Gave me a chance to revisit the Caravelle, Eurovan. Transporters and the Touran. I still wish VW had gone forward with the concept Microbus.
It looks like the Chinese and JDM cars do not have all the oddball names. :P

Going...going....

Yeah it is an Aussie Valiant, but it's badged as a DeSoto Rebel. It's a '63, so the DeSoto name survived in Oz for at least two more years more than
in the USA.

Chrysler also used the name on trucks in some export models for awhile, and even to this day, there's a DeSoto heavy duty truck sold in Turkey, IIRC. I don't think it has any affiliation with Chrysler, though.

IIRC, the top went down, but the windows had frames around them, and that little glass spacer where the B-pillar would normally be was staionary. Although you could probably remove it with a wrench or screwdriver.
OK Kiddies.. what's this?
Any ideas?
Manhattan. Check out the wire wheels (probably an option made by Kelsey Hayes). '51 Was the last year for Frazer sales.

Second one... well.. it's also quasi related to Mazda but not a JDM car.
I definitely recognize that thing as a Mopar of early 70's vintage. It makes me think of those Aussie Valiants and Chargers, which were their version of the A-body Valiant/Duster. But it looks smaller. But then it looks too big to be based on any captive import that Mopar ever brought here in the 70's. So I give up! :confuse:

What gives? The car in question appears to be in Australia. :confuse:
I'm not gonna say what it is, but here's another clue, although a vague one. Y'know the phrase Dodge has been using... "Yeah, it's got a Hemi"? Well, it applies to this car, too! Or can, if optionally equipped. :P

The second one is a Brazilian Ford Corcel.

Basically a 2+2 Daytona... excellent cars, Daytona Performance for a fraction of the price of a 365 GTB4 Daytona.

Yeah, and the Hemi that you could get with them was a 245 CID straight six. I imagine it was pretty quick in a fairly small car like that.

That's certainly a Fintail but I don't think the white car is a Renault, certainly not a Dauphine. It's a Simca 1000 or 1100 ca. mid-60s.
