I like those S90s, but man, that is a whole lotta miles. And some expensive needs.

With those miles and problems, it's really only worth scrap value--maybe $300.

I've seen a lot of Ascents on the road. Subaru has to feel pretty good about getting another nameplate established.

I’m not thrilled about upping our budget, but nothing else seems to be hitting the spot.

We are still heavily considering the Outback, but I’d feel better having the extra space.

What are you packing that the Outback wouldn't be big enough?

We've found that ours can handle pretty much everything we need it to carry.

back when we had 2 younger kids and traveled a lot for family holidays, with all the crap they required (or at least, my wife thought they did) plus the occasional carting around of spare kids, we had plenty of use for the Minivans (went through 3 of them). Nice part of the kids being on their own. Don't need a 3rd row any longer.

Had 3 kids = many minivan years. But while the vehicles were just haulers, a lot of good times traveling in them! Now, though, I’d rather rent a car when the adult kids all show up for a visit.

Only child here... we never had a minivan, either, but I really liked riding in them due to having tons of room. May explain why I have a full size SUV now!

On another note, I drove the G37 to Richmond, KY and back this weekend, and it was a gem.

What year is that RS7? I debate on installing a new head unit in the Tahoe to add Carplay and bluetooth audio streaming. I'd want to keep Onstar and the steering wheel audio controls and would want it to display the backup camera, which is currently in the rearview mirror. I'm sure Crutchfield could tell me what would work. But at 10 years and 127k, I'm not sure how much I should be investing in it.

Frequently is the short answer to visits from in-laws. And we are likely to need the extra hauling space in about 7-8 months...

Well, you may be about to enter the minivan years then! For people and stuff haulers they really are the best.

That all can be done.  There are interfaces for everything to make it fairly easy.   Only thing that may be somewhat challenging would be grabbing the signal from the backup cam since it runs up to the rear view mirror now.  I’m sure with some Google action someone in a GM forum could tell you where the wires are either in the harness that runs down the door sills

We do ok with an Enclave which really does swallow a lot of stuff.  A minivan is definitely better/bigger but this is a close second.

My son is just in a booster now which makes things so much faster/easier to move him to the third row to carry additional passengers

2016 RS7. A guy in China sent me a Mega file that I downloaded onto SD card. Used teamviewer for him to control my computer remotely. Used taobao app to message him and he sent me pics showing what buttons to push. I sent him pics of what was showing on my MMI screen. Cost $148 plus SD card and D-link. I’m selling SD card and DLink on audizine now.

Dont worry - computer was new with no banking or other vital apps.

There are are ways to do it by buying add on box but $500 and need to get behind dash and side of interior transmission tunnel.

There’s a Russian company that offers similar services to BMW owners. I bought a couple of downloads from them but never used them for remote coding. Several folks have, with no issues.

Disregard the lease transfer. Person who agreed to take it didn’t realize they’d need to pay for full coverage insurance.

Luckily had a list of 5 people interested, so on to the next.

Huh? How could they not know that?

Actually I believe all leasing companies require higher liability coverage's than state minimums

was chronically looking to replace '14 A4: really liked the MBC coupe, but back seat too impractical even for infrequent use; and 50-55K For a 4 cylinder; really liked the volvo s60 T6 and genesis G70 3.3 but leary of first year models

went to 2019 Cayenne launch at the local MB/Audi/Porsche dealer and looked at a Macan; breld really liked his; found a 2017 with <11k miles highly optioned; test drove and really liked it although was not looking for SUV, it does not drive like one-- the model I have is the V6

the car was sold while we were test driving--- but sale fell through and we bought it; sold dealer used audi (although got not as much as private, was similar valuation to Carvana and Vroom) so did the deal; first time I have not thoroughly researched, etc but it just felt right...

going to NC in June and hope to do DragonsTail....

We have 3 kids and managed to get it done first with a '85 Olds Cutlass Supreme sedan and then a couple of Camry's. We usually travel light so it all worked out fine. The wife refused to drive a minivan and I just needed a small commuter vehicle during those early years as $ was pretty tight with just me working. After 2003, things got a bit easier due to some "gifts" from dead family members. But, we still both like smaller vehicles with $30K being the top that we'll pay. And keeping them for a longer period of time also helps.
