2017 A4 Quattro w/AudiCare 15,000 miles 42 months MSRP: $42,635 Price: $36,327 Residual: 52% MF: .00099
$520/m only make 1st payment at signing no other $ down.
They are taking my existing lease on an audi w/1 month left at $505. I have $600 in minor repairs that I am not sure how to handle. Can you negotiate that with Audi if you buy another audi? They are such minor things like hook marks from rocks hitting it on the highway. About a dozen of those they priced at $300 and a cracked front fender @ $300.
Using your numbers, as is, I get $395/mo before tax.
You need to find out what the adjusted cap cost is, if you are rolling in all the taxes and fees. My guess is that the damage and last payment are being added in, as well.
I asked for it and this was their response:
the numbers I am giving you are the actual real numbers that any Audi dealer goes by. Idk what Edmunds is telling you but that is false. The cap cost is the selling price which is $36,327. Like I said you can shop these numbers around to any dealer and they will tell you that we are crazy and are not doing the deal but we are.
I'm not disputing the MF and residual - those match the information I have.
I'm questioning the adjusted capitalized cost, because the numbers we have give a payment far less than what the dealer is quoting you.
Math doesn't lie.
Where is the acquisition fee? Where is the dealer fee (assuming there is one)? Where is the registration or DMV costs (assuming you pay that to the dealer)? What state and tax rate is this?
If that cap cost includes all the above then the actual selling price is far lower, and the payment should be a lot smaller than the $520/mo quote.

Using $39,258 as the adjusted cap cost with everything else staying the same, the payment goes to $468/mo for 42 months - still about $2200 missing from the cap cost.

Hey. I think you said this is from a NJ dealer correct? I'm in northern NJ and wouldn't mind if I could PM you since this is my first experience with buying an Audi and seems you have done it before.
Also Michaell, would this be the Residual and MF for 42 month Prestige for 15K? Would residual go up to 54% for 12K 42 mo?
Can you tell me which trim holds a better RV after 36mo/10k in CA? also if you can please tell me what the RV and MF for all 3 trims for 36mo/10k in CA are?
Premium and Prem Plus have a better residual than Prestige.
FWD or Quattro?
Sorry to ask this buy why would Prem and Prem+ have better residual value? Easier to sell after lease because the Prestige is priced higher?

In general, higher trim levels have lower residuals.
Better to find a Premium or Premium Plus and option it up to be like a Prestige.

Thanks. Tried that but Driver Assistance Pkg doesn't come in Prem+ unfortunately.
Hi, Is the lease values for a 2017 Audi A4 quattro premium plus in DE,MD and PA for 36/15k the following, MF= 0.00079 and RV= 56% ? Any difference when adding Audi Care ? I'd also like the values for 24/15k.

Those are correct. Add 1% for AudiCare, add 7% for 24/15.

Out of curiosity: what are the Dealer Services, Phantom Footprints, and Tint? Those seem odd and expensive.

36/15 on FWD Premium is .00034 and 54%. Add 2% for 12K. Your MF is marked up for extra profit. Add 1% for AudiCare.
Using your MSRP and "balance", I get $671/mo
Questions for you:
What state and tax rate is this?
The "phantom footprints" and "tint" are adding $18/mo to the payment. Do you need them?
Your discount from sticker is about 5% - might be a little bit of room to go lower.
Reach out to another dealer .. the competition will get you a better price, and a better deal.

Thanks for the Reply Michael! I am in Texas and the tax rate is 8.25% so that tax shown there threw me off. As for the phantom footprint and the tints, the dealer said that they do them for every car, which is just another way to charge you for something you don't need I'm my opinion. Do you have any idea of what incentives Audi has going on currently for the 2017 model?
Just an FYI, the tax rate in Texas on auto sales is 6.25%. The usual additional 2% local sales tax (total 8.25% for most purchases) does not apply to auto sales. And unfortunately, we are taxed on the entire purchase price of the car rather than the lease amount

We've always felt that 6% off the Audi MSRP was a good discount. If you can get more, more power to you!
I get $505/mo on the nose with those numbers. If you're comfortable with the selling price, looks like a solid deal, especially if there was no out of pocket at lease signing.

Perfect - Thanks!
The cap costs included a $505 payment that they are making for me as my last payment from my old lease. I didn't really care because I am getting a new car a month earlier at the same monthly payment. Last time I bought my Audi, I paid $505/m + $2500 down and a $1500 trade in. Terrible deal. Glad I found this site. Thanks for your help.

