You were 99.9% correct so I'm giving it to you. I'm impressed. To be totally anal about it, it's called a 220B Cabriolet. The 220A is worth a lot more because it doesn't have a back seat and has much less awkward styling.
The early 50s 220s combined pre-war styling with postwar technology. Mine ran well (even with the Holley carburator someone put on it, but it was so badly rusted I got quite discouraged. I did patch it up (no doubt to the future restorer's regret) but even way back when I owned it, parts and restoration costs were very high. The convertible top alone would cost someone at least $3,000--$5,000 I bet, what with double padding, complete extra headliner, and carefully steamed basswood bows threaded through the fabric. To say nothing of trying to restore actual working chromed landau bars. Then of course we'd need a full leather interior, interior wood refinishing and a body-off restoration of the frame.
It's a car you rarely spot anymore. As rare as a rare muscle car, and worth a lot less.
Ah...Cabriolet B etc must be prewar terminology. Sounds typical to most MB sedans and coupes - unless it is a really good survivor, it isn't a financially sound idea to restore it. I will say it is good that some people act outside of financial responsibility.
It is a 1952. And it's a Courier, the first to have the name "Courier" in a long line of "Courier" Fords. Search for Courier and Ford... there's a forum so I can't link to it per rules here.
I searched Google and Wikipedia and came up with no links to any pre 1970's Ford. Most steer you to a current model Aussie Ford resembling the Ranger but with a longer cab. :confuse:
That's a nice '56 Bel Air in the background of your rear shot.
Car on the far left is a late 80s Saab 900, car in foreground right is a Rolls Corniche ca. 80s, a Ferrari Daytona (or copy) ca. 1970 is next to it, followed by an Italian looking car I can't quite get, and a 1958 Caddy.
Pretty good except I think the Roller is a Silver Shadow (70s and early 80s), those being a lot more common than Corniches.. The Italian-looking car (dark blue) is a Ferrari 250 GTE (AKA 2+2).
The Saab 'vert is a 900 Turbo, I can see the badge in the right front side of the grille.
Good eye on the French plates, the still is from an obscure French movie.
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's a Buick Nailhead 324? That's without looking up any displacements in any book.
It's definitely not a Chrysler engine. Chrysler didn't make a V-8 with valve covers that small until maybe the 1958 350/361 "B" engine. Everything before that was either a Hemi-head, which was mammoth, or a poly-head, which was still pretty big, with sort of a jagged sawtooth shape on the outer part of the valve cover.
It's a slant six for sure, but I think it's from something older than a '69 Dart. All that heater crap is actually housed within the passenger compartment, behind the firewall in the 67+ Dart/Valiant, as opposed to being plastic-encased and under the hood. That almost looks more like how the heater components are on my DeSoto.
So I'm gonna say it's something older, like a '62 Dart or Polara?
Shifty is closest and it's a 1960 Valiant. I had pictures of chevron chrome stipes on the rear tailfin so I believe that made it a V-200? If I read Wiki correctly that motor is a 170 cu in.

I saw one the other day, but my view was of the back end..
