Early-50s Chevy pickup with the longbed. I think you have to see the front to nail down the year. Stuff in the background is a last-gen C-class, some Jaguar convertible, and a current-gen Yukon.
I knew a guy over in the San Luis Obispo area who had a similar looking truck in navy blue, but it had Mercedes badges all over it, right down to the steering wheel logo. Must have been a one-off mod.
Same here. There was a guy restoring one near my house. I saw it at several stages. He fixed up the body, sanded, primed, and painted it himself.
It wasn't the best work, but I still found it fascinating. Let's see...I must have been 11 years old, maybe younger, that's when we moved away from that house.
74 was the first year for the X 1/9, and it had unique bumpers that year, offering virtually no protection, but they sure looked good.
The revised bumper standards in 75 resulted in the demise of a number of low production cars. The X 1/9 shown here is at least a 75 model. I recall those wheels, but can't remember the exact years they were offered.
The final cars were 1988 models, with 200 or so being imported. Many think 87 was the last year. I wonder if the local 88 is still around here.

When you say "sports car" that's pretty much the exact picture that pops in my head, even that black cover.
Yep, the louvres are the giveaway that it's a Healey 100M. I don't know if it's a fake or not.

Yup, to be precise it's from a '72 Miura S. IIRC the Miura is the only road car to ever to use a transverse mounted V12.

1968 Plymouth Barracuda notchback (much lighter than the fastback), 1968 Plymouth Fury III 'sportback', and a 1965 Chevy 'vert.
It looks like this '68>
The Plymouth Sport Fury is also a '68 but the 'Cuda is a '69.

Actually that's a Chrysler Sebring convertible. On the right side of the picture are various used cars including a Honda Civic and a Kia Optima.

One of my favorites as a kid.

Very cool early car experience. :shades:
Good eye, you guys. I was hoping the RHD would trick somebody into saying it was a TVR or a Triumph.:P
As for the bumpers, with 50% or more of them going to the USA, Fiat might have decided to Standardize bumpers meeting Federal specs.

Loved the "wedge" shot btw. That was a big deal when Fiat introduced that model in the states.
