    @nyccarguy,
I'm sure you won't we one of those parents that waits for the other kid, then pushes him or takes a swing.

You saw a parent punch a 10-yr-old? Man, I don’t want to even know what kind of league your kids play in! ;b

I know someone distantly who was involved with youth hockey coaching and officiating for some time. He recently stopped, stating "hockey parents are the stupidest people I've met" B) - lots of vicarious living going on there, and the increasing expense of the game creates entitlement issues and ego among those who may already have issues with being shouty.

And yeah, these days everything should be on camera.

You do have to learn when to pull your punches. When my son was in Navy boot camp, one of the other recruits punched him in the locker room. Lots of people saw it. My son did not hit back. He graduated with his class and the aggressor did not.

wow. I really thought you just mistyped and meant to say the parent attacked the other kid's PARENT. Attacking a kid is nuts.

Only incident we ever had up until now was when a kid on my son's little league team (his OWN team) smacked him in the face. He was only about 6 or 7 at the time. He didn't retaliate, and the coach made the kid (his own son actually) sit the rest of the game, but my 2-yr-old wanted very badly to go after the coach's son for what he had done to his brother. Coach was apologizing to me because ... well, I'm 6'5", LOL ... but I assured him I understood crazy kids and didn't blame him one bit, but that he had to beware of my 2-yr-old because he is CRAZY. LOL.

I parked next to a Bolt at Sprouts today. Seemed appropriate.

after looking at the X3 today, I really had an urge to trade in the RDX on one. The problem is, 2 more years on the TLX lease.

if something happened to that now (saw it got totaled) I really think I would cash out of the RDX into an X3 or loaded Santa Fe to have the wife covered for the next 7-10 years, and go bottom feeding for myself. maybe another toy. Just need something to be in the garage for when I need to run errands when the wife is at work. But the new car would do all the travelling, and be the one that we take when we go out together.

something like the Integra I had for a while would do. I doubt any car I would get would do more than 1-2K miles a year, so does not really matter what it is. Maybe a PU of some sort. Or a car from my younger days I always wanted (that 1985 Celica calling my name?). But would be fun to look.

or, cruising the lease apps and forums and snagging something like the Ioniq for $215/month for cheap transportation!

For some reason I found the X3 seats uncomfortable on long drives but that was a year or two old model so maybe they are different now. The new 330i seats are terrific. If you want a cheap PU you should consider a Nissan Frontier. Very basic but does everything a truck should do.
I'd much rather have my Tacoma than a Frontier. Or the new Ranger.
For the same price as a Frontier so would I. But for a vehicle that he says might do 2000 miles a year I’d go for basic. Frontier is obsolete compared to the ones you mention but I don’t need NAV and Apple car play to take junk to the dump.

I’m kind of an oddball when it comes to trucks.

I wouldn’t buy a car that was irreparably damaged by doing a few donuts.

    But you’re considering a Kia? ;)
Yep, but a Kia developed with the input of Albert Biermann.

It has been a very busy weekend for me. I worked on Saturday AM, then drove home. On my way home I stopped at the 1st rest area on the Merritt Parkway in CT (doing my best to help Our state’s economy via the gas tax) and filled up. Drove home & picked up my 13 year old who had a game near the CT/RI border. Drove there & back. This AM, my 10 year old had a game about 30 miles away. So far 275 miles on the Tacoma since 1:00 yesterday afternoon. There’s still one more game to go. My 13 year old has a home game (about 5 miles from home.)

    Edited! Thank-you @jmonroe

It’s been a long day. Some kid punched my 10 year old son on the handshake line after the game. My kid hit him back (which is what the officials saw) and I think he’s going to get suspended by the league for 2 games.

Unfortunately, that's what happens. Would be a good time to have replay cameras.

You have a point. The Tundra is the most outdated full size pickup, but I'd also bet it's the most reliable over very long term ownership.

That truyly sucks. A kid tackled my son in a dead ball situation in a soccer game when he was 17; I thought my son was going to unload on him. He didn't, but I know I sure as heck would have when I was his age.

RB....I love the orange color of the GTS. I’ve only seen one...and that was at an auto show.

Good luck tomorrow. Which dealer(s) you going to?

Thanks! It is a 2019 but I suspect that the dealer is going to be obstinate because it’s so “rare.” If they don’t want to deal then they can sit on it for another 148 days.

Which one? The Panthera Metal 2019 is a great color but says "Disclaimer: This vehicle is being sold as a NEW 2019 Kia vehicle. It has never been registered but does have an accident in it's history. The accident happened on our lot in Elizabethtown and was considered minor damage. It was professionally repaired with Kia OEM parts/paint and completed by a master certified Kia technician. Call for more details."

The Ceramic White 2020 looks like an interesting color. More grey than most metallic whites.

My cell phone sound was off, so didn't hear the alarm go off yesterday. Jumped up at 8:03 and saw I was late. Called my boss, threw on some clothes and got there by 8:20. So glad I live close. Apologized over and over as I'm never late, always early. Other folks were cool about it but felt so bad all day. Worked till 6 and we were quite busy, pulling vehicles from the Ft. Lauderdale airport and going to Delray, Boca and all around our house. Was a busy day.
Off today, need the rest, but was already asked to work on Thursday so I'll be working the rest of the week. Hoping they'll ask me back for the Sunday group next week, but we shall see. If yes, I'll make sure I have a back-up alarm just in case. One thing about me, most of the folks at my jobs know I get there at least 15 minutes early no matter what. Just hate to run in, clock in and get on the van. I like a slow morning routine and yesterday was just the opposite!

That's correct. It slots between the GT1 and the GT2. It's considered the "more performance oriented" model. Plus, it's the only one that comes in the orange color. Slick piece!

So the other dealer had responded, but it went to my junk mail, so I just saw it. Credit given for them responding with an actual quote; however, it was $290, which is significantly more than Rodo. I decided, for giggles, to write back to dealer 1 to say "you didn't answer my first question." He replied asking if military or recent grad applied, to which I said no. Nothing from him since.

I've taken a step back from helping friends with car shopping lately, in part because it feels like its been requiring significant effort to negotiate over email. I still have some relationships with MB, Subaru, and BMW such that I can help with those, but beyond that I'm happy to take a backseat and let someone negotiate themselves with the appropriate guidance from me about what is good, great, or terrible.

Helped our kid get her recent 2020 Accent after the wife called for my help. They confused her with all different numbers and buying in one county but registering it in another. Shame as they made tings much harder than they needed to be. Hers was a straight buy now cash offer on a vehicle that isn't super popular. The Chevy store blew it with ridiculous add on fees when I just wanted an out the door price with $5K on her credit card. The sales guy just let us walk but truthfully, the 2019 Sonic was an old feeling vehicle. The newer 2020 Accent felt and looked like a newer vehicle, one that in the limited trim, I'd have no problem owning right now.
Got our newest insurance quote and with my major decrease in driving miles, it went down almost $140, which we'll take. Our agent tried a bunch of other companies, as did I online, and our current provider is still the best option for us. So we're renewing things. But, do like to check every few years just to be sure about things. Was surprised that a few of the folks who are on television so much just couldn't get close to our current quote for the same amount of insurance!

Not sure if I'd be brave enough to pull the trigger on something like that, but it seems to have been well maintained with one owner. I saw it on the 30th, didn't have time to look at it on New Year's Eve, and told myself if it was still available when I returned from vacation it'd be a sign! Alas, sale is pending.

now that one I like. And if you are buying one of these, you want it to come from a rich owner that just paid to do everything!

what was it listed at? Price now just shows as sale pending.
