Thanks for your help! Just got home after driving it back 200 miles. They wouldn't let me put more than 3 MSD on it. I was annoyed they wouldn't let me do more. The finance manager claimed the rate would be too low and said something along the lines of "Mercedes isn't in the business of loaning cars for free." I opted for a 12 k lease in the end. After the 3x MSD and upping to 12k, I'm right at 327$ a month. Paid $600 for a three year pre paid maintenance package. Brought him down from 1250 and just paid it up front. options on the car are fantastic and the nightfall edition is really unique. I'm thrilled. Thanks again!

How much should one expect off the MSRP on 2017's compared to the 2018's? Dealer is offering around 10.7% off, but I have seen others on this forum get upwards of 18.5% off the MSRP.
One car we are looking at, the dealer was offering this:
2017 GLA250 W4 MSRP - $46,610 (loaded, with night package) Discount - $5,000 Sales price - $41,610 36 mos. 7500 miles MF= .00088, Res $24,459, $1,500 down, Pmt $468.89 Mo.
One pay Lease [$14,635.80] plus, any sales tax and DMV fees that apply. Res,$27,499 MF 00001.
MSDs = One basis point per deposit. Mercedes will only allow (7) .00088/...MF, will change to .00039.
One pay on the 36 month, 10k lease is quoted at $16,658.64 plus tax/fees.

Pretty sure that the discount per MSD is .00007, and Mercedes allows up to 10, for a total discount of .00070. But, they are marking up the money factor on you... The base MF is .00038, without MSDs. MSDs are worth it, but you'd only need three, if you received the base money factor
.00038 MF and 59% residual for 36/7.5K
I don't have any info on the One-Pay deduction.
On your top deal, using the base money factor, I get $419/mo.+tax, with first payment and all fees due at signing.

Thanks, Kyle. Follow up questions. Wouldn't I need more than 3 MSDs. More like 5 to essentially get it down to almost 0?
Nice to know the dealer is marking up the base MF at .00088.
He also seems to be giving me a different residual value.
On the one you gave me 36/7.5k...he gave me $26,567, which is about 57%. 30/7.5k was 60%. 24/7.5k was 62%.
Any guidance on the price? Shouldn't I be able to get more off the sticker than 10-11% on a 2017?

24 month residuals are only 3% higher than 36 months. We don't have 27 month info. If you are going to lease this vehicle, stick with 36 months.
Have a couple deals I am considering, would like an opinion on them.
Both 2017's. One has miles (dealer demo) the other doesn't. Looking at either a one pay or an MSD lease.
In Florida: MSRP: 39,330 (brand new, Base) Selling price: 35330 Taxable fees (estimated): 66.50 Document fee: 695.00 Tax: 53.30 Non Tax Fee: 400.00 Net price: 36,544.80
36 month Residual: $23,204.70 MSDs: 4 MF: .00001 7.5k miles 354 per month One Pay = $15,500.10 (but on his worksheet he put tax at $2,211.89?), so the "balance" was $38,643.39. I question why he is taxing the one pay so much. Florida, I believe you are just taxed on the amount of the monthly payment or lease amount, correct? He looks like he added the $2,211 back into the one pay lease, when it should be closer to $13,400. Yes/No?
In Iowa: MSRP: 41,180 (2100 miles, 4 Matic) Cap Cost: $34,950 Sales Tax: $827.48 Dealer/State Fees: $365 Total: $36,142.48 Residual: $25,531.60 Drive Off: $1,000 7.5k miles 24 month one-pay is $11,919.56 MF: he quoted me .00039
Still awaiting numbers on the MSD and on a one pay at 36 months, 7.5k miles or 10k miles.

Assuming the Florida car is FWD, the numbers for 36/7.5 are .00039 and 59% With your prices, I get $394/mo plus tax ($14,184 plus tax); with .00001 MF, the payment drops to $371/mo plus tax ($13,356 plus tax)
For the Iowa car, the 4Matic numbers for 24/7.5 are 00038 and 62%, less the cost of the 2100 miles With your prices, I get $466/mo, but the residual doesn't seem to be adjusted for the demo miles.

So, I assume the one pay are the $13/14k plus tax. Do you know how Florida taxes their leases. I was told just on the payment. So, on a one pay how does he get to add $2,211 in tax? Florida is around 7% would the tax be 13/14k x 7%?
Doesn't look like the one-pay helps too much though. An MSD would buy it down to to a low number. Thoughts on a One Pay over an MSDx4 (he quoted $1800)

Yes, Florida taxes the monthly payment - (394 * 1.07) * 36 or (371 * 1.07) * 36
No opinions on whether one pay or MSD is better - there isn't any risk with either option.

