The rear bumper on the red M2 looks much better than the same bumper on a light blue one, believe it or not. Probably black would hide the weirdness best
If I learned anything from the Maverick saga, it’s to order anything you might possibly want. Because you will have lots (and lots) of time to decide before it arrives, and if you change your mind, the dealer won’t care at all!
Good luck selling it. You haven’t yet tried to sell one of your imports, right?
Correct
I should have you find me a cheap convertible toy. As long as the steering wheel is on the correct side. And there is some chance of finding parts and a mechanic that has ever seen one!
I’m guessing the safest bet is a brand that was sold here, and a model that had most mechanicals shared with a model that was too. That mostly means body panels and trim is hard to find.
I’d be a little more interested if it was at least a 2018.
Is there an issue with the 2017s?

So my salesperson is going to notify me when she learns what their M2 allocation will be. I definitely want it in Toronto Red, with the manual(of course) as well as the CF roof- along with the HUD, M Carbon seats, and the M Drivers package. So we'll see- although a friend whose opinion I trust told me I need to check out an AMG CLA45- he says it's a riot.

We looked at one of these a couple of years ago here and I've always had a thing for them. I occasionally look for them and being such low production numbers they rarely come up for sale and finding a new one is even more challenging.
Unfortunately this one does have an accident on the CarFax but after @breld and @michaell and I texted about it I feel it was repaired well and the ending price was reflective of a CarFax ding. I had been eyeing a similar model in silver at a dealer in Palm Springs that also had a "minor" accident on the CarFax and they were asking low 70's, who knows what they got for it but I feel OK with the price I paid for this car considering this market and a new one is also low $70's.
I'm working on getting it shipped out here, if nothing else it will help keep some miles off the Defender for a bit which is almost halfway to out of warranty.
Very nice! The T8 plug in hybrids seem to be very rare in all of Volvo's models, and I know they did not lease well when new, compared to the conventional T5/T6 powertrains.
Used car values still making no sense. That Polestar should have been WAY less in a more historically normal market. But hard to argue with an auction result, that’s for sure.

I'm surprised you didn't order one of those Red PMC TLX Type S
The thought crossed my mind. I didn’t see final pricing on it. I had read it’s in the $60s. Some pretty nice rides at that price point, but none of them would have the exclusivity of the PMC. Might give Acura dealer a call and see where pricing falls on an order, though.
I was browsing local inventory of Mustang Mach-Es and came across an available GT model. Clicked on the “unlock price” option which resulted in a schedule that clearly outlines the MSRP, and the “your price” which was equal to MSRP.
So, thought I may go check it out…could be a good deal at MSRP and you’d get the “old” tax credit. Made an appointment with a salesperson for yesterday afternoon, got a call in the morning from a sales manager to confirm the appointment. Got there promptly at 4:00. The salesperson has information available on the available new GT and a slightly used one they have in the showroom. Then he mentions something about markups on available units that customers had backed out on. Huh? Oh yeah…$10k markup on Mach-E GTs.
Man, do I hate that. I think I may have had a conversation with the SM for wasting my time.
100%. And I would have had the printout showing "my price."
Ford has been cracking down on markups, so I'm sure they'd like to hear if the dealer wasn't honoring their own quoted price with ADM.
I reported the dealership to Ford. Ford sent a nice note back stating they would check into it and that they value me as a customer (although it’s been a few years since I was a Ford owner). Got a standard note back from Cronin Ford’s owner/GM stating how the market is setting pricing. I sent a note back stating lying is never acceptable in business, and his dealership lied. I never heard anything back.

Super rare car with that spec, I wonder how many exist just like it. Congrats.

Nice find - I like it. Hard to fault a Volvo wagon, and if there's a cool Volvo on Cars and Bids, jpp75 is usually involved.

As I've said several times in the past, with the exception of Kings Ford in Cincinnati, it has been the Ford dealers that have stood between me and buying a Mustang Bullitt or Mach 1. Although I will in all fairness note that the email correspondence that I have had with Mike Castrucci Ford in Alexandria KY was fine- the price has been the issue...

Appreciate all the congrats, working on getting it shipped now. As @breld and I always discuss we like having something unique that you don't see every day, this certainly checks that box but I'm looking forward to seeing how this power train performs. Plus yellow seat belts!

It's got to be fairly small, maybe even in the 3 digit range. Of course this car only comes in 4 colors, black, white, silver and thunder gray and there aren't really any options to add but I think the number of units that make it over here for sale is quite small. White isn't usually my first choice but I like it on this car, plus having the black Defender it will be nice to have something that hides dirt a little easier.

I think closest comparison is the J30 and M30, since the Gloria is RWD.

My best friend in CA had a J30 for many years, got it up to over 200K, IIRC, before it gave up the ghost.
Now he has a G35.
