I have no doubt the photo was staged, but it is a very nice shot. The '60 Ford (in white, natch) doesn't seem to have a roof light but where the fellow is standing next to the driver's door, his shadow seems to reveal some lettering on the car so perhaps it is a taxi.
Correct, though I had a red leather interior. It was a fun car (in its own way) to cruise around. I used to joke that when you 'pressed the pedal' the ole girl lifted her fender skirts and scooted.
472, still high compression, premium gas. It was originally silver with black top and red interior. I painted it black, door jambs, trunk, etc. It took me most of the summer to strip the paint, do body work, spray it with acrylic lacquer and color sand, polish it. For a first try it came out well. It wasn’t fast like cars are today but it was effortless and plenty quick. The owner of the local Cadillac dealer ordered it for his wife. It had every option except the split bench seat. The paperwork was still with the car. When I got it it needed love. I paid $800 for it in 81.

The following year I repainted my 76 Sunbird. You can see dad's 79 Eldorado in the background, and Sheeba the black lab supervising. Mom's 78 silver Olds 98 behind the painted Sunbird.

I always found it odd they made a larger Torino-sized Falcon right before axing the name - kind of a random thing, like someone didn't have a plan.
I recall seeing one of those for sale in town back when my dad had his old Fords. It appeared to be in decent shape, and cheap (probably under a grand), but my dad wasn't interested, didn't like those cars.
It looked like the hardtops were called Torino in the 1970 catalog. And the post models were called Falcons.
The Falcons were available only as post cars and as a wagon. They were real strippers, with rubber floor mats and taxicab upholstery. However you could order them with all of the performance goodies like the 429CJ engine, 4-speed, Traction-Lok, and a drag pack, which made them popular with drag racers.
The cheapest 2-door hardtop that year was a Fairlane 500, but it was trimmed and equipped a bit better than the Falcon.
A friend had a 70 Falcon 2dr in a olive green, black interior. It had the small 6, automatic, period. It was beat up, the front seat not very comfortable. I rode in it twice. What really surprised me was how soft the ride was. The suspension squeaked and groaned when turning or going over bumps. A hooptie for sure.

There was an Edsel owner convention, maybe national, but certainly a large region here in Dayton 15 years ago roughly. I would have remember the name Bermuda as a model. I've never seen one.
Nice picture of the smog (or maybe marine layer fog) at LAX in the early to mid 1960s. Should expand rather well. I'd guess there's a '60 Ford in there somewhere, but some other interesting stuff too.
Red car next to blue roadster is a first gen Healey Sprite, diminutive even compared to small MG-B. Fiat 1500 were outsold at least 10:1 compared to MG-Bs (The most successful sports roadster of the era IIRC).
That Edsel Bermuda - I should've known - I have seen one before in the Birmingham Classic Car show here in 2017... even has the woodwork too.
I remember seeing a turquoise and white Edsel sedan at the Essen car show once, but had forgotten this wagon presumably imported directly from USA rather than sold here although they did appear at the 1957 Earls Court motor show in London on a Mercury Lincoln Ford (US) stand apparently
These are lousy pictures as I had trouble with the flash that day and it was indoor in a sort of covered area
The 60 Ford is far right, four cars up above a purple (must be the smog) Camelot Lincoln Just above that Ford is one of those Classic larger Rambler sedans
Black Jag Mk X in foreground
The small tree mid picture is obscuring a Triumph Herald convertible and a little to the right of that is a dark blue Minx EDIT - actually it looks too big to be a Minx relative to the Triumph
Mid distance just beyond the left hand kiosk is a white / black Packard from about 1951/3 with that heavy chrome grille

Thanks for posting those.
Neat that the Bermuda has the inverse color pattern of the one I had found in a picture.
Also at LAX white Anglia 105 behind nearest post and left of red VW
I see a Rambler wagon - white with red roof - diagonally above that red VW
and one of those 60 Dodge Polara wagons - its light green and just above a white 60 Dodge Lancer or similar 2-door, in mid foreground
Sorry - I'll stop now - lockdown is getting me stir crazy again
My wife works with international teams, one member is in the London area. He has shared with my wife the challenge of the lock down. Sounds horrible. Best of luck and good health to you all.

55/56 Ford, two 59 Fords, a wagon and two door midline.
I see a 60 Ford, 2 door post - far right, bottom half, just above a Continental, 2 to the right of the Volvo.
Looks like a couple of the Beetles have oval windows. I see at least 2-3 61 Fords as well, including one just in front of the Jag.
Left-center, just to the right of the light pole, I see a 105E Anglia. Gotta be a fintail out there somewhere
That '60 Ford isn't white! Perhaps the also-typical Ford powder blue.
There is a yellow '62 Olds Starfire convertible at the end of the row next to the tree planter near the lamppost in middle of the shot, while to the right of that lamppost is a red with black top sports car of some sort, whose nose is pointing towards a neat-looking white over blue Chevy II 2-door hardtop. If you look closely just above that little black over red car, I think there is the rear window of another '60 Ford there.

There are several of those Hudsons and AMC models that show up at an orphan car show in our area (& Studebaker) in great shape. Mostly owned by older guys who are proud of their showpieces. This year many stayed away because of the scare. Previous year were 2 or 3 Hollywood models.

I assume a 429, right? Very little if any smog stuff, probably still had adequate power.

I do know the two door wagon was a Roundup
I had never seen one before this picture. I think it's a very stunning wagon
with the constasts and shapes considering other 1958 models.
Well, maybe when viewed from the rear, the gold stars drop off a notch...
And it's the best color combo out of many I found searching the web.
I could like this black

What the heck is that red convertible next to the MG? Odd looking trunk unless it is a trick of the light.

I also see the Ford above the black and red (Corvette?) car, definitely a 60 or 61.
I think the car near the airport building is a TR3.
