An interesting fact about those 1959 Canadian Pontiacs, they were not "Wide-Track". They were built upon a Chevy Impala chassis! Note how deep in the front wheel and tire is.

There is a not-often-seen ‘59(?) Mercury in the background.

Would a 59 Mercury be a Monarch at that time?

Could be either in Canada. For ‘59 they were very similar except for badging and minor trim.

    I'm not sure it's a Merc. Possibly a 1960.

I learned to drive on the family's '59 Monterey so I'm quite familiar w the styling. " 59 and '60 roof lines are identical but note that on the fender there's a small shadow under the chrome strip which iindicates a 1960
model and wasn't visible on the '59.

Actually it has eight which just goes to show there's an exception to every rule.

Yep, it's a 1952 Willys Jeep pickup. I once drove a borrowed one with a couple of friends from NY to Montreal and back with a side trip to the Gaspe peninsula and the Maritimes. An adventure!

I have a good friend with a Willys wagon; he's built that thing from the ground up, for the most part, and is still using all original or originally available parts for it. He built a pickup like this for his sister a couple decades ago and put a 318 in it. That powerplant made the truck quite spunky. Sadly, she sold it a while back after living with the impracticality of having such a toy in the big city (she lives in the DC area).

I think the brown Mustang is a 1968. There aren't any "ridges" in the side recess.

You are probably right, if i enlarge the image I can make out a side marker in the rear fender(but I can't see one up front?)

An early/mid 60's black Lincoln parked on the street to the right of the picture.
Someone who could be dressed in a chauffers' uniform standing near it on the sidewalk.

Went to a VW/Audi show in 2021. About a dozen Karmann Ghias. Some were really amazing. 🙂

MY1974, last year for the K-G which began production in 1955. Biggest visual difference is the size of the bumpers.

the Corvette has to be at least a 64.

I can't figure out what the sporty looking blue car is mid-block, behind a ped x-ing.

Yep 60 Ford Galaxie, I suspect a 2 door. And a nice little Lark at right.

What makes the WHDH pic extra cool is the guy up on the transmitter tower. Must have had a loose cable. :D
