LOL, they are one of each. Dodge Aspen on the left and Plymouth Volare on the right ca. 1977.

Don't know the specific model, but looks to be a 50's version.
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,672
Perhaps someone can be more specific.

    Now you're talking, it's the original Saab automobile- a 1952 Saab 92.
The Saab 90 and 91 were jets.

    Here's a nice old Alfa (I figured you'd guess that part :P )=>

That old Saab is cool - suicide doors

    The Alfa...I'll guess...an 1800
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,672
    Pretty close it's a 1957 Alfa 2000 Spider.

Maybe a '61 or so. Bigger than the Giuletta / Giulia Spiders, with a cast iron 2 liter and a back seat. There were also coupes and sedans on this same platform, which was also the basis for the 6 cyl. 2600 cars. Nice cars, but when you've got a little sister as gorgeous as Giulietta you don't get much attention.

Willys station wagon, probably 1950, probably 2WD.
  • navigator89navigator89 Member Posts: 1,080
Don't really know the manufacturer, possibly a 1950s Jeep?
  • jaserbjaserb Member Posts: 820
I think they were made from '58-'62. No '57 Touring Spiders.

It's a '55, dunno how many driven wheels, they pretty much looked the same right
    into the 1960s IIRC.

Toyota Fortuner sold in Asia. It looks like it's either similar in styling to the Lexus RX300 or it shares many body panels with it.

So is this Toyota supposed bring fortune to the owners or is it made for tuner guys to soup it up :P

You see this a lot in European cars from the 50s. What it means is that the car was debuted in an auto show in 1957 but not really produced and sold and registered as such until 1958. You probably will never find a registered 1957, but maybe a pre-production model over in Italy-----could be.

It's an Austin or Morris from the late 70's, perhaps a princess or Vanden Plas.

VW Iltis, but not the straight military version.
Actually, it looks like a one-off cross between a first-gen Golf and the Iltis.
    Not phenomenal,

Fortuner looks a whole lot more interesting than the dull Highlander, they should use that design here.

That Sera is also cute. Reminds me of the NX2000 T-top. Except the whole door comes up instead!

    Renault something...14?
  • oregonboyoregonboy Member Posts: 1,650
Renault 16... 1969-71 or so. This example has euro-headlights.

I owned a '69 for about a year during the first OPEC embargo. It got good mileage, but it was just too French for me. It was the illogical, idiosyncratic, contrary nature of the design that drove me NUTS.

My '74 Spider was built in September of 74, arrived at the dealer in October, and wasn't actually sold until July of '75. But it's definitely a '74. I don't think Alfa ever worried much about the model year.

But for anybody who's interested, here are the production numbers for the 102 / 106 series Alfas:

    250GT SWB.......yum.....
  • andys120andys120 Member Posts: 23,672
Thas' right, Shifty. Sorry to be picky, Fin, it's not based on a 250 it's The 250. The 250GT SWB (Short Wheelbase Berlinetta) epitomized the "drive-to-track-win-race-
drive-home" spirit of racing in the late 50s and early 60s. It was the most widely produced Ferrari 250 variant and to this day is the car I think of first when I hear the name Ferrari.

If it were an American version, I'd say it was a 1967 BMW 1600. Later models had headrests and protruding turn signals. The 2002 had a blacked-out grill.

This example looks very much like my first car, except mine was gray.

Right it's a 1602, not sure of the year. IIRC they were known in this country as BMW 1600s.
