Now that's something I could really learn to love...just need to find it in a compact! Really, I've always liked Toyota's and drove only one of their units for many years. They make stellar products, though some are very appliance like, they still get the job of driving done as smooth and uneventful as possible. The lack of drama is very important to me in any vehicle I own. I hate surprises like a dead battery or fluids leaking all over the garage. I need my vehicles to be running all the time and I maintain them so it usually happens. My wife thinks I'm a bit too anal when it comes to maintenance but I'd rather not have any issues. That's why usually by year 3, I swap out the battery just because I don't want to get stuck in the garage like I did a couple years back with the Golf. By the beginning of the new year, I'll be ready to swap out the one replaced under warranty.

Curious to see how the pricing goes. Mileage is really low, color is sought after, but the ‘verts don’t get the big premium.

Interesting to see if a professional photo shoot nets this guy a flip premium.

Good question. Pics aside (and yes, they are nice), the car is worth what someone is willing to pay.
My guess is any upside by adding the nice pics won't be worth what the seller paid to have them taken.
I had a Volvo S90 rental earlier in the year. The controls did take a little longer to learn than usual but once I was familiar it seemed pretty easy to navigate.
I still really liked everything about that car. I’d love to have one, and if I could score a silly lease on one next year I’d be all over it. I know for while there were some killer deals, but those have dried up.
