    I think it is a E34 M5 but it could be a E28 M5 I just can't tell.

Oh man I never would have got that. I can't tell the difference between those two just from the engine.

    Looks like a GAZ Volga

The Ferrari is a 1st gen 456, as opposed to the 456M.

Mr Bean, Rowan Atkinson, bought a dark green, manual 456 with raspberry red hides a decade ago.

He chronicled his purchase in an old CAR magazine I (still ;) ) have.

    Yep, it's a 1959 GAZ M21 Volga.

    Actually...

The engine is from a Cinnabar US-Spec M6. It's an S38B35. The car you pictured is a Euro-Spec M635csi which used the M88/3 engine. The M635csi was only called the M6 in North America.

The visual giveaway is that the S38 uses a different cam cover which says "BMW M POWER" and the Euro M883 has the BMW Roundel badge followed by "M POWER". Since the US engine used a double-row timing chain, the valve cover was a tad longer.

I own an 88 M5... and just sort of sold an 87 M6, I know em well ;)
  • im_brentwoodim_brentwood Member Posts: 4,883
Yep, original 456GT, not the M (M= Modificato I think.. Italian for Modified).

L registration on the British plate is a giveaway... L reg was 8/1/93-7/31/94 so an early one too.

Beautiful car and picure. Look at the simplicity of not having 50 buttons on the dash...

1963 Thunderbird. Yes, I knew it was a Thunderbird from the hood scoop and the ridgelines on the fender edges with the chrome on top ala 1960 Ford--not from the dash label "Thunderbird.". The chrome rolling over the front end of the car was 2nd clue. I can't recall any other car that had that other than 1960 Ford and (Edsel and Mercury?).

You seen to know these cars but you missed the faired headrests visible on the bottom of the picture, the headrest fairing over the back seats make it a '63 Thunderbird Sports Roadster ;)

Thanks for explaining. I did miss those. I don't recall that model--but I always loved T-Birds. I appreciate the pictures you come up with, andys120.

I'd recommend using the Microsoft Disk Cleanup that's in Programs | Accessories | System Tools to get rid of a lot of files that hang around on your hard driveafter they're not needed. There are stronger cleanup tools available.

It's not really a separate "model". It was a series of bolt-on stuff for the T-Bird that you ordered on the option list. For this reason, most of these "roadsters" are counterfeit. You need something like a Marti Report to verify that it was factory built.

You're welcome, here's another look at the Sports Roadster option>

    image

Note that in addition to the removable Tonneau, Sports Roadsters wore a set of Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels. This option was a gimmick to recapture the spirit of the two-seater T-Birds.

That was just a glaze-over... I mean, there are substantial differences, like the size of the valve shims.. ;)

Skoda Fabia... the new wagon, think they call it a Combi.

Still looks like a Toyota tho.

You can tell the SWB because there are no foot rests.

On the longer Pullmans, the BACK seat was electric, too...no, wait...actually HYDRAULIC!

    1979-1981 Dodge Magnum (Brazil)

Correctamundo! The Magnum was essentially a rebadged Dart with an altered fiberglass nose and some trim changes the illustrated car is 318 powered.

    nice shade of blue!

    2nd generation Camaro. I will guess a 1970 or '71.

2020 Acura RDX tech SH-AWD, 2023 Maverick hybrid Lariat luxury package.

  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,673
Yup, it's a '70 Camaro. I'm struck by how nice the dash and instrument panel looks. The seats look pretty flat and unsupportive tho.

MB C126, of indeterminate model as it is a UK car and they got 3 versions during the time this one was made. By the trim (and the plate) this one is ca. 1986, so it is a 420/500/560SEC.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,673
