On the left of the 71 Pontiac sedan looks like a 73ish Buick LeSabre.
In front of that a 1973 Plymouth Fury III.

I remember when I was 18 or so, I knew a kid who had a 65 Galaxie sitting on AMC turbine wheels. Unique and not offensive look, as it wasn't a pristine stock car anyway.

Found this shot online, no context, lots of variety here:

A few of those number plates return year/make/model on the UK govt MOT checker site, but none of them are still on the road.

At first I thought the locacle must be the French or Italian Riviera but given the number of Brit cars and non -UK RHD cars I think perhaps it's southern England.

I did a GIS, apparently it is Torquay, 1984.

Newest cars I see are a few early Sierras, and 2 to the R of the Scirocco, an Audi C3. There's also an Audi C2 next to a (UK) Granada closer to the camera, and the MB is a later W114/115, the N registration suffix linked to 1974, I believe. I think the somewhat VW Type 3-ish car at far right is a Triumph 1300, behind it another Capri II. Next to the Volvo behind that Capri possibly a Renault 18.

Alfa's names are nothing if not confusing. The white Coupe is a Guilia Sprint Veloce by Bertone, the red one is a Giulietta Spider by Pininfarina, it was replace by the visually similar Giulia Spider ca. 1962.

Here's a pic from the Halifax Municipal Archives from the mid-'60s of a street I used to live close to back in the 1980s. Interesting mix of vehicles here, from the shoebox Ford to many newer models. Right click/view to enlarge.

That 'spare' on the trunk of the Valiant sure is odd, given the high priced Chryslers that also had it.

It's a 1965 Sunbeam Tiger the last gasp of Britain's Rootes Group (Sunbeam/Hillman/Humber/Riley just as it was taken over by Chrysler Corp. The Ford 289 V8 was a bit of an embarrassment for the new owners but they couldn't fit a MoPar V8 under that little hood. The Tiger was discontinued after '67.

All of us driving four banger roadsters dreamed of having V8 power and torque under the hood but the Tiger didn't sell all that well as the price was a lot higher than an MG or TR.

That example wears Minilite lookalike PanaSport alloy wheels which IIRC were standard on the Tiger.

Yup, not many people remember that Ford outsold Chevy in 1957 but now collectors want the Chevies and they cost a lot more.

The illustrated car is apparently an upscale version (two-tones/HT) but has blackwalls, very odd for that era.

Back then NY State plates would indicate which county the car was registered in, the "K" is for Kings County (AKA Brooklyn). I went to college in upstate NY and learned most of the county codes, many weren't as obvious as K for Kings. TS for example was Steuben County.

I remember that about the plates because my father was a volunteer fireman, and the company was called "Excelsior". So they somehow got plates from Essex (I think) county since the abbreviation was EX, same as they used for the fire company. Even though we did not live there.

The diner in my town has one of those parked out front. It’s an icon of the place. It used to be in large vestibule they had before one of their numerous remodels/expansions. I’m sure @stickguy and maybe even @qbrozen knows the place.

There was a restaurant in San Antonio named The Monterey, that had an old '60s era Monterey out front. They even had it wired up, so the head and taillights glowed at night. pretty cool.

I saw a Bricklin once in central London years ago - it was orange and parked in a street in Mayfair. I think it had either Canadian or US plates from memory but didn't have a camera with me and I've never seen another one.

I guessed that seaside view might be Torquay - I think I've parked in that car park many years ago - its quite a well to do place popular with older people so explains the relatively new looking cars for the time. Possibly more tourists than locals though its hard to tell.
Possibly the oldest car there is that Triumph 1300 but the most wrecked is the first generation Morris Marina with the black bonnet and the dents.
The white car to the left of it is a Renault 14 from the late 70's and I don't think I've seen one of those since about 1990.
Behind the 14 is a red Austin Allegro Estate - another rarity now - and further left is another Marina - a Mk 2 in yellow with a black vinyl roof. That is a two door and I think they only made the Marina Mk 2 as a two door for a short time before going over just to the four door and the Marina estate.
To the left of that yellow Marina is a Vauxhall Magnum and on the other side is a red Ford Granada mk 2
Beyond that Allegro is a red Morris Ital which was the face-lifted successor to the Marina - and again a rarity now as well.
And that Jeep Wagoneer would have been a surprise back then in Britain.
The four door saloon reversing out is an Opel Ascona or a related Vauxhall Cavalier - I think its the Opel version.

They were built in the adjacent province to me, in a place called New Brunswick. At the time the Premier (political head of government) was a flamboyant fellow who ran the place like his personal fiefdom, and gave Malcolm Bricklin financing to set up operations there. Unsurprisingly the company had lots of problems and not enough financing to persevere through the startup woes. It's unfortunate as the design looked good and probably held some promise if it could have had more time to develop it. Back then you could see them around here occasionally and I even recall seeing a few Bricklin signs at dealers.

The Bricklin is in my all time only seen once category here...
In some ways it resembles the story of the Delorean although I imagine the good citizens of New Brunswick were too sensible to have lost as much money on the Bricklin as our national government threw into John Z's project.
In fairness, however given the local jobs market in Northern Ireland at that troubled time it was probably impossible not to support anything investing in the province.

Good picking in Torquay, magnette. The Morris Ital has always been to me maybe the key indicator of the state of BL at the time.

The big convertible has a similar rear to a 60 Edsel , same general idea.
