    Hi,

do do you have the residual and MF for a 230iX convertible 36 month 10k a year in NJ 08879

will use the AARP fleet discount (1.5k off lease) if that makes any difference.

BTW could you give me the regular MF and the MF with Max MSD?

Thanks so so much for your help

    b

    .00146 MF and 58% residual

    7 X .00007 = .00049 reduction = .00097 MF

    kyfdx,

    Numbers, please, for a 2017 230i automatic, 10k miles, 3-year lease?

Also, do I understand correctly that the Multiple Security Deposit (MSD) program has been discontinued as of this month?

As always, thanks for your help.

Looks like this post is from the April program, that has expired.
I get about $639/mo, given the numbers posted, and assuming the only upfront money is the equity in the trade, plus the $4900 MSDs.

    For May, without MSDs

    .00150 MF and 58% residual
$673/mo, with just the $2000 equity upfront.
(Assumed the rebate is deducted from the selling price, and that 1st payment + title/registration fee add up to about $1000)
You have the fees switched. The $925 is the acquisition fee.
The $695 is a dealer fee. Technically negotiable, but usually easier to work on a lower selling price, to make up for it.

Hi, I'd appreciate the numbers for an M240 AWD Convertible, 36mo, 12k.

Also, does anyone have thoughts on how to handle the fact that BMW is holding delivery of convertibles due to a parts shortage? My car has already been at the port for a month with no ETA.

    Thanks

What would you like to see happen? You can wait, or you can cancel your order - those are the only choice I really see.

I have a Canadian friend who ordered a new Mercedes last summer - it sat at the port in Halifax for months while MB and the Canadian gov't wrangled over some emissions issue. He just got his car a month or so ago.

Hey guys, ready to make a deal on a custom ordered m240i.....I have had so many issues with tires/wheels (roads here are like a war zone) I did ask to pay for the listed tire/wheel ins. My past two BMW's I'd had to replace at least 3 wheels and 6 tires each!

Let me know if you see any red flags...MF and fees looks clean based on what I've read in the forum. I don't see any incentives I'd currently qualify for either.....

    The calculations are correct.
I think I'd learn to avoid potholes for $80/mo. (or, at least take my chances)

Indeed thanks for confirming the math was good here kyfdx!

I lived in Las Vegas with my first BMW....a very nice 335i with sport low profile tires and beautiful wheels with no problems. Then moved to NYC where the roads were horrendous. Three rims and 6 tires later it got traded in for our 228xi which had all season RFTs. This car lived in CT where the roads are also bad....two rims and 6 tires later I am done paying out of pocket.

Our new m240i will be coming with non-RFT summer tires/18in wheels which I am very happy about. Even happier that I won't have to pay to replace them if damaged! This new car will be in New Orleans where the roads are like a third world country. Great food, great people, great city....bad roads.

You need an actual lease quote with an adjusted CAP cost.
The sales tax quoted is for a purchase.
No mention of the $925 acquisition fee
No money factor or residual disclosed

    Hi,

Could I have the current MF and RV for 10k/36mo in FL for the 230i and the M240i please?

Also, do you have any numbers, etc for leasing a CPO BMW? I imagine there is a wider range depending on MY, mileage, etc., but any guidance would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hey Michaell,

I know residual for 36/10k is 58% and MF 150.. I have 3% state tax for NC which helps a ton. Assuming 50k MSRP. Assuming max discount on MSRP is 7% (is it out of the question to ask for 8%?) Based on my lease calculator, I get $617/mo for 50k MSRP, 7% off cap cost. so I'm using adjusted cap cost of 47k. No money down. 925 acquisition fee upfront. Pay 1st month payment upfront. I have a trade in 16' Golf R DSG which I should break even on.

So question is, is my lease calculator correct?

Really appreciate your assistance on these forums, you've helped a ton over the years!

I get $614/mo plus tax, with those assumptions.

What's the worst that could happen if you ask for 8% off sticker?

This might be a strange question to ask, but it's the situation I am facing:

I currently live in NJ, and own a Lexus. In September I am relocating to Chicago for work. I am hoping to get rid of the Lexus, and then get a lease deal on a 2017 M240i in Chicago. In terms of selling and then leasing, should I:

    1) Contact a local dealer in NJ, to sell the Lexus as well as get a lease which will then be registered in IL? I guess this would be much easier becoz I will only be dealing with one dealer on both selling and leasing. However I won't have a permanent address in IL until I actually make the move to Chicago in September. Could registration be arranged? Will I get the benefit of lower sales tax in NJ? Or;

    2) Contact a local dealer in NJ just to sell the Lexus, in this case it probably should be a Lexus dealer? Then once I actually move to Chicago I find a local dealer there for the new lease. This way it will be two completely separate process, which I probably wouldn't have a as good selling offer as selling and leasing with a same dealer at the same time? Also the higher sales tax rate in IL will play a factor too?