Thanks Michaell, I went back today to another dealership and got this offer below at the buy rate money factor of 0.00034. If i add 5 MSDs then it drops it down to 0.00005 MF and the monthly goes down to $568 from $583. Are those numbers correct? They applied a tax credit also.
PS- don't mind my spanglish doodles on the sheet hahaha
Hmmm I guess I can't edit my previous post anymore. I ran some numbers on a lease calculator that I put together and came up with $552 per month using the above numbers. Am I anywhere close to what it should be?

57% is the residual for 36/10; I thought you were looking for 36/12
This is my first Audi buying experience. Wonder if the Audi A4 every has lower rates on a lease or higher residual values. As I think Michaell mentioned it seems BMW has a higher MF but also has a much higher residual. Has Audi ever had residuals in the 60's for 36/12 or so? Or even upper 50's. Just trying to learn.
This is going to be my first lease and I was wondering how many miles I should get. On just driving round trip to work, I do bout 11,000 miles a year. So that made me think that I should go for 15,000 mile lease. Using the payment calculator on Audi's website, it comes out to be a total difference of 1033.56 between 12k and 15k for 36 months. If I went with the 12k miles I would need to have driven 4134.24 extra miles over the original 12k miles at 0.25 per mile to end up having to pay the diffence of 1033.56. If I think of it that way, I could drive for 16134.24 miles and end up paying what I would normally pay for 15k miles. Now if I know for a fact that I will not go over 16k miles, does it make sense for me to purchase the lease for 12k miles and end up with some possible savings?
Also, is the cost per extra mile something that can me negotiated?

Sure.. we've seen residuals in the upper 50s for Audi, but not recently.
Not sure how that information helps you, though. The past doesn't necessarily mean it will happen again, any time soon.

4134 miles is the total to break even? That's 13,378 miles/year, not 16,134 mi/yr.

You are right. I see my math was incorrect. I was basing the 4134 extra miles for each year instead of dividing it by 3.

It does help thanks. I'm likely going to have to order a car or take one that is currently out on the water because I'm being very specific of what I want. With that, I am looking to the future. So it seems pretty stable meaning I'll likely take the car now instead of waiting.
Hello, first time here and looking to lease an A4 for my wife. I was quoted on a premium A4 front wheel drive a factor of .00135 with a residual of 57%. is this correct? the sticker was $38,500 and he said he was taking $3500 off the price. what is a good price and money factor I should expect with tier 1 credit? I live in South Florida and our tax rate is 6.5%

The 36/10 numbers are .00034 and 57%, so the MF is being marked up on you.
Using the base rates along with your prices, I get a payment of $407/mo with tax.
Managed to get this quote today from a local Audi dealer in southern California. What do you think? Looks decent on paper.

Driveoff: 1849.65 (includes 795 acquisition, 406, DMV, CA tax, smog/tire fees) Monthly: 552.70 after CA tax
According to dealer approximately 20 dollars more per month if on a 36/12 lease due to drop in residual to 58%.

Sorry, my apologies for not including it.
It's a 2017 A4 Premium Quattro.
Thanks!
WIth your MSRP and sale price, I get $465/mo.
What is the adjusted cap cost? I ask because the $2000 at signing isn't enough to cover the tax, doc fee, registration, first payment and bank fee.

Acquisition fee: $785
Dealer fee: $496
DMV: $350
Sales tax (NJ @ 7%): about $1300
negotiated price: $36,327
adjusted cap: $39,258
How's that make the $520/m figure look now?

Also Michaell, would this be the Residual and MF for 42 month Prestige for 15K? Would residual go up to 54% for 12K 42 mo?

Better to find a Premium or Premium Plus and option it up to be like a Prestige.

No money down...I thought the payment was eighth where it should be so I accepted. Getting all numbers this morning.
This is a 2017 A4 Quattro Premium w/ 15,000 miles 42 months + AudiCare
Thanks in advance.
Please let me know what a fair deal would be, looking to get under $500 monthly with $0 down. Which I think it is definitely doable.
Thank!
Out of curiosity: what are the Dealer Services, Phantom Footprints, and Tint? Those seem odd and expensive.

Also, is the cost per extra mile something that can me negotiated?
Not sure how that information helps you, though. The past doesn't necessarily mean it will happen again, any time soon.
