I'd say pay as much as needed to get it. Because in 2022 it's gonna be really rare based on how seldom they show up at cruise-ins and car shows here in the midwest.
However, the 56 Buick Special or Super on the end may also be rare. I don't recall seeing a 55 or 56 Buick at a cruise-in or car show. It's not a Roadmaster because the sweepspear doesn't have the unique shape for the Roadmasters.
Maybe a block and a half back, middle, turning towards the camera, appears to be a yellow Jaguar XJ-S. That with the Granadas makes this 1975 at the oldest.
And that might be Rockford behind the van in the center of the picture.

The model names of the GM compact generation introduced in 1960 did not survive the decade IIRC. When introduced in 1964 the original GTO was a 1964 Pontiac Tempest LeMans/GTO Option.
Lower right corner is a Two-tone 54-ish Ford with a glass roof section. I forget what they called those. Further in (next to a black Beetle) is what appears to be a blue Hillman Husky. Can be enlarged.
I think the newest car visible may be the black '59 Ford in the front row.

That wagon coming up the street sure looks like 1960+
The 54 Ford is a Crestline Skyliner. A 49/51 Ford, several 52/54 Fords, couple of 55/56 Fords, a 59 Ford, 60 Ford already mentioned. At least a couple of 57 Chevys.
Wagon driving at right towards the camera maybe a Mercury of some sort, 62 or so?
I think I see a white 61 Olds (convertible?) at somewhat upper left next to a red and white finned car, and two rows ahead of that, to the right next to the aisle, what looks like a dark 61 Chevy, maybe also a convertible.
Far upper middle near the cross street with the brick building, in the last aisle, is something tiny, like Fiat 500 sized at most (there also may be a red 61 Chevy convertible on the street next to that brick building, facing left)/
I see 2 '61 Chevy's, wagon driving on the street and a black convertible at the right end of the left to right row about even with the guy about to cross the street in front of the Plymouth.

The car on its right is a Rambler American that is at least a 61. Also, if you follow down from the American to the next row, the black car parked In the right stall looks to be a Ford Fairlane intermediate, which makes it no earlier than 62.

Good catch. I had one of those bought used in 1963 or so.
I wonder if the intermediate Fairlane was introduced early before the usual fall dates, which is why there seems to be only one 1962 model found in those hundreds of cars?

At first glance one might think there is something missing from behind the rear wheel, but no. I think it is an odd idea from GM.

Pretty good sense of humor.
My parents had a 1962. The thing rusted out badly.

Was GM trying to make Tempest into a sub-brand? Or was that just advertising?

61 appears to be the newest cars in the pic. Surprising amount of convertibles given the location, but I guess they were more popular then.
