Even though that was the top of the line for the full-size Chevy that year, it really doesn’t look particularly posh inside. I like the green though.

I had a 1979ish "downsized" Caprice. I probably told this story before (but I am old, so allowed to repeat them!) but all I had driven up to that point was a Volvo and Beetle with manual everything, including brakes. Which you needed a "firm foot" with. First time I drove the whale, the teacher had you start at one telephone pole, and stop right at the next one. Starting was fine. When I got to the stopping point, I stomped on the brakes like I was used to doing, and just about put the front bumper on the ground (and teacher through the windshield, if not buckled in!)

I learned after that to just use 1 toe after that, not a full leg.

My driver's ed car was a nearly new Plymouth Acclaim, I think it had under 2K miles on it at the time. Not so bad, as the other car in the fleet was a Ford Fairmont, old even then, and apparently had a stalling problem.

I rather like that '83 Cutlass. Get rid of the aftermarket crap under the hood and check it carefully for original poor quality items like plastic interior trim, headliner and rear frame rails to be sure, but the 403 is a fine upgrade. Prices on nice ones are going up.

The Chevelle might be the nicest one in existence but I think it is priced at twice what it is worth.

Seller lives within driving distance of a Peugeot mechanic but didn't get it repaired? Was it the replacement cost of all those "valve stems" or all the "etcetera" which goes along with it?

Locally I found Tuffy Tire and Auto Service advertising maintenance and repair service for Peugeot.

I liked the Riviera gen right before that one. That Pinto yellow could take on one of those new tow truck LED flashing lights. The 60 Rambler American go very "squared" in 61.

It's not bad and in many ways is like a twist on Wheeler Dealers . They do 2 cars per episode instead of 1, show not much mechanical work but do tend to feature the "men in sheds" specialists in the UK who do specialized restoration work, which is fun and a part of WD I miss now, and have far less semi-scripted patter between the two principals. I'm not a huge fan of the antique dealer guy, but the car guy is pretty good.

It is much more sedate in terms of style than WD, with a veddy British narrator and no punchy music. Interesting thing I noted in the credits is that Dan Allum is listed as a consultant - he was one of the two creators of Wheeler Dealers and was involved until they sold it to Discovery and it started to go downhill. I saw the name of Victoria Noble in the credits too, who was the Discovery executive in the UK who was responsible for the episodes of Wheeler Dealers made there. Overall, I liked it.

If the engine isn't all sludged up, that F-250 seems like a deal.

I think we've seen that '63 Impala SS before, or one very much like it in similar colors.

The '68 Cutlass is in somewhat worse shape than mine was when I bought it in '93. Could be a good resto candidate though.

Fiat was probably bought for a grand at home, shipped over for $2500, and someone thinks they can find the right hipster and make a quick flip. Good luck!

My picks are the MBs and the Ford truck. I'd also like to see a 240D automatic vs I-Mark race.

the isuzu is crazy -- never seen one in the wild. that's a late-70s eaerly-80s opel kadett that i didn't even know could be had with a diesel.. in germany, i'm sure it was not available until the next model....

Unexciting color, but nice interior, quite rare 2nd to highest model with fun complex suspension and engine, condition looks excellent as these are often left to decay, lots of paperwork, sunroof and AC make it a treat with a little TLC. This might be a case where it is good I re-upped my lease, and now can't justify the expense (especially for storage).

Auctioned on BaT? I thought they did car auctions.... but what is it about that thing that makes the price tag anything resembling sane? Hell, one could custom-build those exact tools for far less than that.

These days a 300SL, even a roadster, is always a 7 figure car. Parts and accessory prices can be commensurate.

10K range perhaps. I can't imagine much more, such cars can inhale a lot of money and only carry a high price in Europe (where it might end up). It's quite rare and seems pretty nice with just a little work, but there's a limited market on this side of the pond.

The Dart - I've always wondered how a 225 drove with the Clifford (6=8 people) performance mods. Not $25.5k curious, mind you. And those wheels would be the first to go.
The RR - that's the BIGGEST SU carb I've ever seen - are there two?
The Opel GT - I've never heard of a pop out rear window, carb rebuild kit = runs terrible, and AT = sloooooow....

Had a friend years back that bought a kind of red orange Opel GT. Neat car for its time. Not sure, but I think it had sort of a backwards suspension with the leaf springs up front?

Always liked Jeep pickups looks, even going back to the early 50's. I'll throw in the Willys forward cab ones too.

The '71 Dodge D100 Adventurer was bought on BaT for $7600 2 years ago so not a huge flip premium, but enough.

I kinda sorta like that Jeep Pioneer pickup but it would need a close inspection.

The '56 Merc is real nice if you are in to '50s Fomoco stuff.

The '71 Chevelle is a clone SS and hence overpriced.

The Charger and especially the Studie Pickup are kind of scary. What used to be advertised in the newspaper as a "Body Man Special".

Dodge 880 wagon - Chrysler Newport emergency mod as the downsized Polara was tanking. Interesting from that aspect I suppose.

The Dodge wagon is my favorite from this batch. Four door hardtop wagons from are rare as they were produce for a short period of time. The price tho is a repellent.

The '57 Rebel was a single model HT 4-door ( sedan). However, Rambler did turn out a HT wagon in the Ambassador line for '58-'60.
