gto phs documented Want to know what killed Pontiac?
The car is interesting, but I bet this guy's story as a 'falling star' is even more interesting
THIS M3 is more like it. Tempting at this price?
2005 Salvage Porsche --Ah, another member of the Telephone Pole Seekers of America Driving Club (the TPSADC).
Qvale Mangusta -- a "staggering" 6800 rpm limit? Why, that's modern mini-van territory--LOL! Hard sell, nobody wants this car.
2007 Porsche -- holy crap, an $1875 a month lease, into which he installed a custom $7000 stereo. Wonder what the leasor is going to think about THAT. This man must be stopped before he leases again. Not a sober consumer it seems.
1999 M Convertible --seems fair enough.
There was a high-output 455 that had 310 hp, which was supposed to be made available for the Grand Am, Grand Prix, and GTO, but in the end it only went in the Trans Am. I'm sure if it had been made available, it would have been quite a brute.
And if nothing else, at least Pontiac still kept the GTO fairly high in the HP pecking order that year. While 230 hp isn't much to brag about, the Grand Am, which was basically Pontiac's attempt at a more luxurious musclecar, and a step up in price, just had a 170 hp 400-2bbl standard.
Of course, this is the most pathetic "muscle?" car of them all!
I don't think the Coyote would've had a problem catching this Road Runner!
That gray car beside the Roadrunner above almost looks like my old '89 Gran Fury. Except that mine didn't have the spotlight on the A-pillar, and the only time my Gran Fury ever went to Carlisle, I was put way up on the hill, which was sort of a no-man's land back then. I think that pic above might have been taken back when they still had the "
SimmerSummer Carlisle" event, which was usually small enough that they actually had spectator parking on the fairgrounds.2016 Audi A7 3.0T S Line, 2021 Subaru WRX

A shining light in the Dark Dismal Depressing Disastrous Declining Detroit 80s.
My wife had stopped at a clinic there to get her glasses repaired, so I had about 45 minutes to wander around the lawns outside the building giving both my daughter and dog a walk. As I passed the six parking spaces reserved for "handicapped" patrons, I noted that five of the six vehicles were Buick. The sixth? An Oldsmobile. I bet that was not necessary a common event, but it certainly grabbed my attention and made me chuckle.
Can't afford this but it appears to be better built than most

I never liked that style. I much prefer my Z31.
And I gotta go against texases. The 350z is one of the sexiest [affordable] cars on the road, IMHO.

Volvo 850 -- priced fairly at $800---parts are expensive for these suckers and no doubt he has pursued the bad idle issue until he's sick of trying. I'd take a shot at it.
76 Mustang Ghia V8--- price is fair enough. Nasty looking engine compartment though.
64 Wildcat-- price is exactly market correct for "fair" condition.
79 Fiat -- for that money it should be clean and running. Worth maybe $750 bucks--seats look shot, engine looks like it hasn't run in years. No upside here. You could get $1500 in the UK for it.
The Aurora is in too much of dissassembly to make it worth while fixing. You can probably find a running example for about a grand more.
The Grand Prix looks ok too so a Pontiac fan with a lower trim Grand Prix might pick it up, swap in the functioning parts into the white one, and have a loaded car for little money.

That's what the Silvia/180SX was for. 175-200 hp in a roughly 2500-pound coupe.
Then take it for a ride and drive the hell out of it---stress the car. Go back, park it, and look again top and bottom.
You'll know everything you need to know in about 20 minutes and decide.
Can you live without AC? Yeah
Can you live without heat and defrost? No
4 bad tires? How much is that gonna cost me?
Can I live without a sunroof? Yeah
Check engine light? REJECT (at least in California---can't pass smog).
For Andre
For Fintail?
And a question for the group: Aren't we all aghast at this?

What will survive are used cars in very very nice condition.
Wow. 30 mile range max at 55mph. I wonder how long the ice lasts.

I think that 21K miles over 24 years tells you how much fun this one is.
Sometimes I think there's a law that the sadder the Ferrari the bigger the prancing horse on the front fender has to be
875 miles/year = "I'd better take it out for a drive, or the wife won't let me keep it around any more."
You can't sell a high mileage Ferrari to anyone, even a modern Ferrari. At about 60,000 miles, they are essentially parts cars in terms of value.
Nicely done but far from original
It's been a hard life
Weird proportions
Are the inside and the outside the same car?
Strangely enough, I actually liked the "Space Cab" concept, though if I were to get one, it would have been 4WD and had the optional 31" tires. Probably killed the mileage, however.
That Accord certainly doesn't look like it has 45K original miles ... but, having been to NY (both the city as well as LI and Westchester) a number of times on business (not to mention having family in the area), I guess any car parked there for over 20 years is bound to look like that.
$8k? Seriously? That will be a permanent fixture in his yard for sure.

Does that seller really think anyone looking for a Honda S2000, an Infiniti Q45, a Benz, a Caddy Escalade, or a Navigator would stumbe upon this ad and buy that Isuzu pickup instead? :confuse:

An air-cooled bug makes quite a distinctive clatter. The quiet whine of the electrics must seem very odd coming from an ancient Beetle. :surprise:
That little Isuzu truck comes from the generation of Isuzu trucks that were dang near bullet proof.
I loved that generation of Accords. Unfortunately I never owned one. I could now....
