Your 34- 35 Fords looked a load flashier than ours did.
Also larger and faster. You guys did get the Pilot, which IIRC could be had with a very small V8 and much resembled a 35-36 US Ford, but was sold there until arouns 1950 IIRC. There was also V8 Euro specific Fords (German Type 48, Matford) in the 30s.
Yes, the Matford evolved into the Ford Vedette which in turn became the Simca Vedette / Versailles etc.
Much like the prewar US Ford V8 the Ford Pilot here was the usual vehicle of choice for villains - at least in films - until the Jag Mk I &2 arrived later
Given the police generally drove Wolseleys they probably had the advantage although the Pilot was not particularly agile.
red Firebird looks like a '67. and down that row beyond the early Falcon wagon, is I think a MB. Assumed it is a Fintail, but trying to blow up the picture (my resolution is not great) second guessing that. Shape almost looks like a Ponton but the grill seems wrong. So I don't know!
Green 2 door in front of the Firebird is a Mopar. Kinda looks like Andre's Desoto.
The red Firebird is a 68. The 67 had vent windows and the turn signal/ parking lights in the front valance panel were flat. The 68 had ones that wrapped around the corner to act as a side marker light that was mandated for 68.
Mixed bag of imported and domestic ca rs in this old photo>
I'll call the dark blue '64 Catalina behind the little woodie. There's another one going out of frame at bottom. One of those was our family car back then.
We've seen that pic here before. It is a mid-1960s shot of Toronto. Note that the Pontiacs are not actually Pontiacs but GM of Canada Cheviacs, i.e. Pontiac bodies on Chevy chassis with Chevy engines. Not Wide-Track Pontiacs and certainly no models named Catalina or Bonneville either. The playboy in the '65 convertible is driving a Custom Sport as it was called here, the only '65 to receive that grille. But ordering one of those would still saddle you with the Chevy 230 6-cyl unless you optioned up. 119" wheelbase and not the 121" the Catalina had. The '64 could be a Parisienne or a Laurentian or a Strato-Chief, corresponding to Impala, Bel Air and Biscayne. Custom Sport guy should try to get the attention of the sporty lady behind the wheel of the MGA.
Granada at bottom right would have been fairly new. I notice the yellow Beetle at upper left appears to have a custom half vinyl top.
In 1976, I think my parents had a 70 Mustang and a 70 Beetle that I believe by that time had a Porsche 912 engine - my mom didn't get her T-Bird for a few more years.
I'll take the Azure Blue 1970 Olds Cutlass Supreme upper right as there is an emblem on the lower fender that looks like it could be a SX model, so it would have a 455. That non-metallic pastel blue is one of my favorite paint colors.
Also I spot what I think is an International Scout Traveler in the foreground in front of the LTD coupe with the people leaning on it, which was quite uncommon even then.
Yes, and that is a nice color too. That's a Sport Sportsroof (awkward nomenclature) which could have had anything under the hood from a 302 to a 2-bbl 429. I like the styling of those although it's really a shame the front end design was one-year only and got ruined the next year.
Far bottom left next to the Granada appears to be a T-Bird or Mark IV, I guess that was a pretty nice car to have in 1976. Scanning the lot for something cool like a period MB or a clamshell wagon or something, nope. There is a neat Pinto woody in the back area.

I *think* there might be a clamshell wagon in the upper lot, on the left, behind and to the left of the red Wagoneer. A few Mopar fuselage cars too, a Chrysler 2-door, and a'73 Plymouth wagon. A Hornet Sportabout on the right side of the upper lot as well.
The red and white 71 Pontiac Catalina 2dr with Rallye wheels is like dad’s 71 company car though his was dark metallic brown with a darker brown vinyl top.

Close but not a dead ringer IMO.

Quad hooded headlights, large singular letter badge spanning the front and a ton of brightwork under the hood.
Lots in common there if you ask me! 🙂

Two tone 55 Chevy in front of the big red truck.
59 Chevy, MGB, Renault Dauphine, Beetle, several Pontiacs, Falcon. Strangely, I don’t see a 60 Ford!
MG is an A, not a B.
Woodie is a traveler I think
