What a disappointment the Fox-based T-birds must have been to those who liked the disco version.
I once saw a line something like "they couldn't build the 77-79s fast enough, and couldn't sell the 80-82s fast enough". Maybe the weak economy was part of it along with the polarizing styling, but to be fair, there seems to be plenty of Fox Birds out there, so either they held up well or sold ok enough or both.

I didn't find the upper trim levels so bad and those with the handling package and TRX tires had some appeal. The 83 version was certainly better.

Wiki says the ‘77-79 sold 955,000 over 3 years, and the ‘80-‘82 sold 288,000.

I saw one on a low mileage or malaise car site that had the wheels, definite improvement over wire caps. Did all of these have a digital dash standard?
So many I see are a little bland with half vinyl tops and weak engines, but I suppose on that platform, something can be done to help.

Amazing to think about, 300K+ units per year average for a moderately priced coupe.
The car of choice for Sam Spade in “Monsieur Spade”. He’s trying to retire in rural France in the ‘50s, it things get very complicated. Lots of good French cars.
I see the apparent Accord at lower L too - must have been a rare sight there, that style was MY 1982 launch in the USDM anyway. Further up that row I see a C3 Audi 100, which launched in late 1982, several beyond that a dark colored apparent BMW E28 which launched late 1981, and just beyond that in the next row a few cars back, maybe a BMW E30, which was a late 1982 launch. I see no MBs newer than W123.
Does a Jag E -Type ever really look out of place?!

Jonny Smith a.k.a. The Late Brake Show on YT recently did a segment on something I had never heard of before, the Citroen Safari which was a 4WD 2CV they built in small quantities in the early ‘60s. It carried its spare tire on top of the hood like an old Army Jeep.
I'll take a discounted price on that red 56 Nomad, blue and white 56 Mercury convertible at far L, the 56 Fairlane HT pulling out, and maybe even the black 57 Chevy HT or the red and white 54 Mercury HT at front. Nice lineup of cars, the kind of material that made so many 53-54s look old fast.

Couple of Bugs and a BMW.
Late gen 1 GTI with the “P” for Pirelli wheels front right.
Maybe a next Gen tan Golf parked just beyond the tree?

At least four 55 Fords, a 49/50 Ford, a 57 Chevy
Don’t see a 56 Ford. If you meant the white and yellow Ford Fairlane, it’s a 55 not a 56.
Fintail, you meant 55, not 56, right.
