As usual, I could be wrong, but I bought a '70 Corona new, and as I recall, it did not look like this! I believe this is a '69. The '70 did not have front vent windows, the front end was different, etc.
Looks like a '55 Chevy Conv, '53 ford, '54 Buick, another '55 Chevy, and further back another Chevy, an Olds, another Ford, a Mopar, and way back maybe a '50 Ford....
The white Chrysler on the right looks like a '56. That is the newest model I see, which sets the early end of the time frame for the picture. Anyone see anything newer?

Nope the picture was taken in '56 but it's odd how many '55 Chebbies show up. It appears that the top on that two-tone Bel Air 'vert already looks worn and discolored. I'd pitch a fit if I had a top look that bad in just a year.
I think the big truck is a GMC, or possibly a Chevy.
I recall GM ragtops always being chintzier than its competitors. Did you ever notice how they'd bubble up during fast driving? They weren't as taut as Ford or Chrysler tops.
57 Ford's were very cleanly designed cars inside and out. I thought they all looked good; sedans, hardtops, even wagons that year. As I recall though, they had a bad case of tinworm which may have helped the 57 Chevy become such a popular used car down the road.
NO! No! Put it away! One of the nastiest mistakes ever made. You are an Italian auto maker, have a sweet engine and are fabulous at making spirited cars with shocking build quality. So you go to a Japanese manufacturer with a proposition that they should design the car and you will build it.
You inherit the nasty Nissan Pulsar and screw a good engine into it, building it in Italy.
Whoever imagined that this would be a success was sadly mistaken.
Looks like a nasty old Fiat to me. Not the Argenta because of the twin round headlights, so it's an earlier 132 which has the same body shape. I don't know them well enough to get the year accurately so I'll guess at late seventies?
"I sure don't see any Oldsmobiles. The white 2-dr hardtop parked on left looks like a '56 Buick to me...
Looks like an Oldsmobile to me, '55 or '56. "
No, it's definitely a Buick. Take another look. Check out the side molding shape swooping from the front down to just in front of the rear wheel and then over the rear wheel well on to the rear. No Olds had that shape.

They called it a "Sweep Spear" but I can't make it out on that car. It could certainly be a Buick but without a clear Buick cue I still think it's an Olds ('55 or '56).
Actually a very pleasant car to dive but build quality...
The year is mysterious. There is some way to tell them by whether they had round lights with all same size, inner ones smaller, inner ones larger or rectangular (the prettiest).
They had a peculiar habit of trim pieces falling off in your hand

I think I can make out the roof of a 1958-60 Ford Thunderbird in the background near the building.

I think it is a 1964-69 Toyota Crown Mk II.

I'll guess 1964-65.
Too bad they didn't put the year on there. Lemko's right, it's a '63 Fury with the legendary 426 Max Wedge under the hood

Yeah, but you would probably at least wash it once in a while. The whole thing looks filthy.....check the rest of the car......
I agree. But the only convertible I had in the 50's was a '57 Ford Skyliner. No bubbles in that top. :P
