you should see some of the stuff that tries to go through Lake Christy. My fav is when you see the people who get in way over their heads (both literally and figurativly) and need alot of help to get out. I've even seen a Deuce 1/2 get stuck in there and need to be pulled out.
Yep, the full width grille indicates that it's a Triumph TR-3A ('57-'6) or perhaps a TR-3B (TR-3 body w TR-4 engine-'62 only).
The TR-3B was built in response to dealers who thought the TR-4 with it's curved windscreen and rollup windows might be too civilized for roadster fans.
Also, that wagon is narrower and taller than the 60 and has an apparent frame around the tailgate window indicating it is a lift gate rather than roll down window, so I'll go 57 too.
TR-3's were somewhat popular in the Chicago area in the late 50's and early 60's. I recall seeing more of them than MG's. I don't really know nationally and would kind of expect the MG outsold it overall.
Behind the wheel well the side chrome dips diagonally (and then later, becomes horizontal again). If the photo was wider on the left side one could see "Firedome" or "Powermaster" at the dip. The wheel cover is a match.
I don't really know nationally and would kind of expect the MG outsold it overall.
On the East Coast, where I'm from it was pretty even between the MG-A and the TR-3/3A with perhaps a slight edge to the Triumphs. That changed with the introduction of the MG-B which handily beat the TR-4/4A despite the Triumph being a little more powerful. The B with it's unibody was simply a more modern and better put together car.
The white car up front left appears to be a 1963-64 Daimler SP250. The one to the right of the guy in the brown coveralls appears to be a Triumph TR-3. The blue car in the background may be a 1963 Imperial.
Pretty sure that's a '63 Imperial in the background. I like those cars, as some of the goofiness of past years had been toned down by then (like the 'sparrow shredder' taillights!).

The first Rolls Royce I remember was from an old TV show called Burke's Law where the star (Gene Barry) rode around in a RR Silver Cloud, but this looks way older...maybe a 1955 RR Silver Wraith????
1956 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith with body by Mulliner. The Wraith was the first of the post war Rolls Royces and came with a short or long chassis, the short wheelbase car disappearing before the long wheelbase.
Whilst the flavour of the bodywork remains similar between various body-builders, I think this is a Mulliner body.
They really were luxurious. As a teenager, I would occasionally be given a lift to church in one by an elderly lady who took sympathy upon poor country kids who had to board at their city school. It must have been twenty years old, but smelt gloriously of leather and varnished timber.
Years later, a friend (a neurolophysiologist with too much cash to splash) acquired one and I happened upon him, broken down by the roadside. The basic mechanicals were surprisingly robust, but the breakdown too complex for either of us to diagnose.
Confusingly there were several related firms, all called Mulliner, who built bodies for Rolls Royce and later for Bentley (including the gorgeous R and S Continental). We lived for a year in Chiswisk, West London in 1990/91. The HJ Mulliner works had been located in Bath Road, Chiswick until the 1960s and there were still people around who had worked there. The concept of a bespoke body being produced for each client was intriguing; hugely inefficient and the business practises of these Rolls Royce subsidiaries were arcane.
Americans and Australians could order a "hire" vehicle from Rolls Royce to be delivered to the docks at Southampton for the use of these colonials whilst in Britain.
Yes, that is an original 1983 Audi Quattro . This version is popularly known as the "ur-Quattro", "ur" being a prefix used in German to denote the original of something. More than a few cars since have used the words "Audi Quattro" in their name and yes the original revolutionized the World Rally Championship.
I agree, I can't stand the '63 and '64 Chryslers (although I know styling is totally subjective). I could like a '65 300-L, although I know that performance-wise they were a shadow of their former selves. I like the looks a lot better though.
Could they have made that capital "C" in "Chrysler" on the front fender any larger?!

Would y'all have gotten that so fast if Newt hadn't been in the news?

'53 Chevy, I believe a One-Fifty model unless all trim was removed when the car was repainted.
I've always heard those early '50's six-cylinder Chevys were solidly built, but I used to think they were boring as all get-out. I've lately learned to appreciate them more.
I like the '54 grille better than the '53. Of the '49-54's, I like a '49 fastback coupe ("Fleetline") best. I've seen a photo of my late grandparents' '49 Chevy four-door fastback.

I'd have to admit the link was entertaining, not least because the first connection was to a Porn Actress! Correcting the spelling error...
