@pensfan83 - I get that about my Prelude a lot too. Not that it is for sale. Mostly Landscapers & Delivery Drivers.

"I like your car. What year?" 2001

"You no drive this car? I buy." Oh. Thank-you. It isn't for sale.

I'm far from the "I KNOWZ WHAT I GOTZ," type, but these guys think they are going to offer me $1,500 and I'll be happy to take it from them. The car is definitely worth more to me than anybody else at this point. Oh the other hand, if something were to happen to it, I wouldn't go looking for another Prelude.

Funny thing, on a car of that age here, rust is the last thing I'd look for, as a local car should have zero rust.

Local Volvo dealer has a huge inventory, using a Hilton overflow lot as storage. I've never seen so many XC90s. It'll take a while for a seller's market to develop there, anyway.

Love the color choices. In person, the red metallic is stunning, too.

I think that The Kia Store has one of the most ambivalent sales staff that I have ever encountered. Here’s the response I received after stating the trim level and colors I wanted:

“RB, thank you for your interest in the Stinger.

I am attaching a link to our current available inventory. If there is a specific one you are wanting to purchase we may still be able to order it depending on when KIA is looking to move to the 2021's

Please let me know if I can help further!”

I guess he can’t arrange a dealer trade. His lack of enthusiasm is palpable. The funny thing is, my son is wanting to replace his 3er with a small CUV until he gets his own house, and I was considering letting that dealer handle both the Stinger sale and a short term lease for my son.

Prelude officially off the market for now. It's had a lot of inquiries but most are from people correlating a 23 y/o Honda with a ratty and rusted out junker, like many are, and want it priced like one. I even went so far as to get pictures of the undercarriage for someone in Erie yesterday and the damn thing doesn't get any cleaner than that.

So, he knew the price....he asked for pictures of the undercarriage which you generously sent....and he says he isn't interested? Did he think the undercarriage was gold plated or stainless steel? :s

Oh he's interested, just not at a price point that makes sense for me. I told him as much and that's usually when the other side ghosts me.

I'm far from that type as well but that hasn't stopped some from using that retort. I can't justify keeping a 4th car in the mix but I'm also fine with waiting for the right buyer to come along. I don't think the current environment has many enthusiasts scouring the Internet for cars of that vintage.

On a positive note it was a great weekend to have it on the road. Warm and dry...and such a contrast to the ZHP.

after some digging, the 2006 Cayenne Turbo is being offered at auction pricing. I'll probably miss out because I have yet to receive the Vroom paperwork.

The V60 in question is a 2015. I believe it is the old 2.5 rather than the drive-E. They don't specify. Platinum trim, white on tan.

'07 V70/S60R? Yeah, good luck finding a clean one for reasonable money. One on Bat has a $14k bid with 96k miles and 3 days to go.

The 2008 Turbo was a pretty big design change and 2009 gave the electronics a significant upgrade. I'd probably target a 2009 over an 08 or 06.

    I wish them luck.

It never came up in conversations but I was told by the prior owner he never drove it in the winter and the first owner was equally as protective of it. I guess it could be remnants from the factory.

Sounds like the 2014 C250. For $11500 it is worth a lot more than that to me. It would hurt to sell it for that amount. Guess we have to lose our conscience and just go for it no matter what - if we really want a new car.

Are there lease subsidies on Kia SUVs right now? I’d check out the lease forums - I think you can get something much nicer than a RAV4 or CR-V for about the same coin those lease for.

Vehicles sales were cut in half by the crisis, but during the same time vehicle production ended. In other words, is there a chance that at some point it might be a seller's market?

I wondered this early one, when the discussion about dealers having to slash prices came up. Seems that they were more willing to ride it out, since once the world opened back up there was likely to be some pent up demand, and when they cleared out inventory they were not getting replacements. so if they sold all their stock at huge losses, they would not have anything to sell when demand ticked up. Assuming of course it really does.
I was just looking at a car dealer’s ad that stated that they were slashing prices because they wanted to move out at least half of their $6 million inventory. I suppose that like any other business, car dealers are unsure how to keep their operations profitable. Some may be able to sit on depreciating assets while others are in a cash flow bind and have to scramble.

I am also fine with a FWD, especially used. They are primarily FWD biased anyway, and most likely, I would never know the difference. I doubt the old RDX drove the rear wheels very often, if at all (not sure if that one had some small amount of power to the rear, or only sent some when needed). And on a used car, certainly something like a Volvo that had issues with the AWD systems for a long time, one less major thing to go wrong!

oh, that is a nice XC60, Not brown leather of course, but beige is nice! That would be a nice option at that price. I'd look at it if I was in the market. Plus, under CPO warranty for another 26 montha/34,000 miles.

yup. I would take a shot at that one! I know the engine issue (spark plug related?) only goes up to a certain point, and I think there were TSBs so would make sure it was thoroughly checked and remediated. But that could be right in the sweet spot of lots of goodies and performance, for relatively little money.