Apology for the long question. Appreciate your help!

If you are moving to the City of Chicago, the lease taxes are pretty onerous - between the state of IL and the city taxes, it's something like 17% total.

And, no matter how and where you structure the deals, there isn't any way around those taxes.

You own the Lexus outright? Any reason why you wouldn't want to take it to Chicago, then just have one transaction when you get there?

If you get the BMW in NJ, you'll have to register it when you get to Chicago - at which point, you'll be subject to city and state sales tax.

And, in NJ, you'll pay the sales tax up front, and I'd think it's unlikely that you'd get a refund of that when you move.

So basically you are suggesting that i should simply take my Lexus to Chicago (i do own it), and find a BMW dealer in Chicago to both sell the Lexus and get a new lease. Since no matter where I am getting the lease there wouldn't be any way for me to get around the heavy taxes in Chicago, or even get double taxed in both NJ and IL, correct?

Since no matter where I am getting the lease there wouldn't be any way for me to get around the heavy taxes in Chicago, or even get double taxed in both NJ and IL, correct?
That is exactly what I am suggesting.
One more question: do I need to register my Lexus to IL when I take it there? Or I don't need to as long as I sell it within 30 days?
You'd have to check with the state on that. Most states require that you register within 30 days.

What is the MF and residual of a 230i coupe and M240i coupe in Northern California under 10k/36mo lease? Also any word on if BMW will bring back the MSD program? Any incentives that start after the Fourth of July?

.00150 MF and 58% residual through tomorrow.

    New program starts on Wednesday.

No info about the MSD program. I doubt it will be back.

    Thanks Michaell.

General question for you - i've seen people on other forums claiming that they are getting 13-14% off MSRP (before rebates) on vehicles like the 340i and m240i. However, most of the time I find that dealerships don't have what I am looking for and I need to place an order for a new build, in which case most of the dealerships say they will offer invoice pricing and no better (somewhere around 6-7%). Realistically, is 13-14% off MSRP that common for BMW? and should I expect a worse discount on new build orders vs. purchasing something from their existing 'new' inventory? Thanks.

Dealers will always be more motivated to sell existing inventory - there are costs associated with keeping those cars on the lot.

We've always targeted 7% off sticker for BMW - not sure how or when folks on these threads are able to get so much more of a discount.

These are the numbers I was presented with for a 2017 m240i lease...I'm in Los Angeles zip code is 91203

    MSRP: $49,230
    Sale price: $45,930
10k miles per year lease X 36 months
$1205 out of your pocket + 1500 BMW lease cash = $580.82 plus tax
    MF:.00151 (good credit)
    58% residual
    $28,553.40

    Fee breakdown:
The quote includes the $1500 lease cash. The total drive off is $2705 with $1205 coming from you.

This is the breakdown if you live in 8.75% tax cities
    $475.91 cap reduction
    $649.11 first payment
    $438 first years DMV
    $80 doc fee
    $925 bank acquisition fee
$136.98 tax on the 2 fees and cap reduction
    = $2705 drive off

Could you let me know if everything adds up and what you think

    Base MF, which is good.

Skip the cap reduction and add the acquisition fee to the selling price. Your payment will go up about $40/mo, but your out of pocket drops.

But if I'm ok with the monthly payment that everything looks good right? Nothing out of the ordinary that you can see or that I should be concerned about.

What if I'm ok with the monthly and want to keep it where it's at? Does everything else seems to be ok?

Looks good, if the tax rate is 9%

Be advised, the up front monies for the cap reduction and acquisition fee will be lost if the car is stolen or totaled.

Yeah Los Angeles tax rate is 9%. As long as everything else looks good then I'm ok. Thank you so much for your help.

What's the MF and residual value for 2017 m240i xdrive 10k/36 months? Are there any incentives now? I was browsing through the earlier posts and noticed that BMW has terminated the MSD program. :(

    Hi All,

Just looking for August numbers for 36/15 when they are available. I'm taking delivery of an M240i Saturday and just wanted to know if there is any improvement in the August program vs July which I have locked in.

    Much appreciated.
