According to Wikipedia.com, last MY for the Aurora was '03, Alero ceased in 2004. The photo is deceiving in that the Alero was a bit smaller than the Aurora but appears larger due to lens curvature.
I had an 01 Aurora 4.0, with the same wheels as that one in the picture. The Aurora was a very nice car. I think the only option mine was missing was Nav. It did have the Bose system with 10 disc changer mounted in the trunk.

I can’t identify them, but you could crank-start them.
Not neccessarily, my '66 Triumph had a hole where a crank might go but no provision for cranking. The TR-2 could be crank started and a crank was included in the tool kit but for some reason the TR3 and 4 kept the holes but not the crank. It disappeared on the TR-250/TR-5.
I can't quite place that one. It's a Post WWII austerity car from Europe, french or German? The open hood belonging to the car behind appears at first glance to be an open sunroof.
@andys120 The red and blue cars are by Pegaso - the model was Z102 I think. Seriously desirable motors... I can't recall ever seeing one on the road but have seen a coupe at Essen Classic Motor show I think Pegaso were the main producers of trucks for Spain right through to the 90's, and also coaches.
The little white car is a Fiat 500 Topolino. Production started pre war, but they made these until the late 40's in this form and then steadily updated the front appearance until the early 50's. Nearly identical cars were made in France by Simca (Cinq) and assembled also in Germany after WW2 as the "Neckar Fiat' 500 with different badges.
Regarding cranking cars my Magnette has a "Starting Handle" as we know it here but no hole in the grille - instead it is necessay to lift up the bonnet which reveals the hole below the actual radiator. It is a long time since I've used it to actually start the car but if it is left for weeks then i have always turned the engine over with the handle for a couple of cycles to get the oil moving before pressing the starter button - always did the same with my Morris Minor too - it helps reduce draining the battery and there is less wear on the starter too.

Yup, they're 1953 Pegaso Z-102s. i'm not sure who was the coachbuilder but I think maybe Touring.
1951 Nash Ambassador Airflyte They had reclining front seats, a bed option (standard on 2-door), disappearing rear armrest, rear lighters and ashtrays, and other upscale offerings. Very innovative. I remember a saleslady who went farm-to-farm in the country selling something, like the Fuller Brush salemen used to do, who had one.
Yes, its a Nissan March /Micra but with a boot / trunk - not a model I've ever seen - but it is actually a bit different as ths one isn't in Japan either. It is based on the March K11 hatchback It is a model which I think was offered only (?) in Taiwan as the Nissan March Cubic and was sold in this form while the subsequent Nissan March K12 was never offered in Taiwan.
This is obviously the exit of one of the bridges of NY City ca. 1950, I can't tell which one. The two yellow/red cabs are most likely DeSotos. Most NY cabs of the era were either DeSotos or Checkers. There is a green/white Checker to the right rear. Some Packards were built to special specs for cab service in NYC. Of special interest: a three-wheel M/C delivery rig on left and big trucks of various makes none of which I can ID. Note the big US Mail rig in olive drab. Back then mail boxes and mail delivery rigs all used O.D. Mailboxes went blue in the 1950s and I don't think they've been painted since! My favorite trucks of the era were the big chain-drive Macks that delivered coal (can you believe it coal-showing my age!) Unfortunately none are visible. Oldest car is probably the brownish/taupe coupe on left near the trike, it may be prewar.
Having a family member with 30 years in the USPS, I report........ The olive drab green paint used was from the many leftover gallons of US Army paint from WWII. The United States Postal Service came into existence on July 1, 1971. The mail drop boxes were then painted all blue.
Both the RF fender and the hood look different from the rest of the car.
I found info on this. The hood and front fenders of a '51 blue Nash were not painted with the rest of the car but were painted at a different time and place. After many years, this observed phenomenon has come about of the front end's paint fading differently than the paint on the rest of the car.
I could never convince my parents that I really needed a "motorcycle jacket". That three-wheeler was likely used by a messenger service of some kind. I think the mail truck sand the box truck behind it might be an International and the red-cab truckon the right looks like a Diamond-Reo

Wow, that's interesting. I never would have guessed that!
Two 1950-ish Packards on the furthest row of that pic. As for the trike, it could be a Harley Servi-Car trike converted for delivery, I haven't found a pic of one

@fintail Yes it was sold in India - apparently it's a Sipani Dolphin, assembled in India from Reliant components initially although think they literally moulded the body shells there as well About 1800 were assembled and sold in India in 1982-5
Yes, that Ford Popular103E was the cheapest four wheeled car on sale in Britain from 1953 and was still on sale until early 1959. It was devoid of most normal fittings - indicators were not a standard fitting until the later years (it was not a legal requirement until I think 1957) so the driver would have had to use hand signals, there was only one windscreen wiper (you can see that this car only has one) and obviously you wouldn't get a heater or demister, nor windscreen washers. All the above would have been available as extras and they did sell more with them fitted particularly the other wiper and maybe the washers. Austerity motoring...

Any idea what the little 3-wheeler parked at the curb might have been used for?
