Our lot at the shore is plenty big for two large vehicles, so that's not a problem.

I don't think the Taco/Canyon would be big enough for us. We will have my mom with us once it awhile. I'd probably need to get her a step stool.

Why not go one SUV class size down, like the Envision and all the makes it competes with.

If we didn't need extra space to haul we would both have sedans.

At least with a truck you have real utility and can haul just about anything you want. I also hate all the sand that gets into the rear of the Enclave when we go to the beach. With a truck I can just hose out the bed.

We will see, if she isn't happy driving it won't ever happen. I've wanted a pickup again ever since I gave my S10 to my SIL but also like having a sedan.

Ideally we would have two sedans and an older truck for hauling, etc. Maybe I could sell that one!

Seems like if how it drives has any bearing on the decision, then the Ridgeline is the smart choice. Especially coming from a crossover.

The reviews seem to indicate the current model is quite an improvement in driving dynamics over the previous (F10?) - is that consistent with your experience?

I loved the E39, was ambivalent about the E60, and thought the F10 was BMW's Park Avenue(NOT a compliment). I like the G30- it's not quite the home run the E39 was, but it's a very nice car. I have to say that M Sport is a very attractive car in Bluestone Metallic, and the interior has a very premium look to it. That B&W sound system is amazing- 16 speakers powered by a 10-channel, 1400W, Class D amplifier with B&Wdiamond tweeters. It's tempting, the more I think about it.

good news. cheap cars do go quick. plus tax refund season, and some people might be worried about car sales shutting down too! Who knows if they can even get DMV work done.

One misgiving I have about the GTS is the quality(or lack thereof) of the Louisville Kia service departments; the dealer I'm talking with is over 90 minutes away so servicing it there isn't a player.

my sense, reading these posts, you are trying to talk yourself into it, but don't really want it. And that (speaking from experience here!) never tends to end well.

try the 5 series. If it does enough for you, go for it.

well, I knew it was clean and I expected them to keep it, but didn't think it would be up quite this quick. I guess not needing anything other than a quick detail to be front row ready (well, maybe 2nd row) helps.

curious what they end up getting for it. Might have to ask the sales guy once it is gone. Should be a quick sale at those miles. And for all the drama about how much they were giving me for it, still expecting a quick couple grand profit on it.

Good looking carfax, but interesting to me is that even though the same dealer did all the servicing, for some reason the 1st and 3rd regular services don't show up. But the ones with the extra stuff do. Mavis though (tires and brakes) doesn't apparently report. So carfax, as always, is not perfect.

Looks nice. I, too, was surprised how quickly the dealer listed our trade in Pilot with almost 140k when we bought the Q5 last July. We traded it on Sunday, they listed it on Tuesday, and it was sold by Saturday.

I really do want to try the GTS; it seems like 99% of Stinger owners seem to love them- and the GTS is aimed at the enthusiast who doesn't want every bell and whistle but does want an entertaining steer.

OF COURSE I went for the 2-for-1 sale. He is a contractor! Said he'd pass it along to his buddies.

How did I do on it? I lost. But no worse than a cheap lease, I suppose. That's what happens when you start preparing a car to keep for yourself and then sell it off instead. Oh well.

I totally get the dealership worry. I haven’t had to interface with mine all that much. They’ve offered discounts on services (which looks like is going to be quite inexpensive....$45 for oil/filter change, tire rotation, all the checks).

My Stinger is built very well. So, no untoward trips to the dealership, so far. Who knows what the future brings. But, it seems some of the early paint woes were just that, early production issues. Haven’t heard of any chronic mechanical issues, or even electronic issues for that matter. Seems well thought out.

Again, I’m still in the honeymoon stage. Seems like Kia is trying to elevate the brand, however.

Really odd situation, IMHO. Nobody else has signed him yet, and no idea if anyone would. Maybe a team looking for one good year? Make the investment to hope for a crowd? Circus mentality.

Right now, Tampa Bay and the Chargers seem to be the likely landing places. Las Vegas signed Mariota and Tennessee resigned Tannehill.

as to the Stinger, my son has had no issues with his G70, other than a creak in the headliner (I think related to sunroof shade?) that was apparently a common issue on that model. Mechanically, nothing.

So glad I stocked up on bourbon while I was there LOL! I bet Party Source is a madhouse now.

State liquor stores in PA are now closed. Wine and beer can still be purchased elsewhere but not spirits. All of our favorite brewpubs and microbreweries are doing takeout food and selling 4 or 6 packs.

I'm a Pats fan and have been since the dark days of the '70s, but while I'm very grateful for everything TB12 has meant to the franchise, I'm glad he is moving on. It's time. I think Belichick probably wanted that to happen 3 years ago and Robert Kraft overruled him which led to trading Garopollo, which I don't think BB wanted to do. Should be interesting to see what happens next.

that is a problem in NJ. no liquor sales at all (including beer or wine) at supermarkets or convenience stores. Only at liquor stores. So if those are not kept open, really going to be rioting around here!

just had to deal with XM to remove the old car. Realized I had to deal with the auto renewal on the TLX by this weekend so asked for the usual promo plan. Was shocked that the guy came back saying they had none at this time. Though I think he also BS'd me on what I could have done with the remaining time on the old car's plan.

they had a message on the phone about being large queues, but oddly immediately got a chat session going. so Saturday will call when I get up (meaning early thanks to the dog) and haggle in person. Though at this point, given how little I will use the TLX for long trips (and who knows how many months using it at all!), might be the right time to let it lapse and just use FM and have the kid set me up with streaming stuff and just use that instead.

You have a trial on the new car, correct?

If so sign up for the streaming service which is included now on all plans. Install the app on your smartphone, then plug into Apple Car Play. The app integrates perfectly and you'll have all your stations to stream rather than satellite.

You really don't need to have a subscription in each car any longer. I did this for awhile until my wife said she never used it, so I cancelled it altogether.

I noticed that some of the bars that do take out can also sell packaged goods, so I guess you could go that route if it gets desperate!

good point. I have the app already. Might have to just set up the account under the new account number but that certainly works. more hassle though, depending on how it integrates into the car. If I can't just thumb the button on the wheel to change stations it will lose it's appeal fast.

You nailed it @sda, they spent yesterday washing/vacuuming it out. Today was a quick run to AutoZone for a few bulbs that were out and a Turtle wax lens cleaning kit!

Good point with the XM. I think I may cancel it on the Infiniti and keep it integrated on the Toyota. If I’m taking a long trip in the Infiniti and get tired of listening to podcasts, can just stream XM.

I like the XM thing. We have it in the X3. Never downloaded the app, but I have CarPlay in the GTI. If I could stream it, that would be great

The Acura is the home vehicle for our XM subscription but I stream it through the BT in the truck. It sounds pretty good.

I have to think that allowing streaming on all plans has hit their bottom line a bit. Unless you have a very limited data plan it makes sense to just carry it in one vehicle and stream in the other.
