I’m worried now that my hybrid will get built as a 22. I really wanted it rolled over.
Yeah, at this point, I don't think Ford extending the 2022 production run will really affect the timing of delivery of our trucks, since rolled over orders have priority. It will only hurt us when we go to trade in a 2022 instead of a 2023.
Ok, laugh all you want, but for a sale price of $740, I think its a good buy. Yeah, yeah, sure, it will be like $3k by the time it gets here, but still cheaper than a golf cart. Only about 37k miles.
Its ugly, but at least its slow. ;b
Trying to decide if I should stick with bidding on this tonight, too, just to cover my bases. The mazda would be more useful, but I'm doubtful anybody else will want to buy the suzuki. lol.

Got the build sheet on the Wagoneer L. She tells me the tow package is not showing in the system as a choice. I guess not horrible if I have to add that after. The change that has me nervous, however, is the replacement of the 6.4 v8 with the 3.0 TT. First year engine. Oh boy.

Was going through the paperwork for the Elantra and found some interesting tidbits (finance process was quick and I didn't ask many questions): - 3 years included maintenance (Hyundai) - 5 yr/60k Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty (Hyundai) - 10 yr/100k Power Train Warranty (Hyundai) - Unlimited Power Train Warranty (Underwritten by dealer with $100 deductible).
If I was someone who kept cars for any period of time, this would matter more - but that's a hefty backing for a car that is clearly not made up of cheap mechanical designs and parts.
In other news: my son asked to go to school in the Elantra because it sounds like a race car. I explained to him the Tesla is faster and he goes "I know, it pushes me back in my seat SO HARD, but this one sounds so cool!"

That's impressive. Are there any onerous conditions on the dealer powertrain warranty? I think I recall some that require you to have all maintenance done at the dealer, e.g., their "packages" with transmission flushes every 15k and other unnecessary upsells.

Well, the 2018 Prius and 2021 3-Series are history, each sold for good prices. Now I have fuel efficient new vehicles for the small amount of driving, errands etc. that we do. I look at them as a transition, bi-passing the luxo vehicles until more EV choices become available in the next year or two. That said, there are two punches, this past week and 6 weeks ago, a 2022 Honda CR-V Touring Hybrid and a 2023 Elantra Limited, both pearl red with non-black leather interiors and loaded with good features. Like @graphicguy, red is my favorite and I got a gray leather and melange leather interiors, respectively. Neither had an ADM, mop-n-glo or other “mandatory options”. Despite the challenging buyers market, both were good experiences at their respective local Autonation dealers. Here are some pics. Continued…

I test drove a 31,000 mile 2021 Veloster N over the weekend; I'm thinking a relative sister to your Elantra N? It has the 8 speed dual clutch.
I liked it! Liked it more than I thought I would actually. But didn't quite love it. I commend Hyundai for making what is clearly a nice fun to drive seemingly well put together car though.
If the Golf R was the benchmark I think they missed the mark, but if the GTI was benchmarked, I think they've hit the bullseye and have a winner.
Engine = B+ .... Pulls fast and quick at lower speeds, but does run out of steam at 75+
Transmission = A- ... First Dual Clutch I've driven outside of VW/Audi/Porsche that made sense and worked correctly to my taste, and I'm Mr. DSG. (Note haven't driven a SMG from BMW or a version from Ferrari yet) They nailed it; although at higher speeds the throttle/downshifting was lackluster and unresponsive, even in sport mode; I took this out on the Engine not having guts above 75 MPH though. I did like the 8 gears to make up for this; it just cruises at high speed low RPM for CA cruising. In sport mode it cruises in 6th gear, I believe the programming pretends it's a 6-speed in Sport. Rev matched down shifts just braking in a straight line for a red light or stop sign with nice exhaust notes??? Yes, just like my S4. NICE! Appreciate the fun aggression even when your not in aggressive driving mode (but yes, sport mode).
Handling A-/B+ .... Will keep up with the GTI and probably/maybe beat it. Felt very composed and controlled on a full on-ramp 180 at 45 MPH. Impressed. FWD hampers low speed acceleration and handling/turning while accelerating. I think the 2nd time I hit the throttle I got instant front wheel spin and if I didn't know it was FWD I did instantaneously then. Traction control seemed to work OK to help, but I'm used to 0 MPH GO POWER with AWD.
Interior - B+ ..... Good enough for the VW crowd, and that's a good thing. Seat felt comfy and was adjustable to a tall person. Windshield is high enough which isn't common in sporty Asian cars for someone 6'3" tall.
AC worked nice as it was hot.
Didn't test the wipers or sound system or headlights (daytime).
Price = D- ... $36,900 for a 31,000 mile car that stickered for probably around $32K? This is the Toyota dealerships fault (and the market) not Hyundai's fault though.

@stickguy - good news for you on the latest Long McArthur video. I haven't watched it, but from reading the comments, it sounds like they are only scheduling Ecoboosts for the remainder of the 2022 model run.
Couple new Elantras in as many days here on the forum...and even praise from @andres3! Go Hyundai!
I've kinda backed off for now on the higher priced performance cars (Supra, Z, M240i) in favor of the more affordable (if you can find them) options...Civic Si, GTI, GR86.
I asked my Toyota salesperson to keep me updated on the special edition GR86 for 2023 (special edition being an exclusive orange color and unique wheels). And I'm casually looking for any Civic Si inventory (@michaell is doing the same and helping out!). Maybe stretch for an Integra, as they just seem more attainable.
And gotta say, I'm liking the more restrained look of the Type R...but it was challenging enough to get one 5 years ago in that market.