Okay, so the FL dealers is telling me that he has a number of $442.86 per month which includes taxes.
He has it as...
36 months/7.5k miles
MSRP: 39330 Net Price: 35330 Fees: 2,256.50 (which includes $1657.67 of inception fees (what are these?) They list: Doc fee (695), Acquisition (1095), License (400), Battery (1.5), Tire (5.00) and Lease surcharge (60) Sales Tax: $53.31 Net cap cost: 38,082.67 (calculated at 35330 + 1095 + 1657.67) Residual: $23,204.70 (59%) MF: .0001 (bought down by $1800 in MSDs)
I feel like I am getting double dinged somewhere?
Should I pay the acquisition fee upfront? On his spread sheet, the payment is reduced to $382.38 with $2k down and $353.80 with $3k down.
Have a couple deals I am considering, would like an opinion on them.

Hi- Thanks for all of your help! You are an amazing resource.
I think I might have found the right deal for me, but before I agree to sales price I want to figure out how pre-existing miles affect leasing?
The 2017 GLA 250 I'm looking at has 8593 miles on it. How do these miles affect the residual of 58? Do they affect leasing in any other way?
Also- the carfax shows: 10/17 Recall #2017100005, PEND SCM GROUND, Status: Remedy Not Yet, Then 12/17 Sold in Auction to MB Dealership. Do you know much about this recall, any recommendations (ie whether I should stay away from purchase due to recall)?

There will be an adjustment to the residual, but we don't know the details for MB.
Happy Holidays! Could someone please tell me what the MF and Residual would be for a 2017 GLA 250 in SoCal on a 24/10 or 36/10 lease? Also, is the 7500 mile lease available on this model? If so, what do the numbers look like? Thanks so much!

How much should one expect off the MSRP on 2017's compared to the 2018's? Dealer is offering around 10.7% off, but I have seen others on this forum get upwards of 18.5% off the MSRP.
One car we are looking at, the dealer was offering this:
2017 GLA250 W4
MSRP - $46,610 (loaded, with night package)
Discount - $5,000
Sales price - $41,610
36 mos. 7500 miles
MF= .00088, Res $24,459, $1,500 down, Pmt $468.89 Mo.
One pay Lease [$14,635.80] plus, any sales tax and DMV fees that apply.
Res,$27,499
MF 00001.
MSDs = One basis point per deposit. Mercedes will only allow (7) .00088/...MF, will change to .00039.
One pay on the 36 month, 10k lease is quoted at $16,658.64 plus tax/fees.
Is the one-pay or multiple MSD worth it?
Thank you!

Thank you, again, Kyle!
Residual value is fixed by the bank; dealer cannot adjust it.
No price guidance.

24 month residuals are only 3% higher than 36 months. We don't have 27 month info. If you are going to lease this vehicle, stick with 36 months.

Both 2017's. One has miles (dealer demo) the other doesn't. Looking at either a one pay or an MSD lease.
In Florida:
MSRP: 39,330 (brand new, Base)
Selling price: 35330
Taxable fees (estimated): 66.50
Document fee: 695.00
Tax: 53.30
Non Tax Fee: 400.00
Net price: 36,544.80
36 month
Residual: $23,204.70
MSDs: 4
MF: .00001
7.5k miles
354 per month
One Pay = $15,500.10 (but on his worksheet he put tax at $2,211.89?), so the "balance" was $38,643.39. I question why he is taxing the one pay so much. Florida, I believe you are just taxed on the amount of the monthly payment or lease amount, correct? He looks like he added the $2,211 back into the one pay lease, when it should be closer to $13,400. Yes/No?
In Iowa:
MSRP: 41,180 (2100 miles, 4 Matic)
Cap Cost: $34,950
Sales Tax: $827.48
Dealer/State Fees: $365
Total: $36,142.48
Residual: $25,531.60
Drive Off: $1,000
7.5k miles
24 month one-pay is $11,919.56
MF: he quoted me .00039
Still awaiting numbers on the MSD and on a one pay at 36 months, 7.5k miles or 10k miles.
Thoughts? Thank you!!
Assuming the Florida car is FWD, the numbers for 36/7.5 are .00039 and 59%
With your prices, I get $394/mo plus tax ($14,184 plus tax); with .00001 MF, the payment drops to $371/mo plus tax ($13,356 plus tax)
For the Iowa car, the 4Matic numbers for 24/7.5 are 00038 and 62%, less the cost of the 2100 miles
With your prices, I get $466/mo, but the residual doesn't seem to be adjusted for the demo miles.

.00039 MF and 58%/59% residual
You'll have to check with the dealer to see if the demo is eligible for new car rates, and if so, what residual reduction for the existing mileage.

Could you let me know the MF and residual for a 2017 GLA 4matic? 36/10 lease in Ohio (43230).
Thanks!

Thanks for all of your help!
Much appreciated - Dana
