IMO best looking full sized domestic care from the 60s.
You know, Stick, I do believe I agree with you. I may be reliving a teenage experience; the dad of one of my friends showed up in a 66 LTD, dark blue with a black vinyl roof, blue ribbed cloth interior. I was gobsmacked. The only thing I second-guessed him on was he got a 390 instead of the more appropriate 428. Anyway, I have always thought that the 66 Ford was very attractive.

Yes, it's odd - I didn't like the '65 Ford styling at all, but the '66 was just so much better even though it was pretty much the same car underneath. Then they made the '67 more fussy-looking and took a step back. The '68 went in a different direction and the LTD looked better but the lower-line models looked worse.
Andy your blue car is a Sunbeam Talbot d h c - it could be either the 80 or the 90 model but as it was exported it is more likely the 90.
It has a registration plate indicating it was temporarily registered here, as the code QJ was for "temporary" circulation in the UK
Generally people would come to Britain, buy a car and tour here, and indeed in Europe too, and then when they returned home the car went with them.
Frequently that was by liner so it may have got across the pond at the same time as it's then owner.
This process pretty much ended when jet travel started apart from the special arrangements used by returning US or Canadian service personnel who got their stuff shipped too.
The advantage, of course, was the fairly hefty post-war tax on cars here would not apply if they shipped it abroad.
Ah, the Bricklin. My dad had a deposit on one, my teenage eye thought it was the coolest looking thing... When the first one came into the dealer, we went to give it a look, white, IIRC. The fit and finish were so glaringly poor that dad cancelled his order immediately. I didn't care, it looked so cool and, of course, the gullwing doors! Obviously, the cooler head of my father was the proper decision maker.

That's right, it's a '53 Sunbeam-Talbot 90. I had a Dinky Toy of one.
With the Bricklin, next to the GTO is a 77-78 Trans Am. I think the black one next to it, with the gold hood stripes may be the Hurst Edition Trans Am. Not many of them were made.
1969, Pekin, IL. The showroom floor must have lots of rebar to reinforce it for all of that heavy iron. I find commercial retail buildings in this arched-roof style very appealing. Pic expands well.
I think this is a 1960 Buick. Had to do lots of lookin' up. I found examples of the 1960 Buicks having the letters "BUICK" on the trunk along with the circular logo above it, and this matches. The 1959 Buicks had Buick below the chrome trim on the trunk and had a large V shape on the trunk.

I'll call the 72 Gran Torino Sport facing the Mazda, get off my lawn.
Interesting smaller car at far right with illuminated brake lights, maybe a Datsun 610/710 coupe or something.

I’m not a fan of that whole generation of GM intermediate 4-doors. What looked good with two didn’t look nearly as good with four.
