2017 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited with Ultimate package. Bay area, CA. 36 months 12/yr.
Gross Cap Cost: $34525.77 Adjusted Cap Cost: $30945.67 Residual: $18514.60 Due at lease signing: $1500 (includes first month payment & all fees)
Monthly payment: $440 including taxes.
Good deal?
.00127 MF and 52% residual. $2750 lease cash
I get $408/mo.+tax... looks pretty close. MSRP is $35,605?
I don't know how good of a deal that is, though. doesn't seem like a big discount, other than the lease cash.
Yes MSRP is $35605. Cap cost also includes $1000 for end of lease insurance.
So, without the insurance it's $410 including tax (8.5%).
I'd keep the $1000 in my pocket, and take my chances.
Without the end of lease insurance part. Is it a good deal for $410 including tax?
As my co-host noted, not a lot of discount from sticker beyond the incentives. You might take a look at the TMV pricing (use the 'make / model / year' pulldowns at the top of the page to link to the tools); there may be some more money available as a discount.

Hello! Once again, Edmunds is partnering with Parents Magazine to help families find their perfect car. If you own one of the below vehicles and have children under the age of 12, we'd love to hear what you think of it. Here's a link to the survey - please give us your thoughts no later than March 1, 2017. Thanks for your help!
Our car was totaled Toyota Camry last weekend. We are looking to lease new 2017 Limited 2.4L 12k miles yearly /36mons lease. Can we please have the MF and % residual NJ?
Do you guys think its possible for us to have $1k downpayment $200/monthly payments 36months lease? At least close to the numbers?

.00067 and 52%. $3250 lease cash.
If you can provide us with an MSRP and a selling price, we can run some numbers.
Sorry for the newbie question, but does "lease cash" mean the amount needed to seal the deal?
My mother-in-law is tired of dealing with her nasty Honda (South Florida) dealership, so after doing some research, I'm suggesting a base 2017 Sonata SE lease to her. I'm hoping that this lease offer ( https://www.hyundaiusa.com/financial-tools/special-offers.aspx ) isn't a bait & switch . According to the fine print, the MSRP quoted is $22,785 for a 36-month/12K lease with $2,200 due at pickup. In checking the local inventory, the lowest priced ones are about $400 more than that for the nonsense that they add on (cargo net, wheel locks, first aid, etc..). The promised starting monthly rate is $179. With tax and the additional $400, it should still be under $200/month, correct?
Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I'm looking to go to the dealer in Delray Beach or Deerfield Beach, FL.

Look again. The $2200 is down payment - fees and taxes are extra.
And, Florida is the center of the universe when it comes to high documentation fees - figure $500 at a minimum.
Negotiate the best selling price you can, and make sure the MF isn't marked up by the dealer.
For the 2017 SE, the 36/12 lease numbers are .00037 and 52%. $2500 lease cash, which is a factory to dealer incentive. The dealer can pass it along to you, to help with the up front costs, or to lower the selling price.
My suggestion? Limit the out of pocket cost to just the first payment and DMV costs, and add all the other fees into the payment, and use the lease cash to offset that.
I'm getting a MF of .00097 in quotes from dealers on the Limited 2.0 Turbo. Does that sound right? I realize dealers can pad the MF, but that seems really high based on the numbers provided here.

.00040 is the max markup allowed by Hyundai Motor Finance.
Confirm that the dealer is using HMF as the bank for your lease.
$3250 lease cash - which means you are getting less that $1000 off sticker. You should shoot for more - use the 'make / model / year' pull downs at the top of the page to link to the price tools.
I get $402/mo with those prices.
Ask the dealer what the adjusted cap cost is - it's possible that they are subtracting the lease cash from the selling price.
FYI: we leased '17 Sonata SE MSRP $23,075 last week with the following terms:
10K per year, 3YR lease, $135 per month with $3K down. Down payment already includes 1st month payment, license and doc fees, taxes. The dealer said cash rebate was $3,250. In addition, they offered their own discount on the vehicle. I wanted to negotiate but my numbers came out about $30 per month higher, so I immediately agreed. We love the ride.

Thank you.
.00106 MF and 55% residual. $3250 lease cash
Thank you!! Hyundai's website must be odd/wrong. It's listing something like $6,419 in offers/incentives (not counting anything that you can "checkbox" like the downpayment matching or Loyalty Owner coupons). Their website (for my zipcode) says it's offer: 2017 Hyundai Sonata PHEV Limited Special Financing
But anyway, thanks again for the info, much appreciated.

PHEV = Plug in Hybrid That isn't the model you asked about.
Any way to find out if lease cash is taxable? Since it is not a published, retail incentive, i would think it is not taxable BUT i find my local dealer lumps it into the rebate section of their lease calculator and that is taxable. Like the notorious doc fee saga, i wonder if this is a state-by-state question or a YMMV question...

Generally, incentives are subject to tax. May be a state related issue, however.

Yes, that's correct. There's a bug on Hyundai's website then (haven't checked today) but the last 2 days, if you chose a regular Sonata -> Build and Price, chose the limited model with the 2 packages, and then chose "calculate payments" it would give you the PHEV discount.
However, if you build and price, and then do "find inventory" and *then* calculate payments, it would give you the supposed correct discounts (the $3250 you mention).
Yep, bug is still there. At least with Firefox browser. Still showing the 2017 Sonata Limited with packages at about $33k MSRP but with over $6k in PHEV discounts. Unless you do the "find inventory" method and then calculate payments first.
