What would it cost - if anything - to get chargers installed at the primary and beach houses?

I looked up a level 2 charger on Amazon. It was $400, add in maybe $75 in materials and I would be good go. I would do install, my panel is in the garage and there should be plenty of room.

At the shore we would suffer with 110 charging or charge somewhere. We drive the golf cart down there most of the time and a round trip is only 140 miles from home so wouldn’t need a charge for the weekend

I think it will be harder to find a non Xdrive in the Northeast; perhaps a Carmax transfer. I've seen a few, but Xdrive is the norm.
I do plan to drive mine in the winter, see how this winter goes as to keeping both the A7 and M240. Maybe combine them into an 8 convertible.

Usually is up here but a convertible could be an exception. Likely came from out of the area. Not a deal breaker, I just prefer it.

Not going out in the snow or salt even with AWD so no functional value to me having it.

@laurasdada - Nice car - mine's younger, AWD twin - but miles are a little dear for the year. No warranty.

@tjc78 - I forget what you're paying on the XC90 but that's a strong deal especially in a state like NJ. Do they still have the ChargeUp rebate you can apply for? Or is that only for in-state leases?

We are at $620 for the XC with about two tanks of premium a month. I figure it is a wash. It is also cheaper than a comparable XC90 lease right now.

I have zero idea on the ChargeUp. Will have to look into it.

I think there are price restrictions on ChargeUp. I believe you have to lease it from an NJ Dealer. I'd be wary of any charger being sold by Amazon on the cheap.

The one I looked up was in some recommended list. The Chargepoint one I’ve seen before was only $150 more.

I looked at the program and they offer a $250 credit for the charger.

Unfortunately I’m in a holding pattern for a few weeks so the deal may not be there. I’m highly doubtful I’d replicate that discount going in without a broker so who knows.

This is the one I’d pick at my local dealer (same MSRP as the broker one, pretty base). Not the best looking rig out there, but the interior is nice. Wife approved it.

So considered alternatives to the Integra Type S and caused myself some self inflicted option anxiety.

Yes; 20”- tire prices are a little cheaper than the 17”A/T rubber on the Rubicon. Probably going to go with the BFG KO2 when these tires wear out.

Thanks. I caught it as soon as it arrived from the auction. When we arrived my salesperson had to get it out of the holding lot. The reason we pick it up Monday is because it still needs to be detailed. Even though it was posted on the dealer’s web site it never made it to the used car side of the dealership.

I also looked at Broncos, but they were all priced thousands over MSRP- new or used. I'd love a Defender 90 but again more than I wanted to spend. Not much else out there that combines compact size and true off-road capability.
My wife really likes it and the long term plan is to sell the X1 in 2025 when my term ends and then Sahara will be her car.

Looks just like my daughter’s 4xe except she has black hardtop and caramel interior. Hers is exactly the same as mine other than mine being Sting Grey. I believe the only option difference is that we have limited slip rear axle.

I suppose that you know that it has the upgraded Dana axles (without sway bar disconnect)

It seems that most on the forums leave the transfer case in 4 high auto and it automatically goes to 4WD when needed and has only a tiny mileage penalty vs RWD. Also simpler to set and forget for my daughter.

She sent me a tic toc of “where’s my dad” that showed a bunch of car dash icons showing on car dashes and wondering what was wrong😂

I'm no fan of the jellybean styling, but it's still superior to BMW's "repeatedly beaten with an ugly stick" designs.

I call the MB EVs "bathtubs", "jellybean" works too. People called the Taurus that back in the day, and it ended up being a landmark design, but I don't know if this one will be as significant. It is almost the opposite of the BMWs, where the BMW is jarring, the MB is almost trying to be background noise.

The jutting tablet thing also irks me - I vastly prefer the screen design in my car where it is more integrated into the dash. I suspect the wacky "hyperscreen" option on these cars is very rare.

The Ford dealer up in Rutland had a couple of GT convertibles on the lot last week @ $57k. Maybe I could trade in every car I own and only have to finance half of that.😫
