    Nice one :)

The Nissan is strictly inventory. Pajero is intended for personal use. No telling how long that will last with me.

Still trying to score a 4wd mini-minivan. Intended to be Myrtle Beach fixture.

And constantly perusing for other inventory. Was thinking a Rover Mini could be a good candidate. One of the later 1300 cc models.

Also kind of kicking around a late Beetle idea. I think there’d be a market for that.

So a local Hyundai dealer I spoke to months ago called. Theyre willing to sell me an N slightly under list, no markups, accessories, etc.

I have an Illness because I’m considering.

Also might have to do with the G blowing another sensor while I was gone…

Not a veloster - the Elantra N which is a sedan - she's fine with it. It's me that is having pause about it.

@28firefighter - that Elantra N seems like a nice deal to get into a reliable fun vehicle. What color is it?

I'm up in Idaho for the weekend for a kid's baseball tournament. Got an Outlander Sport as a rental...not as bad as I expected. No CarPlay, but it does have decent safety features like BLIS. Certainly is lacking on power, but its size makes it nimble enough.

I also pulled the trigger on a Rivian from my access to their "R1T Shop." Wife and I decided on one in Rivian Blue with the black interior, on the base 21" road wheels. Other than the extra charge color, the only other option is the powered tonneau cover. They claim delivery in 6-8 weeks or less.

What is the general view of the V8 Audi S5s? I may have an opportunity to buy one with 90k miles. Tons of recent work - cooling system, alternator, AC, entire front end, etc.

I had a 91 90Q 20V, and an 89 100 Avant. This is the combination of those two vehicles. Given my experience with both, well, I'm good over here. Bonne chance, though.

Longish interview on CBS News about the used car price bubble bursting and an easing of the new car chip shortage. Combined with higher interest rates we could be on the cusp of things reversing.

I’m always shocked this forum is still going. Good to see everyone keeping their chronic car buyer’s card punched.

We have moved over to the dark side and purchased a VW ID.4 a few weeks ago. We also have a Tesla M3 on order that we may or may not give our RAV4 Hybrid up for.

    From the Houston Chronicle:

Houston’s auto market in June continued to recover from the pandemic and related economic fallout — including supply chain disruptions that contributed to shortages of vehicles.

New vehicle sales in the region jumped about 2 percent last month and 25 percent from a year earlier, according to TexAuto Facts, a monthly industry report published by Houston-based InfoNation, Inc.

Car prices continue rise. The average vehicle bought at a regional dealership hit $50,487 in June, up about 2 percent from $49,688 in May and 15 percent from $43,867 a year ago.

McDowell noted that the Houston region continues to significantly outpace the national auto industry’s broader recovery. He said the heavy reliance on cars to get around in the region could explain the additional strength of the local auto market.

Yeah - that one still stings. We saw a used Supra on the lot a couple weeks ago and I remarked how I picked one up for $47k ($9k off MSRP) in the midst of COVID. It would look great in our current garage.
