Looks like an easy repaint job at least. Not cracked. Can’t really tell if it even needs and filler.

It’s just a quick sand and paint. Should not be too bad at a Indy shop. But maybe these days that qualifies.

My wife took the Clubman to run some errands and announced that she would rather keep the Mini and flip the X1. Fine by me. The 4xe remains a possibility, although I may just go with a 2 door Rubicon. Another possibility is a CPO V8 GC Trailhawk. If I was leasing I’d love a new Defender, but I’m keeping whatever I get for the long haul.

Surprised you wouldn't go Trackhawk. lol.

But what appeals to you about the Trailhawk trim? Just curious.

@mjfloyd1 - couple complicating factors - (1) I'm still waiting for plates for my car, which means I can't flip it right now, (2) I actually need a car and can't wait another 6-9 weeks for another Jeep to come in, (3) my wife has a good sense of humor but not that good...

I know it is anti-CCBA but I just don't feel the need to look a gift horse in the mouth. I have a screaming lease on a truck I love and I didn't have to travel to get it. Good enough for me!

I should have bought ten of those TDI’s but wifey thought I’d get screwed. Now she wishes I would have bought ten…

I’ll stop at 2 4xe assuming I can get the next deal done. If not, oh well.

The only thing even remotely interesting about ordering another Jeep is getting the Sky One Touch roof instead of the hard top. But I wonder if it wouldn't get really annoying in winter and in general on the highway.

It is also like $2500 more than black hardtop and I doubt that you would recoup much of that at resale.

2 videos recently indicating in the last week about wholesale prices declining. Flying wheels one was real informative. He said there were a lot of “if” sales (high bid below reserve, so a stalemate) but most sales/bids lower.

Apparently it’s normal for prices to dip this time of year anywsy.

The $7500 is a customer incentive and is used as a cap reduction, and lowers the adjusted cap cost on the lease.

    What he said.

Also, CCAP does not charge unearned rent charge in buyouts, so it is literally just residual + remaining depreciation on the buyout.

Just saw a bunch of comments that captives (FoMoCo in particular) were moving to stop letting dealers buy out a lease (just Ford dealers or the customer) so Carvana and Carmax are about to lose a big source of newer used cars.

You'd be surprised how hard that is to find. Also, it's Mineral White Metallic paint. Not so sure a blend job will look very good.

In any case, it's likely I'll file a comprehensive claim, and I'll only be out $250.

    Anyway..

The estimate is $1366 from the body shop that does a lot of BMW work.
We'll see what State Farm says about it.

I can knock it down to about $1200 if I don't replace the black molding (and no one would ever notice).

I'll ask about a blend job on the car, but I've had literally no luck in getting that done, before (even at Fast Eddie's.. lol)

Based on having the bumper cover of the G37 replaced, plus some additional because it's a BMW:
$800 to fill and paint existing bumper and replace molding (jinx, @roadburner !)
$1,900 if it needs a new bumper cover.

I was going to say $1,900 as well. Curious, that.

That's pretty cool. I think not a bad mod for $1200 (the front panels and shades). I may be inclined if my wife was keeping it for 3 years. Not that it would ever get turned in at lease end, but I wonder what would happen if you did turn it in with those in place. You'd also probably have no problem finding someone willing to swap with you for their stock top.

Funny, because the official information we have doesn't show the $7500, so when folks ask about incentives on the Wrangler 4xe, we tell them we don't have any. You all that have pulled the trigger (and other members) have stated the incentive exists.

Nice! So we will have 2 Sting Gray’s, a white, Sarge Green and Granite Crystal. Mine is saddle as well.

Probably should have done all weather mats with mine as well. I didn’t think about the fact that the back and cargo (I think) are different on the 4xe due to the battery. I had planned on some from Quadratec or Weathertech.

We swapped for new Toyos at 34K miles, because we'd decided to extend the lease, and there was already no way they'd pass inspection. At least, we got 7 months out of them, and no issues at turn-in.

We like the old Toyos (other than the wear), and Discount Tire had a pretty good deal, so no point in switching.

The OEM Toyos were significantly cheaper ($175 vs $226), but at the off chance I decide to buy the truck out after extending the lease 6 months I'll be covered. If I decide to sell it outright, these will look new even after 8 months and over 12 - 15K miles. The OEM Toyos have worn nicely.
