Hey guys. Either my Google action is poor or the information is just not out there.

Does anyone know how Volvo handles the $7500 on their recharge models? Is it like the 4XE deals or would I have to do it on my taxes?

I assume they are eligible as it is a very similar system to the 4XE

I thought on a lease you couldn’t take it on your taxes? Only a purchase? And the leasing company got it on a lease. Chrysler financial just happens to pass it through but does not have to.

Thanks Q and Stick .. I should have realized I can’t claim that on a lease.

I’ll check in on the lease boards.

None of the recharge models have lease incentives in your region.

As q noted, you don’t get the tax credit as you aren’t the owner of the vehicle. And Volvo is electing not to pass through any of the incentives, unlike CCAP on the 4xe.

However, Audi does on the Q5E, A7E and the e-tron. The full $7500.

Had green liquid under the Audi this weekend. Mechanic had the car from Tuesday morning till yesterday afternoon and couldn't find the leak! Crazy as that sounds, they had it up on their lift and looked all over & nothing, nothing at all. Left my vehicle at home yesterday for the wife to drive, her first time but very similar to hers, but since hers was done before she had to go to Ft. Lauderdale, she left mine at the mechanics parking lot & picked it up after work.
So going forward, we'll just keep an eye on the floor and if the leak starts again, will deal with it then. Gotta a good feeling that by this time next year, if the chip situation is history, the Audi will be gone. Like most wives, she has zero tolerance when issues start to happen. The annoyance factor plays the biggest part as she just wants her vehicle to work when needed...and when it keeps acting up & isn't that reliable anymore, it's days in the stable are numbered. Think we're almost at that point but as I told her, now is just not the time to buy something new. So, we'll just monitor the situation & go from there.

New t v will be delivered this afternoon. Ended up with the 55" Sony smart t v which was a bit more than I wanted to spend, but went ahead and ordered it. Best Buy is delivering it for free so we'll set it up this weekend. Think it'll work out great and having the bluetooth option will be wonderful since she works from home 80% of the time. And since my hearing ain't the greatest, being able to use my headphones when necessary, will solve all her issues. And I get a slightly larger screen than I wanted plus, it's a smart t v, so we have more choices in what we watch and can possibly get rid of the expensive cable t v. Think most of the stuff we like can be sen on a streaming service so nice to have that option. Cable t v has gotten just too expensive so lowering our bill a bit is a good thing.
We just did that with our cellular phone bill. The three of us don't use much data as we use wifi most of the time, so we lowered our data plan and got the savings I was looking for. We have AT&T right now & have never gone over our data limit even once. So with the rollover we get monthly, just made sense to try a lesser plan and see how it goes. If we find an issue down the line, we'll just deal with it then. We like our AT&T service and have had no issues with them all these years but, I'd like to change over to Metro PC/T-Mobile for their $25 unlimited data plan. Know a lot of folks who have T-Mobile and like them. Just have to convince my better half to make the move since she prefers AT&T.

B8 or B6 regular/mild hybrid. I don't think they are selling any B models in the US.

No B6 on S60. They took away the T5 and T6 and left us only with the new B5 powertrain. If you want more power you have to setup to the T8/Recharge.

    The S90 is B6 only.

Well ..... That depends. If you're buying a car that has always sold at close to MSRP, then I would agree with your statement. If you're buying a car (or truck) that 3 years ago could be had at 15 to 20 percent off MSRP, or even more at the end of the model year, then yes, this is a bad time.

But you are 100% correct about buying used, this is an unbelievably bad time. I was reading a news article this morning about the latest inflation numbers, and they mentioned that used cars are up 40% over the past 12 months.

    Frickin' unbelievable!

On Edit: I happened to be looking at my house on Zillow earlier today. According to them, my house has appreciated a little over $2.5k in the past 30 days alone. A little basic math, and that is slightly above 1.1% for one month, an annual rate of 13.2%. Insanity. At that rate, I can see why first time home buyers are out of luck these days.

Hey, thanks for the reminder! I haven't driven it in like a week. Actually, exactly a week tonight. Because of your comment, I just went out there and made my 2nd mod. I removed the clutch helper spring. Real PITA to get it out. We'll see later if that makes any difference. It is definitely a weird arrangement. It uses a combination of a spring and 2 pivots so the spring works both to engage and disengage the clutch.

Bottom line for Volvo is they took the turbo (T5) and turbo/supercharged (T6) engines and took them to hybrids. Power output is similar with better FE. What I can’t understand is why the did away with the “6” option on the 60 series models. At first thought it may have been to get you to step up to the T8 Recharge but those are extremely thin despite Volvo having more inventory than most.

Yup. Well, partly. Would have plastidipped the whole thing and then used model enamel for the lettering. Then carefully cut and reapplied 3m tape. Instead, I paid $14.95 to get them molded in black, letters already painted blue, and 3m tape already mounted.
